Eziekiel took her hands and closed his eyes, "what are you doing Ezzy?" His lips moved, but he spoke nothing. Stocky blue fingers traced Aleta's slender palms, "Ezieiel?" Her bother opened his eyes, and looked at her hands. "Yes, the time has come..." He looked at Aleta's face. "Time for what?"
"Aleta, have things happening to you that you can't explain? Your powers... they're a lot stronger than I remember." She nodded "You know how I was able to control light with the aid of magic before, right? Well, now I can't control it at all! Its over powering me! I had to leave my friend because I don't know what it would do to him, then I started running really fast, and I could sense things that nobody else could, and-"
"Woah! Slow down! I see Aleta. How old are you now? Almost 16? You're approaching adulthood sister." He smiled. "And you're growing up nicely! You see, when Dark Elves reach physical maturity, mostly thier senses get sharper, but you're different. You have abilities that no one of our kind has. The light that eminates from you is a result of an element being embeded inot your soul itself. You were probably a fire elemental in a past life, so that element will forever be a part of you soul. You're also a bit of a 'chosen one'." Aleta;s eyes opened wide.
"And as our people are usually commited to the Dark Ways, except for our family, being able to have a power such as that is tremendous!" Aleta leaned back, putting her wieght on her palms. "Yeah. More like pointless. The only thing its good for is lighting up rooms and killing-" she sat straight up, "Its good for slaying demons! Of course!" She remembered the many times she made Sentiel's minions burn, and shriek and howl, and she reveled in the memory, even though she knew she shouldn't.
"You probably can guess what I'm goign to say by the look on your face." He studied her for a moment.
"Yeah, I'm a chosen one of some sort right?" Aleta cast her eyes downward, and she becae very serious. "What do I have to do, brother? Am I to free you, or something?"
"No, although freedom would be nice. You see, The Valleresso Clan is after it, and we can't do anything about it. All we do is stand around and tell our living realatives to take care of it for us." he laughed a little, and Aleta was still serious. he stoped laughing. "Sorry. That wasn't funny, was it? Aleta, you have to find the box. It holds things you can't imagine, like the word's most powerful demons and monsters, and the souls of the most dangerous and deranged warlords the world has ever known. Aleta---the box needs to be destroyed, and the darkness cast into Hell. Do you think you can do that?"
