The crimson-eyed man met the hazel gaze of his partner, his expression impassive. Having seen a glimpse of the real Faleen had been a surprise, but he knew he couldn't allow her to leave her true self exposed for too long. The harder and thicker the walls were, the more likely it was that the person they protected was helpless without them. After Umbreon's death had done so much damage to her metaphorical fortress already, Izaya couldn't allow his partner to fall apart. At least not here in front of the other trainers. He knew she would regret it later, possibly with worse consequences.
Why was he feeling so much concern, so much sympathy? Why focused on one human being? Though he told himself it was nothing, what little he did admit to himself allowed him to relate to the blonde woman in a small way. He too had walls that made up a fortress to protect his heart while he let his head make the decisions. It was the idea of how he would feel were those walls torn down that made him feel he knew just how vulnerable Faleen was at the moment.
Nodding at the agent's command, Izaya gave the trainers a final look. Rockets or not, they were all human. They all hurt. They were all mortal and they all had feelings. If only they could see and understand and control their emotions...but then, they probably wouldn't be human, would they? With a small, grim smile, the grunt put his hood back over his head and did as he was told.

The immediate threat passed, leaving Luke with a very empty sense of relief. Practically everyone was hurt, some severely, and there he was, perfectly intact. Unscathed from a conflict that had been his own damn fault - just like everything always was. Rosie was hurt, but did he even have the right to try and help her?
No, shut up, it was his duty as a human being to help her. He moved to kneel over her, tentatively, briefly laying a hand at her cheek before moving his hands to her shoulders to straighten her position. "Rosie, can you hear me? I--" Unexpectedly there were tears in his eyes, falling readily as his posture shrank and crumpled from the guilty knife that twisted itself through his stomach. "I'm sorry… Everyone, I'm sorry, I--"

As the Rockets took their leave, Ray dug in her pocket for her phone, pressing in trhee numbers and putting it to her ear. "We're at the Vermilion city park off of Shock street, We've just been attacked by a couple of Rockets, there is injured, pretty bad!"
Ray stayed on the phone with the emergency call as they sent help, staying with Sera to make sure she didn't move, "Hen," Ray said after glancing over to the girl, handing her the phone. "Stay on the phone with them, if they ask you anything answer them the best you can okay?"
Ray pressed a hand to the gunshot on Sera's shoulder as it seemed to not stop bleeding, looking over at Luke. "Sorry for what? Hey! HEY! How is Rosie?"
She looked over at Dove, who had a nasty pokemon bite. "Dove just keep putting pressure on your wounds, Tymiko help her with that,"

As soon as the Zoroark got off her, Isabella growled as she staggered to her feet, then stumbled forward and almost fell again before she managed to stay upright. She paused a few moments to make sure that her shoulder could actually support her weight and she wouldn't collapse again, then made her way over to Ray and Sera with as little limping as possible, despite the pain that surged through her shoulder with every single step.
Sera was not at all okay with what was happening. Not at all. She didn't even know if Faleen was still there or not, or who the third voice was or anything. All she knew was that Rosie was hurt and Luke was there, but Rosie was hurt and holy s**t absolutely none of this was okay at all.
Ray's hands pushing down on her shoulder elicited a pained noise, almost a whine, before she got completely sick of it and twisted away with a sudden effort. Almost instantly after she'd half crawled, half stumbled over to her friend and practically threw a hug over the blonde girl's shoulders while saying something that was probably Rosie's name but she wasn't exactly focused on making proper words at the moment. She wasn't aware of the tears in her eyes, even as they fell down her cheeks, nor was she aware of the fact she'd started trembling at some point. She didn't even seem to be aware of the fact that her shoulder still bled and throbbed, quite possibly due to the sheer amount of adrenaline coursing through her. The only thing she was aware of was that Rosie had been hurt and knocked down and she absolutely had to be okay. Rosie wasn't allowed to not be okay, because she was her best friend.

