After visiting the Amekage's office, Koukotsu flew out on the same bird, having delivered the message he was instructed to.

The gates of Amegakure stood shrouded in mist, further blinded by the rain falling. Aoto appeared out of thin air at the gates as he was assigned, letting his scroll roll off his shoulder and crash onto the ground like he always does. The scroll crashed onto the moist earth, leaving a small crater. Aoto held the scroll vertically and leaped on top of it, sitting criss-cross and entering a sort of meditative state. He awaited Kemuri to arrive at the gates, and for those who seek to enter Rain.
