As Cecilia approached Aeon she smiled. Aiden began to giggle with excitement as they faced the entrance. "It seems that the little guy is very excited" she said with a smile. Aeon then pushed the stroller as she came to the ticket booth. "Two adults and one child" she said. The ticketholder gave her the tickets in exchange for the money and they were permitted in.
Pushing the stroller she looked at Cecilia. "I don't know what exhibit we should go to first. Maybe the birds or the aquarium, what do you think" she asked her sapphire friend. Grabbing one of the brochures she handed it to Cecilia so she could go through it and decide where they would be going.
When he said that he needed her support, Jeannie sighed. This was all she wanted to hear. She wouldnt be too forward she would let Lucien make the first move. "So what's next on the agenda Lucien. I feel so useless as of right now. I mean I feel like I should be doing something. You already know what you're going to do but I have no idea what I'm doing and that honestly bothers me" she admitted her vulnerability. She was ready to move out and actually make a difference, that...and bring her plan into fruitation on what she envisioned for the world.

Cecilia ruffled Aiden's hair earning a small delightful giggle from the adorable little Owl before she waited for Aeon to purchase the tickets. Like many others, the ticket holder stared at the sapphire female in surprise, his eyes even following her after she went through the gates. As she looked at the brochure, a small boy passed her, holding his mother's hand. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw him point and say in a rather excited tone, "Look Mommy! Look at the smurf! Can I get her autograph? Can I? Can I? Can I?" The woman seemed to recognize Cecilia for what she was for she pulled the boy away roughly. "No! Now come on, I'll buy you an ice cream cone," she hissed glaring Cecilia's way as she pulled her son along. Cecilia rolled her eyes unaffected by this for it was something she was forced to endure everywhere. "We should go to the aquarium first," she said as if nothing had happened.

