Yikes. I've been researching college lately and am most certainly not looking forward to such financial issues. I'm terrible with saving money sweatdrop I do hope things even out a bit for you. Your life can't hate you that much...

Ah, things are looking better, I guess I just ran into a bit of bad karma or something, funny how things work sometimes.
My bill really isn't TOO bad, I haven't even had to take out any loans yet or anything, so luck is on my side so far with that.
My only problem is that I certainly wasn't expecting my bill to be as much as it was this semester, so I spent a little more on Christmas gifts than I would normally.
The college suddenly sprung and extra five hundred dollar cost on me because two of the girls that were on the roster for my room left, and they wouldn't let us replace them, it's really silly.
I've been pretty chill about it, all things considered, because I know lots of people would probably go and b***h at an employee for the problems or whatever, but I know it's not their fault, it's just the way the administration works.
It could certainly be worse, so I'm grateful that it wasn't, haha. ^^;
And music is so amazing~

I'm not eligible for very many, actually. ^^;
My merits are solely academic, unfortunately.
And since I get a lot from FAFSA/my mother and I have no real income to speak of, at least not taxable income, no one wants accept me as a candidate.
They like to take people who are likely to go on and give them lots of money back, but I'm a first generation college student and an arts major, to boot.
They don't figure I'm likely to give back, it's all rigged. .__.
I'm going to look into some more for next year, though, so thank you for the help, Tomei~
I've found a few offered by my university foundation, I just have to apply for them.
Here's hoping for another year without loans, hm? ^^;

I just look for the ones that don't ask for GPA and essays. xD

Yeah, there are some really weird scholarships out there. Then there are some really easy ones, like on Cappex they have this one where all you need to do is praise them with a comment on Facebook. Doubt I'll get it, but...

I have to avoid the essay ones, but it's because I'd write too much.
Most of them are something like one hundred words or less is all they'll accept, and I know I'd easily overshoot many of them by about 200-400 words.
Frustrating~
I stalk ones based on GPA and/or financial need, though.
Those are pretty much the only ones I'm eligible for since I don't play sports and have no community involvement to speak of. o__o