The immediate danger was gone, and once the Rockets were gone for sure, Dove felt her shoulders began to tremble as her body finally started fighting relax from the stony tension.
She moved her arm from her side, the one the Absol had dragged her by and stared at the torn flesh, before trying to straighten to look at the others-- which she immediately regretted, and she shrunk down again, her uninjured arm wrapped over her stomach, her hand pressed tightly to one injured side over the gash the claws had left, her elbow smeared in blood from the other.
Reality of the situation began to set in, now that they were 'safe', and even Ray directed Tymiko to help her, the young woman just sat in silence, trying to even out her breathing--the last thing she needed was an asthma attack-- and the racing pace of her heart.
Her eyes fell to Rosie and Luke, and over a short, short time Sera as they came together, and she stayed put, knowing the blonde was in the best hands she could possibly find herself in. Worry stayed settled throughout her body, and though the urge to move toward them nearly overwhelmed her, she stayed back, looking instead to Yuri and the others. Rosie wasn't the only one she cared about, after all, and she didn't want to mess up Luke and Sera's efforts, whatever they might be. Instead, with much effort, she moved herself to the fallen swordsman's side, relieved to find him unconscious, yes, but otherwise unharmed.
She closed her eyes and swayed again, the enormity of the situation hanging over all of them closing in too fast: They had just been attacked by rockets... An Absol had attacked her directly.... Rosie knew her sister was a Rocket now.... Luke blamed himself and was hurting...Sera was hurt, and Rosie was hurt, Isabella was hurt, she was hurt...
She swallowed hard as the pain finally came forth in the form of tears, her eyes closed but the scene around her clear in her mind.
None of this was okay. This hurt wasn't okay, not for them, and she decided then, that pain was worse than the throbbing of her own wounds.

...?
Consciousness wavered in and out for a while and then hit him like a brick. Dith groaned, cursed under his breath and pushed himself into a sitting position. There had been... what, a shock? He must have hit his head on the ground. What had-
Blood.
There was blood.
His ears were ringing but he thought he heard Ray on the phone - good. Right. So.... Right.
Dith pushed himself up onto his knees and tried to assess the situation. Rosie, Sera, Dove. Two fully conscious, that was a start. s**t, why couldn't he focus? Oh yes, that would be because he'd hit his head.
"Dove." Dith blinked in a rather dazed fashion as he waited for the rest of the thought to arrive. "Pressure, elevate that arm." Was that a bullet wound on Sera's shoulder? And Rosie had some kind of head injury. After a few moments and a false start Dith managed to get to his feet and over to Sera and Rosie. "Sera, I need to put pressure on that wound, okay?"
What the hell had just happened?

Henrietta fumbled with the phone as Ray handed it to her and then pressed it against her ear, a little firmer than she needed to, as though holding onto the phone was some kind of lifeline. Several times, when she was asked normal questions about what people were doing or how they were, she found herself nodding before remembering to answer yes or no. She kept looking around, stunned at what had happened, but having been given the phone and told to stay on it, she was, at least, appearing calmer than she felt; it helped to be feeling like she was helping somehow. There was anger growing inside, now that the attack was over, but while Ray had tasked her with phone duty, it was remaining subdued to her focus on that and her worry for her friends. She watched as Dith and Yuri moved, relieved, and relayed that information into the phone too, along with what they were doing.

Luke failed to find words for a response to Ray, swallowing harshly. This image was somehow familiar, reminiscent of countless dreams, but that familiarity failed to inspire any comfort. The inquiry after Rosie's condition, however, directed his thoughts at least temporarily from guilt and self-deprecation. He took her hand, holding it lightly and speaking in quiet, firm tones, "Rosie, I want you to let me know if you can hear me. Just nodding or moving your hand is fine. Just let me know, okay?"
Sera's actions, though he fully understood their motivation, were distressing to Luke, and he moved his unoccupied hand to her uninjured shoulder, attempting to attract her attention, "Seraphine, you're hurt. Please let someone help you." Faintly he acknowledged that Dith was addressing his friend with words that were almost synonymous.

Dove weakly nodded at the advice Dith gave her, then looked to her arm, knowing she needed to fully assess the damage done. The others were being tended to, and though she wanted to check on each personally, she knew it would be foolish and unneeded.
With an extreme hesitancy in her face, she lifted her arm to better inspect the injury, and nearly choked. The flesh of her forearm was covered in blood, the tissues torn both from the bite itself and the jerking and pulling from both captor and captured. Her limbs trembled violently, and she dreaded even trying to look down to her midsection. Though not as easily inspected, it offered extreme pain, and if the tattered remains of her blouse were any indication, she wasn't sure she even wanted to see the wound before medics had their chance to clean her up. Sparky had done well in making sure the Absol hadn't pinned her down, but in his attempt to throw it off of her completely, he had possibly done more damage than he had intended, but the thought of what could have happened--and what had happened to the others--quelled he panic that swam in her stomach.
As she pushed aside the thoughts and lowered her arm, Yuri appeared beside her, and she lifted her eyes to him, her expression a mix of exhaustion, fear, and relief. When he began to bind her arm with the sash, she swallowed hard. "Th-Thank you..." she said softly, her consciousness swimming. "Are you okay?"