((TFP---Raven))
For the past few hours Raven and her small army of Owls had been steadily making progress. Like most obstacles the battle to claim Massachusetts was not going to be overcome in one day. Already Raven’s forces had caught wind of possible UNS soldiers in town aiding in the battle. Good. Raven was finding the average person’s attempts at fighting rather dull and boring. The blonde female was currently going through some maps and locations with two Exirian Generals, deciding tactics and back up plans should something go amiss in this next big step. Already they had claimed a few main roads that lead in and out of Massachusetts as well as the simple fact that they had now breached the surrounding border. All that remained was in main assault that Raven was confident about winning.
Once the plans had been finalised Raven issued out a few instructions to the troops and watched with a small smile as they began to gather up their belongings. She was hoping that they will be able to set up a fresh base camp after this next push. Supplies in the food, drinks and medical department were still more than enough to sustain the Owls needs for at least 3 more days. In the rare moment that Raven had time to herself she spent it simply gazing into space thinking about her next moves and quite often her thoughts would return to her other team members. She had been separated from nearly all of them for a quite a while now and she wondered how they were coping now that Exire had grown in size and number. Although she was pleased by this progress…she couldn’t help but reminisce about the old days… the very beginning of The Fallen Phoenix. It seemed like an age had passed by since that time. It had been a struggle…Raven had gained many family members since that time…And those who had been lost along the way had never been absent in her mind. In their memory she will continue to strive for power…
((TFP---Serena))
With the help of some very kind men, Serena had managed to be rid of her ruined sofa and already had a new one in place. “No ripping this one apart, Cerbs…” The white haired woman spoke out loud for the three headed dog to hear. She had not actually seen Cerbs yet but the steak she had put down for him had already vanished. While she was tempted to call the dog to her and apologise for her earlier anger towards him, she thought it best to let him be and perhaps he might just learn from this. Serena picked up her phone and scanned it for any new messages. Just the odd few about jobs and even a random message from Daryle saying nothing of much use..Leading to Serena saying “Idiot” Taking in a short breath Serena typed out a message to the Frozen Owl inviting him round for some ‘hearty home cooked food’ While waiting for a reply, Serena opted to play the piano that she had ‘obtained’ by some means of persuasion and charm. As she began playing a soothing melody she began to think back over the last few months. Kojiro had changed so much since their first meeting. While she was in some ways proud of his more confident ways of fighting…she couldn’t help but think that she had tainted him in many ways. When this was all over…where would he be? While at times her thoughts drifted to darker passage ways of her mind, she refused to believe that he would end up among the dead. The Vanishing Owl would never forgive herself should he die because of her whispering words. It was only too easy these days to find her loyalty split between Kojiro and Will. She often found herself feeling frustrated by the whole situation. She found Raven’s plans and dream rather stupid and couldn’t give a damn if the crazy blonde woman dropped dead before her. The only one in this damned city that she cared about was Kojiro anyone else…was not of her concern.
And as usual, Serena found herself messing up the notes of the song as she allowed her anger to leak through her fingertips. She stopped playing and rubbed her hands together slowly. “Ah…I wonder if I will always taint the things I touch…” Laughing at this little thought, she began playing once again from the top; her silver eyes staring straight ahead like they were made of glass. “It is their own fault for being weak enough to allow their selves to become tainted...Although, I wonder what would happen to everyone…if I were to simply vanish…”
((UNS---Daryle))
While Daryle had already made the assumption that the woman before him was an Owl…he would have never guessed that she was in fact a Herald. The blonde males green eyes widened slightly before he hid his surprise under a smile “Oh? Well, I should think a being a Herald counts. After all, you were born an Owl, correct? You simply gained the title later on in life.” He watched with a bemused grin when his little tornado became a twisting inferno and allowed it to remain a few more minutes before placing an empty glass over it…suffocating the fire. “Ah well, I can say the same about fire not being a strong point of mine. It can feed of the air after all..” The Breezy Owl laughed somewhat before bringing his drink to his lips. Almost instantly he could smell the alcohol that had tainted his soft drink. However, he still proceeded to drain the glass as his eyes stared into Embers. From her little power display, it was very clear that she was none other than the fire Herald.
Most people may have reacted in fear at the fact that they were sharing a table with a powerful being such as a Herald. But Daryle merely continued to treat Ember like she was just your average red haired woman. “Sleeping on the beach? Oh well…that will not do at all..” Daryle said as he waved over someone to take his order for another round of drinks. This time he spared having to beat around the bush by ordering a glass of whiskey for himself and whatever it was that Ember was drinking. “Well, you will need to understand the basics of Japanese to get by in this town. If you are looking for a more tourist friendly place you will probably be better off in Tokyo. But getting there may prove difficult…hmmm…” He grinned widely and quite suddenly before declaring…“How about I find you a place to stay for however long it is you are in town?…That actually brings me to my next line of questions…”
The dark liquid swirled as Daryle twisted the glass around on the table. “Why are you here in Japan? I mean, you seemed rather lost when I bumped into you…Not only that, I thought the Heralds were working closely with The Fallen Phoenix’s. Yet here you are, lost in translation you could say..” The Breezy Owl was so far still in control of his thoughts and actions…his low tolerance for alcohol was already playing in his blood stream which often lead to bad results… “Well. I suppose you are not here sightseeing. However…if you are I highly suggest you check out the outdoor hot springs. Marvellous customer service and the food they serve there is simply mouth-watering.” The fact that Daryle was having a semi normal conversation with a Herald made him laugh. But the fact that he was dropping his guard and drinking was a whole other story. “Oh…And there is no need to add alcohol to my drinks. I will be gracious company and share a few more drinks with you.” He winked playfully as he drained his glass and placed it back down on the table. Ah~ Hits the spot every time…” It was now up to Daryle to keep control...and that was no easy feat.

