((hey sorry guys i haven't really been posting as you noticed i've just had a lot going on lately and being sick doesn't help...))

Saika flew around looking for Marstren and Scorch. She apparently couldn't trust the dragons side at this point or at least the light dragon from that side who doesn't understand reasoning and restraint. She soon relized the sun would riase at any moment. She quickly swooped down into the underdarks and continued her search from there.

((I've only been able to post more often cause I was Sick However as school projects are done with, or not done in my case, I have more time to post. Though, yes, Kmart88 if you still want to invite those people you may and are encouraged to do so. Maybe I can see if that one will come back...))

"Very well we shall chase after them. Though if the situation becomes too dangerous we should pull out. Neither one of us is in very good condition at the moment." Daquee said retrieving a vial from his harness. The contents where an herbal mixture made to heal wounds on the battle field. Daquee sat back on his haunches and wrapped his injured wing around in front of him. There was enough of the liquid to barely cover the area that had received Saika's bite. When finished Daquee fell forward onto his front legs and flexed the wing joint to make sure the medicine had healed it enough. Without saying anything Daquee took to the air and circled waiting for Kummar.

Marstren pushed the button on his hand radio and released it waiting for someone to pick up. Though there was only static at the moment just as it had been the last twenty times he tried. Marstren had made his way back up to Scorch's back hoping for better single, but that hadn't helped.
Then there was some crackling as someone picked up on the other end.
"This is the lieutenant. Marstren you are apparently still alive. So what is your status.?" The voice crackled in and out, but was still audible enough

"Get a fighting squad together. I'm not sure if we were followed or not. Going to be arriving shortley." Marstren Looked back to see if he could see either of the dragons that had been at the out post. "Also send the black fangs to see if they can't find a female dark dragon in the underdarks." Marstren remembered Saika had been at the out post though couldn't see her in the skies.
"Yes, sir." The voice replied quickly.

((Yay! Foxgirl's back!))

Kummar nodded and took off into the air after Daquee. As soon as he was ready and believed Daquee was ready as well, he took off in the direction he had seen the fire dragon go. He planned on having the element of surprise and hoping that the humans would believe that they wouldn't expect he and Daquee to counterattack so soon.

Daquee quickly followed after Kummar. Though the joint midway in his wing had healed significantly from the ointment it was still making flight uncomfortable. Then there was the thought of going another round with the traitor. There can't be any other explanation. But how? Daquee thought not certain he could be right.

"You sure you can keep going?" Marstren asked scorch as they had noticeably descended toward the trees.

"No, I'm not sure I can stay at higher altitude. Though I can still keeps us in the air." Scorch called back hiding his fatigue the best he could. Despite how much he needed to rest he didn't want to stop till they had backup. There was uncertainty if they were followed or not but it would make fighting easier if there were more soldiers.

Saika continued searching wondering if Scorch was still even able to move. She staied cloaked in the underdarks not wanting to be found by the light dragon and wasn't sure anymore if she could trust Kummar sense he was on the side of the light dragon Daquee that tried to kill her.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 28, 2009 7:25 pm
Kummar could see that he and Daquee were coming up on the fire dragon fast. "There he is. Let's strike fast before they get a chance to try anything." he told the higher-up. If felt strange giving orders to someone who was much higher in rank than he was, but whatever got the job done was best.
Kummar quickly descended down towards Scorch from the left side, hoping that Daquee would follow and strike from the right side. If things went right, they could catch the dragon between them and end the fight right there before it could even start.

Daquee followed Kummar's lead and came down on Scorch's right side. Then the human on his back shouted something and the dragon dropped down before he was hit from both sides. Daquee gave one more forceful downbeat before folding his wings tightly against his body and going into a barrel roll in an arch over Kummar. "Little pest!" Daquee shouted at the human as he opened his wings and regained stable flight. "Then there's you! Shouldn't you be dead Estellion? You were, after all, executed four hundred years ago by the emperor himself. Don't try and hide it nobody has been able to recreate the technique know as Fire rose's vine." Daquee was certain that they were indeed fighting one of the empire's most successful generals even if he was supposedly long dead.

"Scorch what is he." Marstren paused not sure what to believe. "What is he talking about?" Marstren was not very convinced of what Daquee was saying, but he was still unsure what to believe either.

Scorch growled in an irritated tone. "Later, right now we have to survive before anything else." There was just somethings Scorch had hoped would never come up. His past identity was just one he figured no one would ever figure our. Little whelp just had to go and open his mouth. Scorch thought hoping that this could improve their chances of escape just slightly. Though facing Marstren and his rebels and telling them everything would be hard to do.

