Lizzy had barely made it to the room at the end of the tunnel with Mot's help when she felt a surge of electricity strong and painful enough to knock her out.

By the time she was conscious again, the hunters had already started to attack, most of them disguised in golems; in the past, she might had rushed to defend, maybe even attack. However, although Professor QB had made it clear that 'hunters' no longer classify as 'humans' due to the weapons - and thus, Fear-based power - that they wielded, it still didn't stop her from feeling hesitant about physically fighting, when it just seemed like an endless loop of 'fight, net, escape'... And she was tired of that. So very tired.

Through blurry eyes, she was vaguely aware of a particular cowboil standing guard by her, and although she had no motivation to move, Lizzy appreciated what he was doing... Even if it just added to her internal conflict. Maybe, if she could just stand up and pretended that she cared about the fight, she could help her big brother out a bit-

-she never got the chance though.

Appearing in Nurse Cricket's office, the demoness groaned, shivering as she hugged herself, hands gripping either side of her arms; no matter how many times she had dissipated, she was never going to get used to that feeling... That feeling of being blown apart, only to somehow reform later. It was unpleasant, and as thankful as she was for not being as fragile as a human, she also did not appreciate that sense of helplessness that came with the

"Shun? Mitsu? Mot?" She called out hesitantly, looking end of every conflict... Perhaps death would have been the easier route out.around the room; students were slowly reforming around, but she felt too disoriented to stand up at the moment, choosing to sit at the edge of the cot she had appeared in, "Guys...?"

A small, selfish part of her wish that Mac had been there, because it would have been nice for it to be her boilfriend who was standing guard, but the bigger part of her was pretty contended; if something had happened to her - and who knows, something might just happen to her in the future, judging from her involvement in these things - at least she would be able to know for sure that Mac was alright. He'll have the chance to go on without her.

Mot woke up, sore, stiff. His vision blurred into focus, slowly taking in what was around him. Cricket's office. Something had happened back there, and he'd been dissipated. He'd been.. protecting Lizzy. From hunters and their guns.

Lizzy!

Mot sat up, seeing the demoness murmuring for her friends. "Lizzy, I'm right here." Mot called, getting out of bed and approaching the pink haired student. "You're okay?"  

[Seussi]

Alex did not awake with a gasp or a cry out of pain. When he awoke, eyes fluttering open to stare at the ceiling of a familiar room, it was too a feeling of relief. He had dissipated, and a glance to the side showed him other beds were full of students as well, some waking, some still knocked out. Dissipating sucked, but it at least meant that they were all safe.

Pushing his stiff body up into a sitting position, he reached up with one hand to rub at his face. That had been intense, and he felt incredibly stupid for letting himself get into that kind of position again. Oh well, it was over now at least.

But no, it wasn't over, of course not. There were so many questions left unanswered. Something huge was happening, and if they weren't careful, they were probably all going to end up like those students in that trance. Finally he let his had drop to the side. He was still feeling groggy, and weak, but he needed to make sure all of his friends were okay before he did anything else. He pushed himself from the bed, standing shakily on his feet, and searched through the students for familiar faces.

It was perhaps the familiar face that he didn't see that struck him with an icy cold feeling in his gut.

Where was Yin? Surely he didn't already awaken and just leave without the zomboil? He frowned in puzzlement, eyes scanning the room once more. No..no, he definitely was not here. Well, maybe he had already left. Likely back in his dorm room, possibly waiting for Alex. Yes, that made absolute sense because...because maybe the dissipation had upset him and he had gone to get comfort from his rabo, Princess Eva. Right, that's probably all it was.

He hesitated to leave himself, not wanting to abandon his friends, but something was niggling away at him now, worming through his undead insides and threatening to overcome his logic with all encompassing doubt. He needed to get to Yin's room, and see for himself that the other boil was safe, to put those doubts to rest.

"Sorry guys, I'll check in on you all later." He murmured quietly, feeling quite bad for just leaving, before he stumbled his way out.