((NPCs - The Balderon Siblings - Dais, Annie, Kyne))
~~~Flashback~~~~
Kyne Balderon, CEO of V.I.E., slowly tied on his eyepatch, which was used only in battle or military operations. Momentarily, he sighed and raised the comm link to his mouth and once again seemingly revisited his prior position as a Navy Seals black ops team leader. “Alpha to Zeta. Delta will provide cover. Everyone else, get going.” He nodded to his older brother Dais, who was better known as the G.O.D. of assassins, and then spoke into the comm link again, directed toward his sister, Annie the Seeker Owl. She would be able to find a way to evacuate people in the chaos. “Annie, you’re in charge of evacuation. Stay calm. Dais, you’re in charge of securing an escape route. I’ll back you up as defense. I’d like to keep casualties on either side to a minimum. No killing unless absolutely necessary, Dais.” Kyne’s older brother said nothing as he … unsheathed a sword? Kyne raised an eyebrow. “Dais, you’re not seriously going to fight guns and Owls with that, are you?” When Dais didn’t reply, the orange haired CEO shook his head and sighed. “Right. Superman. Whatever floats your boat, Dais.”
~~~~~End Flashback~~~~~
That had been about a month ago. Some of V.I.E.'s warehouses and offices had been in the Northeastern region of the U.S., which was now under the control of the Fallen Phoenix. That confrontation a month ago had been at one of the company's locations closer to the midAtlantic region. Kyne had been visiting to check the status and issue more safety protocols. Annie had tagged along despite Kyne's attempts to keep her still. To their surprise, their elder brother Dais had turned up as well to help.
There were still some people who were trapped in the areas, and while they were hidden, if they didn't get out soon, they would definitely be found. V.I.E.'s employees were many, and for the most part, Owls and humans got along fine. That wasn't the case for all employees though. It was human/Owl nature. Kyne and the company had set escape protocols to get those people out. (There were some that wanted to stay in the region though, so Kyne let them. They were good to find out news on the happenings. However, there were still some others that ditched the company too for their own interests.)
"I want to go ouuuut!" Annie sighed loudly as she stretched and leaned away from her computer in the room.
"No." was the simple response from Kyne.
The emoticon inside Annie's mind was " stressed "
Given that V.I.E. began as a weapons establishment and then expanded into other consumer areas, the weapons sector of V.I.E. is still a big part of business, and there are often many former military members in the ranks of the employees. Luckily, many of the test sites were out west. Kyne was currently with Annie at a testing facility in Nevada. He had been "tortured" with Annie's random stories about her adventures, but being the mature polite understanding brother that he was, he listened. What the hell as she been doing? He nodded almost too slowly as she mentioned that Daryle Saxton had been present. The CEO knew too well about Daryle's nature. I should have expected such ..behavior after seeing who dropped her off... Those two... Annie and Daryle... were formidable in their own way when they got together. Internally, he facepalmed when Annie spoke about the "singing" competition in Italy and showed a picture of Daryle falling off the stage. He could picture even without being there how everyone else was reacting. He only facepalmed more when Annie mentioned that Daryle said a microphone had knocked them out. Nevertheless, he had to admit Daryle did save Annie from what she said about the collapsing hotel....even if he intended on flying off like a rocketman trying to be a flight attendant.
"So....Do you know who was involved in Italy? Was a certain family member there? A grey eyed one..." Kyne had tried to ask.
His sister, Annabelle, tapped her chin and then shook her head. "Well, it was just that radio broadcast from Raven. Other than that, nope, but Daryle was!"
No crap. The broadcast had been all over the news. He had also just heard from Annie about the singing contest and the flight attendant ruse. Annie must not have known Will was present then. Convenient. Annie probably knew the least about Will between the Balderon siblings. "Do you want some juice? I'll go grab some from the fridge." The orange haired man sighed and then walked out of the room. He felt a light thud in the hallway. "Hi, Dais. You know what she's go---" Kyne never got a chance to finish.
"Oooh! Dais! Let's all go karoake! We haven't done it for ages!" Dais had been sensed by Annie, and the girl charged out of the room into the hallway.
...and now, CEO Kyne surmised that Annie was either trying to find an excuse to get out or really go karoaking. What kind of weapons testing facility had karoake? In fact, because it was a testing facility, there wasn't anything around for miles! Besides, Will and Kyne (and Daryle since Daryle briefed Kyne) had come to an understanding not to allow Annie out because ---boy, could she travel! She never stayed in one place too long because of charity business. She always had to be out helping people!
The eldest Balderon was silent to Annie's request. "..." Dais was a terrible singer. He was as off key as you could get, even if he was good at drums and coordination.
"Fine! FAMILY PHOTO! We haven't taken THAT in ages either! Where's Uncle Will? I only have three pictures of him!" Three was more than probably anyone in the world except for Will, Noel, and maaaaaybe Che and Dante.
... William DeScythe had planned ahead, and the Balderons would move according to his plans, whether they knew it or not. They had no idea he was in Vegas.

