I don't think my idea of humor, which involves saying dumb things in an even more dead serious voice than the rest of what I say really translates to the written word.
Deadpan only works when it has a delivery system... Where the reader realizes without question that whatever they read will be incorrect.
Some of you may suggest I use your Assy lower case, but in reality you kiddies just use lower case as a way to say insensitive things to each other and shrug it off as JUST A JOKE LOL.

"WHAT?"
"LOWER CASE LOL NOOB"
"Oh, okay."
"you should really go to the gym though"
"Ahahaha"
"Oh, sorry, You*"

[Kegan] Some of you may suggest I use your Assy lower case, but in reality you kiddies just use lower case as a way to say insensitive things to each other and shrug it off as JUST A JOKE LOL. well how about you go invent the personal emotion feed for standard TCP/IP then you jurk OH RIGHT YOU CANT STOP BITCHING Lowercase, caps and other forms of grammar violation are the only ways aviable right now to express something at least similiar to what you describe as "saying dumb things in an even more dead serious voice than the rest of what I say". A more emotional way to communicate over the internet that I've grown pretty fond of is the addition of a picture relevant to the situation.  Captions are optional.
