Title: Malon's Shalott

Date: 28th-Nov-2006
Made for the Ocarina of Time manga version of Adult Malon, who kind of reminds me of "The Lady of Shalott", a romantic poem by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809–1892), and more centrally Elaine of Astolat.
She's locked up in a barn with the cow
What it was like to feel she can't remember how
"This barn's gonna be my grave", She says
"Cause of Ingo, there's no one who can save me,"
She lays down on her hay made bed
She dreams of sweet lovers in her head
She says, "I don't want to live this way
How many Rupees will it take to let me go?
'Cause I'm sick of the darkness
I want to see blue skies
Everyone else can watch as the sun goes down
So why can't I?
And now it's raining
And the Gods are falling from the sky
And the wind
The desert wind I know it's cold
I've been waiting
For the day he will surely come
And when it's here
I'll be safe in his embrace
I'll lay a kiss upon his face
And the wind then won't be cold..."
She looks up through the barnhouse glass
And sees a horse and handsome rider pass
She says, "This man will be my death disease
He's all I will ever want in my life!
I know he hardly knows my name
And that all other girls are all the same to him
But still I've got to escape this place
'Cause I don't want to face another night

Shook as he crashed down from above
And she cried out, "Is it him, my love?
But then I should have guessed it all along
That he is the true prince that will rescue me,"
But a cry for the Princess said just maybe
Her heart broke at how her short lived love got away
And as her heart stopped for that moment she said,
"Well then that explains a thing or two
'Cause I know he's the chosen one
But am I supposed to be alone?
Everyone else gets to watch as their dreams untie
So why can't I?
