The Betman Lord of Armageddon The Betman Lord of Armageddon Got Mass Effect 2 just now. It's pretty good so far. Pros of so far: - Awesome beginning. - Jacob's far less annoying than Kaiden. - More accurate firefights. - Miranda, though she's not very trusting, is drop-dead sexy. - Customizing the apperance of your armor is pretty fun. - Grenade launcher (der B esplosions!!!) - Pretty interesting story. Cons so far: - Why do I need to reload my guns when in Mass Effect 1 they had infinite ammo (although they'd overheat if you fired them to long)? - It would not let me use my Mass Effect 1 save on the same Xbox profile, so I had to just simply start another game. I wanted the Citadel Council to still be alive, but I guess I never really liked those politicians anyway. - Some of the RPG elements of the last game seem to be missing so far. The reload system was just their way of making the combat feel tighter, and it does to me.
Also you need to find your farthest savestate in mass effect 1, finish the game again, then you can load. I like the council.
And what RPG elements are gone? They just streamlined it, imoSure, it does make the combat feel tighter and more challenging, but when you consider the fact that the futuristic guns of Mass Effect 1 had the modern technological convience of not having to reload, taking a step back from this seems...stupid. I guess that explains the problems I've been having with my ME 1 saves. Maybe I haven't played too far into it, but it just seems like a couple of RPG elements are missing, that's all. I can't put my finger on it, but maybe I just haven' played far enough. Well technically you aren't reloading, you're putting a new thermal clip on. The thermal clip absorbs the heat from the gun, as far as I can tell, and it's like the overheat system in ME1, just done differently.
-shrug- I leveled up, I put points into skills, I gained new abilities. That's RPG enough for me.I guess that makes sense. Anway, I'm not too far, I'm just on the colony after meeting The Invisible Man or whatever he's called. Abandoned so far, so I got nothing better to do than just look at Miranda. Don't spoil anything for me, I'm continuing.

Oh, I forgot another pro about ME 2.
So far, the AI of your allies are now no longer inclined to shoot mindlessly at a random wall and instead actually make themselves more useful in a fight.
@Betman: Yeah, too nationalist for my tastes.

Good news; I have TvsC and two Pika Pichus.
Bad news; my DSi's R button seems to be giving me trouble.

SCIENCE The science from the first game is that there was a hunk of metal inside of the gun, and the gun would automatically calculate distance and all that s**t, shave off a piece of that metal, and use a mass effect field to throw it forward.
I dunno how the guns specifically work in the new one, but the first one i was kinda like 'huh.'

Dude, I just found all of Cave Story's music on youtube.
...The extended versions. I'm listening to ten minutes of Moonsong.
Is this thread worthy I think it is. They have download links. Time to gather all the links.

No weird changes.

Or when you say "extended," do you mean there's parts of the game song that have been cut?