Ember could tell Daryle knew about the extra alcohol in his drink but smiled when he continued to drink it. "i really couldn't tell you how i got here, i was with Tim out in New York, or Exwire whatever they call it, i want to say a few days ago, just as a large malita of humans had attacked, i remember having some fun, getting hit by something in the back and that is about it" she said and sipped her drink again watching with a small smile as Daryle ordered himself some more drinks, she could drink alone, but this kid was somewhat interesting enough to wonder how he acted intoxicated. she sipped another glass and hummed slightly as she thought about recent events, "I woke up... in a tank of sorts, full of some liquid, i don't know what was going on, but i hate being in water so i freaked, destroyed several things and found my way here... some how, i did have a hard time controlling the fire when i woke," Ember had learned long ago not to question what ever happened to her, she was an alcoholic, stuff like that happened all the time. "Ive learned to deal with stuff like this, I actually wasn't a fire wielder when i became a herald, I don't even think i was an owl, it sure is an interesting world we live in" she watched thier surrounding company as Daryle talked on and noticed how comfortable the people around here were despite the show of power Daryle had brought up, They seemed to accept the fact that some people were different and didn't care. it would be nice if this was how the world worked everywhere she thought Timothy's plan to be rather over the top, for once, after being sober for over three months Ember realized she did not like the way things were headed.
"mm? oh spa? ah i don't know if i told you, but Im not a fan of water" she smiled a little and tilted her head to the side as she watched daryle, "you okay, you look like your are buzzed already" she asked with a small smile, entertainment was one thing Ember found hard to get. "actually id just like to see what it is that Japanese do for fun, Party? i haven't been to a good party in a long time although you dont look like the kind of person to party hard, i might as well enjoy myself while im stuck here right?"

(TFS - Serilda) Taking a careful stroll through the forests outer layer, she began to move slightly, around taking precautions as she started to get static from her radio set. "Well their goes my support." as Serilda started to take forms in her left hand she gripped tightly upon a Swiss army knife while twiddling it around to pass the time. "It's getting to quiet." as she began to move a bit further through while crouching she began to move in while covering her face from the branches below, "Hm... I don't see anyone?" as she peeked out while widening the branches to take a one eye peek through the pine that was creating a cover for her, she started to stop twiddling and began to whip it back into a knife as she moved in slowly. "Hm this feels like that game metal gear solid a bit." as she would give a small smirk on her right cheek. She felt a soft wind flying by as she could see her hair strands flying in front and slowly gently going back to a stillness. Gently backing away she began to hold her hands out after dissipating the Swiss Army knife from her left hand, she began to make a CheyTac Intervention, waiting on to set position she began to lay down on her chest to flip the stand for the CheyTac, and began to place herself in a firing position, but staying she used the scope to scout the perimeters first before taking action. "Alright, safety off check, now to wait."

