Phoebe's fear immediately dissipated into confusion as he was confronted with what was more a pet dog than a beastly monster. Blinking in confusion, he slowly raised one hand to pet Dragon's head and smiled nervously. "G-good boy?" He ruffled the hair a little, not entirely sure what was going on. Ready to test an idea, the former lawyer picked up a random ball of yarn he'd thrown carelessly away earlier and tossed it away. "Go get the ball!"

The demon perked up and leaned into the touch when his hair was rubbed. He nuzzled the hand for a second until he noticed movement out of the corner of his eyes. Dragon snapped his head to see the ball picked up. He glanced at it curiously and watched it fly away with interest, the only time he animated was when Phoebe told him to get it. His claws digging into the ground, Dragon dashed out towards quickly, catching it in his mouth just after it landed. The speed that had once been used to hunt down his food was now used to catch a toy for Phoebe.
Dragon reached the host in the blink of an eye. He crouched back down and took the ball out of his mouth then offered it to the older male, panting lightly and giving him a toothy smile.

Phoebe's eye twitched as the ball was brought back to him, taking it in one hand and staring in confusion at the creature. Was this really happening? He threw the ball once more, citing the former command, then taking out his cell phone. He searched up different ways to train a dog, standing and moving over to the bed. Looking to Dragon, he patted the bed beside him and licked his lips in preparation. "Come here, boy!"

Dragon was just picking up the ball when he heard Phoebe's next command. He quickly looked at him - had he really been a dog then his ears would have perked up - then made a mad dash towards him. Taking the pat on the bed as a sign, the demon aimed to land on the side of the bed. He used a little too much speed, however, and fell against the mattress recklessly, but quickly recovered and sat next to Phoebe. His clawed hand reached up and handed the ball that had been tightly gripped the entire time back to the lawyer.

With a tired sigh, Phoebe took the ball and scratched behind Dragon's ear, looking over to the wall. How had his life come to this? To having a lover that coincided with a pet? He sighed once more, tossing the ball away and leaning on the pillows. "Go get it, boy!" he commanded, tucking his hair behind his ear.

Dragon jumped off the bed and chased after the yarn ball that rolled away from him. It bounced off the doors and settled on the ground. The demon reached for it when a knock came at the door.
"M-Master?" came the sound of a young maid, her voice muffled from behind the doors. "I-I heard some noises and came to check if you were all right." She was timid, it was either because she heard the growls and snarls Dragon made earlier, or because she knew what they did before that.
The demon hesitated for a second then bared his fangs and growled threateningly at the doors. The hands that reached for the yarn now flexed their claws and readied a strike. Whoever was behind that door wasn't Phoebe, and was therefore both an intruder that could be hostile towards Phoebe, or a meal for him.

"Dragon, no!" shouted the redhead, standing up and holding his hands up. They shook as they pointed at the creature. "Bad boy! Don't attack the maid!" he scolded firmly, trying his best to seem domineering.

Dragon slammed his shoulder against the doors, making them bulge outward for a moment before returning to normal, but it was enough to make the young maid shriek in surprised fear. The demon growled and got ready to hit the doors again when he heard Phoebe yell at him. He quickly retracted his claws and slouched in his stance. His demonic silver eyes darted away as a pout formed on his lips, a pitiful whimper escaping them.

Unable to take the pout that came from his raised voice, Phoebe lifted himself from the bed and moved over to Dragon, petting his head and smiling softly. "Hey, it's alright," he cooed soothingly. "I understand, you were trying to protect me. You're still my good boy, Dragon~" He scratched behind his beloved's ear, trying hard not to think too much of the situation.

At the soft words and the gentle scratches behind his ear, Dragon smiled and panted happily as he leaned against the hand. He leaned in quickly and licked Phoebe's cheek until he remembered the door. The demon turned his head to stare warily at the door, a threatening look in his eyes. He stayed still but was tense. There were no knocks or voices, the maid had long run away, but something made him want to go outside. He turned and scratched his claws against the door, whimpering as he did so. He turned his head and looked at Phoebe expectantly, hoping he would know what he wanted. If not, his growling stomach happily answered all the questions.

The redhead started towards the door as he heard the whimper, knowing that he couldn't let Dragon out without something to keep him in check. He looked around the room, trying to find a makeshift collar and leash. Well, there was that studded collar that had been given to him as a prank a few years ago.
One flipped closet and ripped curtain tail later, a leashed Dragon was finally unleashed from the bedroom, the end of the rope connected to the hand of a pretty young lawyer. "Let's go down to the kitchen to get you something to eat," he purred, petting Dragon's head before nudging him.

The demon grunted and scratched at the spiked collar that bound him, but he forgot all about it when he was pet on the head, making him pat happily again.
As soon as the doors opened, Dragon took off. He didn't seem to understand the concept of the leash around him, and his strength made him forget all about Phoebe. He pounced to the ground, digging his claws in to let him run faster. He dashed through the hallway when a weight on his leash pulled at his collar, making him gag and stop just at the stairs. The demon coughed and angrily scratched at his collar again then turned around to look at the weight that stopped him. Remembering Phoebe, Dragon brightened up and panted happily as he waited for him to recover.

Wincing as he hit the ground due to the sudden stop, Phoebe stood to his feet and rubbed his shoulder that hurt from the sharp tugging and dragging he'd just endured. Struggling to smile at the pet he'd unexpectedly required, the panting young male coughed several times into his fist, then cleared his throat and nodded slowly. "Pl-please go slowly," he tried to ask.

Panting playfully, the demon reached over to lick Phoebe's cheek then looked down at the stairs. He moved fast, but he did heed the host's warning. He stopped every five steps to look over his shoulder and make sure the other could catch up.
After several more sudden stops and pulls, Dragon reached the bottom of the stairs. He sniffed the air curiously and hungrily, trying to catch the scent of the nearest prey.