The lieutenant had joined the leader of the team of black dragons called the Black fangs. They were mostly deployed for reconnaissance and some stealth missions, and most of the time they were in the underdarks as escorts or city guards. However this time they were going to be used as a retrieval team. A good change of pace the lieutenant thought sitting on the back of the dark dragon. "All units report in." The lieutenant said into his mike.
"Nothing."
"Nadda."
"No sign of her this way."
"Clear on this end."
"Nothing out this way. Just some hungry creatures."
"Still clear at the convoy."
The lieutenant sighed having no choice but to continue the search anyway.

Kummar closed in on Scorch, right behind his tail. He clenched his fist and the blade he used to cut Daquee free came out from the top of his wrist. He reached out with his other claw and grabbed Scorch's tail. He'd either cut apart Scorch, or cut off his tail.

Marstren went to remove his glove again despite how exhausted he was from before. Though before he could a smaller tendril wrapped around his hand restraining him from doing what he was going to. Marstren didn't bother to fight against it since he knew he wouldn't win anyway.

Scorch had something else planned and, unlike Marstren, he could afford to get tired. Six of the tendrils on the carrier unit unwrapped and the other two took their place. One of the tendrils quickly wrapped around Scorch's tail creating a sort of armor. The other five lunged at Kummar striking for cracks in his armor.

Daquee took the impact of one of the tendrils with a light barrier and retaliated by cutting off the tip with a blade of light. The fight was getting risky in Daquee's opinion. Though he was going to let Kummar call retreat since it was originally his mission.

Saika finally located Shorch and Marstren but they had begun to fight Daquee and Kummar once again. She then suddenly relized that she was surrounded by a team of dark dragons. She knew she couldn't take them all on by herself but just maybe she could put on a good enough fight to make them pull back. She stopped and then released her hold on her presence letting it be known to all those around her. She sat waiting for them to close in farther. Although they might mean well she couldn't take that chance again thanks to the encounter with the other dark dragon from earlier.

Kummar backed away from the repeated attack on the weak points in his armor by the tendrils. Instead of going for Scorch, he swooped down to reach the carrying equipment that the humans were being held in. He tried to cut it loose from Scorch. Either the humans would end up coming with him and Daquee, or die in this fight.

((I got distracted... again.))

"Scorch. Let them go they might survive longer anyway. We need to end this before we get them killed in cross fire." Marstren said with his fists clenched hard enough to make his knuckles white. The decision was hard, but with any luck it would be better than be killed in a raid.

The tendrils retracted releasing the unit. Scorch wasn't going to question Marstren's judgment. The raids were the worst to go through especially for those that were captured. Usually fate's similar to the experiments done on Marstren were what the captured went through.

Daquee grabbed the unit and flashed away to a point high above Scorch. The crate had gained weight from the passengers, who were probably slightly sickened from the light speed travel. "You lot are in very capable claws now. You'll probably make good little workers till you die!" Daquee said laughing since they had just succeeded.

The dark dragon commander landed a short distance from Saika, and the lieutenant slid down off his back. "I assume you are the one we were sent to find. We are sending out an invite to come stay with us is all." The lieutenant said having delivered the line several other times and, over time, finding it the most successful.

Saika eased her stance slightly but was still cautious feeling the presence of the other members not to far off. So then why do you have so many for a simple retrival mission she asked.

As soon as Scorch dropped the prisoners, Kummar broke off the attack and backed up to where the carrying unit and Daquee were. "I guess that takes care of that. Shall we head back?" he asked as he watched Scorch fly away. Although the whole trip hadn't turned out as planned, the end result was still the same. The outpost had been destroyed and he and Daquee were still bringing back the human captives.
And yet, something was bugging him at the back of his mind. Like he had forgotten something important. After a few moments of thinking hard and remembering what he'd done the last few hours, it finally came back to him. The dark dragon, Saika. He had told her he was going to take her back to one of the dragon's cities. But she was gone now and he had no idea where she could have gone. On top of that, there was no way Daquee was going to let a dark dragon get anywhere within 100 kilometers of him. Kummar was probably going to have to find her on his own later and see if she'd still take him up on his earlier offer.

The lieutenant backed up to let the dragon commander explain. "Well my unit doesn't have much to do. Marstren asked us to send out a search party for you. I think he is good despite what the Emperor tells us the human's heritage is." The commander glanced back as three of the search party arrived curious to see who they had been looking for.

"Yes, while we don't have perfect accommodations for dragons at any of our cities we still have better than the damp caverns at the slave camps." The lieutenant added since he had prior knowledge to the make of the caves. Though he didn't mention anything of the cities that recently came up. They had seemed very suited for their dragon occupants.

Daquee remained silent for a few seconds thinking about how to give the report. "Yes, we shall. I think your performance might be worth mentioning to the Emperor when I give the report. Just make sure you're presentable since your armor got beat up fairly bad." Since it had not originally been Daquee's job to do any of this it would be safe to say Kummar may have to add his two cents.