Che's cards had already been laid out when he decided that his hand would suffice. He hadn't broken the rules using his powers or anything of the sort, but what he had may have lead one to believe that he did. The only thing that one needed to know was that it wasn't a royal flush, the best hand one could have in the game of poker. Once more, his violet eyes met those of the weary dealer. Che couldn't tell if the middle-aged man was tired, or tired of losing. His expression seemed to announce his lose or his expectation to lose. He was playing against himself and Kate after all and if Che wasn't a sport, he would've tried to alter his hand as well as everyone at the table.
"If you know that I love you Kate, then you can believe me when I say---" Kate wasn't a fan of ambiguity it seemed, nor was she a fan of the subliminal. The Italian's heartfelt, but not-so-emotion words was his promise to her that he wouldn't tamper with the game they were both involved. That is, unless he got bored which even he was surprised he hadn't yet. But, when Kate replied at first with seriousness, then...whatever it was that she decided to do, Che seemed to freeze. It wasn't often that Kate smiled that way. The elder Owl admitted with a nod and a grin that he was somewhat surprised and if that wasn't enough to give away his now enamored state then the light red blush that appeared across his cheeks and the single strand of hair that shot up and remained like a slender, black obelisk atop his head loudly telegraphed it. Keeping his eyes off of the woman for now, Che bent the corners of his cards to scope once again what they were. While doing so, he murmured over to her, "Just play the game....no more talking...."

Nicko1421 ((Solaris, just ignore my last post, this one will make more sense)) With their team now for the most part assembled, Jeannie, the telepath whose epsychic powers rivaled that of the greatest in the world, Sibal whose unshakeable resolve and body immune to all normal owl nullification fields, Moli the Light Herald whose powers and perfect control over the photonic spectrum saught out his attention, and Lucien the Death Owl. The four of them had formed a team that were strong enough to combat even the most powerful of groups. "It's not what we've done in these past two months that counts, these were recuperating and calculating months, nothing more. The world is in shambles, war abundant, and endless catacstrophies litter this world. Action isn't always needed. Sometimes it's the calm periods that can say the most for these situations." He said as he took a seat, their group resides within a small coastal side home which Lucien had purchased before the series of events, his annoying habit of planning ahead had proven to be beneficial afterall. He took a seat, looking out onto the horizon. He stared off, his gaze as focused as ever. "We'll be able to move out soon, with the times we're in we'll have to mobilize shortly." He said softly. The death owl had become more true to his station lately, he felt an odd ebb and flow with the world around him, the phantoms of the dead that wisped in and out of the world seemed to almost be visible to him, but still they were beyond his gaze, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. As he turned towards Moli he asked. "So what made you change your mind? was it truly out of necessity, or was there some alternative that lead you to what I'm sure you consider a rather distastful arrangement?"(Sorry for the delay) The eldest son of Che Presidiomni had opted to stand no matter where he went every since he decided to join into Lucien's group. Even now, he remained standing as Lucien spoke to him. This guy....he already knew why he was here. So why did he need to ask? Even the pre-Herald knew that if he was to survive in this man's group, then there would need to be some sort of calmness between the two....to hell with that. Until the blonde was reunited with his real friends and his real family, he'd continue to feel out of place here. "You f*****t, you know why I'm here. I came here to keep from being killed. There are people out here in the states that are hunting you and I. Necessity? Maybe. If that's what you want to call it. I'm here to be safe. You were the closest team so...yeah." replied Moli with an explanation for all of this. Looking away again, he listened to the exchange between Jeannie and Lucien, chuckling somewhat as they spoke. The blonde photokinetic rolled his soft blue eyes when Jeannie spoke. Whether or not she was telling the truth, it wasn't hard to tell that she was there solely for him. And by this, he meant she wanted him and wanted Amara out of the picture. Moli was sure that Death knew this. After all, he was the smartest here was he not? "I'm going to go smoke alright? When you two get tired of standing around, come let me know."

"What we're doing is waiting. I am waiting for someone to arrive. I have a...feeling that we won't be waiting much longer. For now enjoy the down time." He said to Jeannie. He turned his head, listening to the animosity steaming from Moli. He didn't blame him for the hostility they weren't on the greatest of terms, he knew their connection was strained at best but he was glad that Moli could for now at least put aside his anger to help. "I see. Whatever the reason I suppose I can't blame you with everything that has happened I'm amazed that you're here." He watched Moli walk away, he personally didn't smoke but now he guessed it didn't matter, so long as he wasn't stabbed in the heart, or had his head cut off he most likely wouldn't die. Without looking to Sibal he said. "Sibal, keep me informed on all world updates, I want to make sure nothing out of the ordinary happens. Also keep a live feed on the White House, there is something I want to double check shortly."

