Unfortunately, Evelyne-Aglaya was drowning in the heap of treasure that filled the area. His legs struggled to part through all of it, shoulders, arms and above the only things visible. A few moths had been crushed in the process, but a lot took refuge in the nest of pure white hair that the demon had. Others fluttered about, a clear indication to where the Grand Bois was. Grunting and struggling, it took awhile til Ev could pull himself up, looking about desperately.
But there was nothing for him to grab onto, and the treasure just began to crush and smother him. In his dismay, Evelyne-Aglaya had seen something familiar... wings, pale and brown... "Ulmuka..~!" he tried calling out, the moths fluttering and spinning frantically above his drowning figure, clearly in a panic.

"A pleasure to meet you, Angenora," 'Ares' replied courteously, still not letting her eyes drift too far from Robert, "Being a boil is not the worst thing that could happen." This was not the sort of conversation she wanted to be having around him, not because he was a child, but because she didn't trust him half as far as she could throw him. And she could probably throw him pretty far. As if to accentuate this thought, War's heir turned her attention back onto the mini!hunter, razor-sharp regard shifting back to him. It was clear that 'he' did not hold the same concern for him as the student on the table did. Narrowing his heated brown eyes a little at the blonde child, large masculine fingers tightened on the jaw he still kept in his palm.
"My dear, you can be no mere child," he replied, tone growing just a little tighter, a hint more threatening. There was no malice to it, but the edge to her voice implied she would take no s**t from him. "Children do not simply stumble into situations such as these," she continued, leaning forward a bit, their faces a few inches apart. Once again, War looked him over, this time with a much colder interest -- as a woman, she was all for games, but apparently as a man, she was far more domineering. "Nor do they act so cavalier about seeing a demon." That was it. He wasn't afraid -- he wasn't cowering or scared, not in the way a child should be. He didn't seem to have the mentality of a child. "You have seen my kind before. So, child, I ask again, and this time it would be wise for you to think about your answer -- what are you?"
Leaning back again, she let go of his chin, straightening. The muscles of her shoulders rippled as she tensed, seeming far more intimidating as a boil than a ghoul. A flicker of motion in the corner of her eye, however, caught her attention, drawing her gaze away from the child sitting next to her. Instead, it focused on a patchwork not far away, the female voice carrying across the sea of gold. For a second, Ares was confused, giving the student the same suspicious, firm look she'd been giving the hunter, her distrust extending automatically from the previous situation. It wasn't until it clicked in her head who it was that her eyebrows lifted, surprise evident in her expression. "Mort?" Extending her wings, almost enough to knock Robert off the curtain rod, she leaned forward, one hand gripping the rod to keep from falling, the other reaching for 'her,' wings beating hard.

And things started going to hell again. For one, something had clearly happened to Mort's brain as well as his body. The look in his eyes was one she'd seen many a time in the eyes of a young girl, a look that suggested easy manipulation and the ability to obtain ownership. Never before could she recall seeing it in the eyes of a boy, with the exception being towards another boy. She supposed that perhaps, as it had with her, the change had directly affected his mannerisms as well, making him far more vulnerable to her new, distinctly male body, however she wasn't quite sure. Mentally, 'Ares' made a note to try to jump start it with a car battery for good measure, if she ever had the presence of mind to remember to pick one up in the human realm.
For another thing, the child 'he' had been interrogating fell off the rod at the same time.
"Oh hells bells."
Postponing her retrieval of Mort for the moment, the horseman shoved his fist back down into the gold vortex, reaching around until he felt the wild blonde hair beneath his fingertips and pulling hard. Luckily (or, rather unluckily for Robert,) the fistful was enough to drag his head from beneath the pool of treasure, enough that when Ares let go of it, he was able to snatch up a fistful of his collar to drag him out by. "You must have a death wish," he hissed, looking far more annoyed than he had a second before. Shoving Robert down next to him on the rod again, War pressed his large palm against the boy's chest, giving him an aggressive shove to make sure he stayed where he put him before reaching out to grab for Mort again. This time, she was more successful -- grabbing the Fem!Mort's hand, Ares pulled 'her' from where the zombie had been perched, scooping her finally into his lap.
"Now," he said finally, turning his hard gaze on Robert again, lashing out quickly to tangle his fingers in the hair at the nape of his neck, "Where were we?"

Whether through the weight of the strange purple dinosaur or because of the sheer amount of well gold literally drowning them, apparently there is such a thing as too many riches, the floor finally groaned one last time, heaved-
- and collapsed entirely, throwing everyone into a black vortex.
Everyone landed on something soft with a soft thump, some a little less graceful than others. Thankfully the singing purple dinosaur was nowhere to be seen. Sadly, neither was the gold, even any that anyone had tried to pocket. All that remained was a strange sky, full of stars, unseen before in most of Halloween, the ground covered in grass. A little behind all of them was a large monument, familiar to some:
To its left a strange piece of blackened land, charred and blasted. They were at the haunted house. As the clouds finally cleared, enough to reveal a full moon flickering oddly in the light fog surrounding everyone, as all Hunters and students looked around-
- they would notice, they were back to normal, and not just normal as in what they were currently wearing but normal as in they looked like they would have when they entered the incident of the Haunted House exactly three months ago. However, was it permanent or temporary?
