REAL ENDING:
Then next day Regulust, whom everyone loved dearly, logged on and opened up his PM box to see a guild notice "Oh s**t," he said "I've been b--Promoted?"
"You have been promoted to Guild Captain by Meta_Fish.
Meta_Fish listed these reasons for the promotion 'I quit, lolz!'"
And then The Cult really did blow up.