((Exiting))  

[Dragain]

"Mot!" She sounded more relieved that anything to see Mot's face. Forgetting about how weak her legs felt, she stood up, only to stumble forward, smack right into the boil. She ended up hugging him, face buried in his chest, her voice muffled as she replied, "As okay as always... I suppose..."

Nuru came to with a loud startled sound. Was it all just a dream? Where had the little scareling gone that could barely speak just before he was about to save them... had he failed? Did the kelpy kick him and do as she pleased anyway?

It all felt hazy now, he's got to tell Zar all about the amazing adventure! Or dream! Whichever it really was, before he forgot it entirely!

With that he shot up and out of the office and towards the demon dorms, argument be damned - chaotic adventure seemed more important right now!

[ EXIT ]

Mot gasped slightly as Lizzy tripped, luckily his chest being there for her, effectively breaking her stumble. His arms came around her shoulders immediately, making sure she didn't collapse. "Hey now... let me walk you home, okay? Or.. did you want to see Mac?" Mot was content being Lizzy's protector, any time, any place.  

[Dragain]

"Um..." She didn't reply immediately, taking her time to weigh her options before slowly looking up, "Can we... Take a short walk around before going to the dorms? I can't decide where I want to go..." Besides, she wanted to talk, and she didn't feel comfortable doing that in the nurse's office.  

[Bittiface]

Mot nodded softly, keeping on arm around her shoulder, and another guiding her arm, he led her out of the Nurse's office.

[[Exit]]

So Lizzy left.

There and back again. Mort didn't know how to feel as he woke up in the familiar confines of the nurse's office. Numb was the best way to put it. Uncaring. Neutral bordering completely impassive.

Just one niggling question: why them? Why always /them/?

He sat up for a few moments, his mind free floating in a haze of unfocused thoughts before, determining that he was there and whole, he slid off the cot and headed out. Had the others come and gone already?

Probably. Mort was ever behind after all.

Waking with a sudden start, the Jiang Shi sat up grasping at the air. The pain had been so horrible and even now her entire being ached and throbbed. Blinking, she looked around. A sad smile on her lips, happy to be out of that place and back at the school.

But something felt very wrong. Very very wrong.

Without a word to any of the other students she made her way out, heading back to her dorm. Where it was safe. She hoped.

Calder woke groggy and dizzy as he laid on one of the many cots in Nurse Cricket's office. One moment he was torturing a small foxfire minipet, and then there was glowing tiles and breaking floors and so much bright light.

Now he was here, and breathing out, he slowly rose to look around. There were a few other students in bed too, which meant he didn't just have a dream or trance. "Ohh. That was rough." He grumbled, before reaching back into his pocket and finding his phone.

Text to Barth: Hunters showed up in fake bodies. Horsemen came to take care of it. I managed to get one and was torturing another. Back at Nurse's office. Doing fine.

Love you.

Calder breathed out a sigh of relief before closing his phone and looking around.

"Amrita?"

Calder rose from his bed, feeling weak in the legs and pounding in his head, but he wasn't bad off. No. He was more concerned than hurt. Rising up, he started to check beds, half-joking in his head that Amrita was in parts. Probably some sad pile like Christof usually was whenever he got in a fight. But he aw no parts, and after walking up and down the row of cots, he started to get concerned.

"Has anyone seen Amrita?" He asked, but no one either knew who Amrita was after he described her or saw her.

She was in that net. You were playing around and she was in a net. Why were you playing with that hunter and not freeing here? You said you'd be by her side!

He stormed out of the office, taking out his Eyephone to call her.

It rang, rang, and went to voice mail. He sent a text.

Text to Amrita: Where are you? didn't see you in the Office. Are you okay? Call me!

He tried calling her again as he left.

When everything went to hell in the underground cave, Mitzi had fallen and hit her head. She'd managed to get to the edge and out of the battle, where she wouldn't get herself badly hurt, but had neither found her friends nor helped at all. (Yep, that's the story I'm going with, I really can't think of anything better.) So when she woke up in the infirmary, she was furious at herself, and stumbled off back to her room to rest. Whatever had gone down, she was determined that next time she'd be ready, and not such a derp to knock herself out of the fight right at the beginning.
