Duke's Thunderbolt hit its mark, and the Articuno staggered back with an indignant squawk moments before it felt two pokemon latch onto it - a Sharpedo attached to one wing, and an Arcanine on the other - and it squawked again in surprise and alarm. Even as it struggled to free itself, another pokemon - Mircalla - successfully latched onto one of its wings, and Glit would have an easy time wrapping herself around the bird, who was almost immediately subjected to Night Shade. While all of its feathers and flesh remained attached, the Articuno found itself essentially grounded by the four pokemon that had latched themselves onto it.

Thus rooted to the spot, the young legendary had no hope of dodging the Thunder that descended and coursed through its veins. Unfortunately for Baron, Viceroy, Mircalla and Glit, they would all also be subjected to Zacharel's Thunder. Despite having little room left in which to do so, Oktavia would also be able to latch onto a wing.

The Articuno opened its beak and let out a long, frightened shriek - almost desperate - even as it summoned another Blizzard attack at everyone in the area.

A second cry, this one more plaintive and pleading, could be heard far overhead.

As the young Articuno pair screeched and shrieked, each of the Rockets' pokedexes - even those who were still out in the field, in case they had returned while Rook was away - received a hastily written message from the elite: cant keep it distracted--adult returning. commotion attracting league attn as well. capture w/ pokeball, tie it up, get DNA, do w/e you can & be ready to jump in van and go. eta five minutes or less, adult may be quicker but im right behind it.

"Protect!" Lex called out, Spins moving forward and cast the shield to keep the ones closest to him protected. He frowned, looking over his tired Serperior and paused, swiftly pulling out his dex and read. "s**t," He muttered and fumbled in his bag, searching for a pokeball.. had one..

Yes. He tossed the pokeball at the Second grounded Articuno hoping it worked. "We have company! Five minutes tops, we need to get everything wrapped up and gone, faster if possible."

"What the hell?" KO could only stare in horror as a bolt of lightning arced down to strike not only the Articuno, but all of the pokemon hanging onto it. After the initial moment of horror - in which Viercroy finally fainted - he rounded on Michiko. "Are you insane?" he demanded, but there was no time for more than that because another vicious blizzard had been unleashed, that took Duke down, and-

"Oh great!" They were going to have company. "Regent, Helping Hand, power up Baron. Baron, I want blood and flesh and don't you dare swallow it!"

The pair of pokemon obeyed, the Umbreon blasting a pulse of blue light at Baron from his rings while the Sharpeado tried to pull back with its bite.

Wishing he had something better than just a couple of Great Balls and a couple of standard Pokeballs KO readied one of the former to throw if Lex's attempt failed. With his free hand he recalled Duke and Viceroy and reached for his last pokeball; Cojiro wouldn't last long out there but there was a chance he could get a sample and any chance was one to take right now.

"Yes! Get in! Mircalla, ya beauty! 'Ang on to that w- wait, Thunder?" Clancy's eyes widened, and he turned from encouraging his fish to yell a "No, don't!" that was far far too late, at Michiko.
"Ya bloody moron!" The red head yelled, now entirely out of pokémon. "What the bloody 'ell are you thinking?! I'm outta critters!" Clancy's eyes were wide and he shook his head, recalling his team out of the chaos, when he turned away from Michiko, his eyes still furious and his jaw in a growl.
He nearly broke his pokédex when it alerted him to the message and scowled at it, before digging through his pockets...
He still had the wrench he always carried, not a lot of good that would do unless he wanted to beat someone with it... and... some sweet wrappers... aha! Pokéball!
"I swear we better bloody get this blasted thing!" He tossed the ball as hard as he could at Articuno 2's head. He really did want to catch it, but he kind of hoped he hit the damn thing in the head hard, too.

Sync tried to shield his head with his free arm, though it did pitifully little against the onslaught of snow and hail. Forget his hoodie, he was starting to with he had a winter coat and warm boots to wear - especially a coat. Chunks of hail sliced through the bare skin on his arms and some did land on his head - briefly he wondered if he'd have cuts there later or just bruises - and for once he was quite glad of his height, as it meant less surface area for hail to land on. In any other situation, he would've outright laughed at how one of their own had electrocuted another Rocket's pokemon accidentally, but as he wasn't - that, and the pepper spray still coating his throat - prevented him from actually doing so.

He pulled out his 'dex when the others did and cursed internally when he read the message. What good could he do? Others were throwing pokeballs at it, and he-- he did have some, didn't he? Switching priorities, he abandoned covering his burning eye - missing how it wasn't too swollen to see out of anymore - and dropped the towel in favor of pulling an empty pokeball from his pocket. While they didn't have much time, he waited to see whether or not Clancy's ball had worked before tossing his own.

"Glit! Wring it out again!" Lex called out as his and three others balls bounced off it. His Serperior was still awake but he doubt she would manage to keep on her coils for long.

Glit shuddered, battered by the Blizzard and squeezed down again with a angry defiant SEEEE. She was not going to faint. Not now. She squeezed down using Wring out. At the very least she could keep it from flying off.

A chunk of hail sliced his cheek eliciting a curse from the red-haired rocket. "Not the face!" Raising an arm to try to shield himself a bit he threw his second and last Great Ball.

Despite the fact not many offending pokemon were left to attack it, those still conscious - coupled with the lingering effects of Curse - served to drain its dwindling energy even further. The bird sagged and stumbled to one side as its wing was pulled on, but managed one more Blizzard at the remaining Rockets and pokemon. Another frightened cry rang out from the young Articuno - this one a call for help - though it sounded much more tired than before.

The other young Articuno shrieked high overhead in response, its cries growing more frightened and anxious with each passing moment that their parent didn't answer their summons.

Spotting his moment Regent bounded a little further forward to use another Protect; he was cut up by Hail but still firmly on his paws and regarding the wounded Articuno with a predatory smirk. he purred.

And Glit fainted, her form limp on top of the bird. Lex recalled her,licking a trace of blood away, and tucked her poke ball securely with the others on his belt. "Who ever doesn't have any unusable Pokemon, get in the van and get it started. We are going to need a quick getaway."

"Spins, Night Shade it." He called, searching his bag and stuffing his make up in his pants pocket, and the last remaining poke ball in hand, before thrusting the pack at KO. "For Baron if he got his piece of meat." He called.

He was down to Spins, and probably solely for the spider keeping close and the use of protect and hopefully this worked.

Pokeball go. He threw it at the second Articuno.