((UNS---Daryle))
Daryle listened intently as Ember began to explain what it was she could remember before she woke up in Japan. “Hit in the back by something….” He leaned on one hand and allowed her to continue speaking. He was already pretty sure that it had been more than a couple of days since that incident…from what he could gather she was going on about the huge battle that went down in Exire a few months ago… “Well now, it seems as though you have been on quite the adventure Ember! I am almost envious! All I seem to be doing is breezing around and doing crowd control more than fighting, which suits me because I am not one to enjoy needless bloodshed. Still, crowd control is boring..” The blonde male gave the Fire Herald a goofy grin and even laughed when she spoke about never being a fire wielder before becoming a Herald. “Not even an Owl you say? Is that even possible? Ooo I would have to say that this world is interesting…I bet you have lived a long long life and could tell me many wonderful tales. Of course, I doubt we would have enough time for such a thing. Hehehe..” The Breezy Owl waved over the waiter who by now knew what drinks to bring. The small Japanese waiter nodded and headed off to fetch the drinks.
“Oh right right…what with being so heat orientated I suppose water is a natural enemy. But! The hot springs is more like a giant bathhouse….well…that pretty much sums it up really…” Daryle paused in mild confusion at his own choice of words but was quick to open his mouth and speak once again. “Am I ok? Of course I am! You should ask yourself that…wait…that does not make sense…hmmm…I should ask you the same thing! Aha! Got there in the end…” While Daryle was acting….Daryle like…it was only a matter of time before his little mask slipped and his more..serious side came out to play. “I don’t?” A smirk pulled at the corner of Daryle’s lips as he leaned forwards and simply muttered “How hard a party do you enjoy the most? A simple sing song? A night dancing away in some hot nightclub? Or are you the type who enjoys getting into fights? Orperhaps you like that occasional steamy encounter with a stranger….I myself enjoy….Well, that does not matter.” He laughed and leaned back into his chair. “Tell me what you want to do and I will see if it is within my capabilities. Your stay in Japan should be memorable correct?”

Aeon grabbed the brochure and began to proceed. She had heard the remarks of the children, it made her sad to know that people were so ignorant. She just hoped that it would be better for Aiden as he grew up. They then walked into the beginning exhibit for the marine life. Stopping at a tank, Aeon saw a colorful fish. She looked around to see if she could figure out what kind of fish it was.
"Oh okay here's the information" Aeon said before she begin to read. "The Zambezi yellowfish, Labeobarbus codringtonii, is commonly found throughout the Zambezi and Okavango Rivers in Southern Africa. They prefer fast flowing water over cobble and rocky bottoms where they predominantly feed on aquatic insects and crustaceans. Their exaggerated fins help them manoeuvre in the fast water and they are powerful swimmers. The Zambezi yellowfish is highly sought after by sport anglers and fly fishing is the preferred method of catching them." she read out loud. "That's interesting" she said. "Do you like the fish Aiden??? she asked. The infant was silent as it stared in amazement at the fish swimming.Jeannie listened to what Moli had to say and then Lucien. "Okay, well I guess I'll just do some training and conditioning...well of my mind because I'm dressed far to nice to try and fight anyone" she said to him with a faint smile ((Sorry for the short post from Jeannie))

Cecilia proceeded into the aquarium exhibit, which was the home of many tropical salt water fish and even a few sharks. She found herself stopped and looking at a fish known as the Regal Tang or the Paracanthrus hepatus, which was the scientific name for this blue fish. Looking down at the small plaque, she read the small blurb, which had been engraved into it. Paracanthurus hepatus is a species of Indo-Pacific surgeonfish. A popular fish in marine aquaria, it is the only member of the genus Paracanthurus.] A number of common names are attributed to the species, including regal tang, palette surgeonfish, blue tang (leading to confusion with the Atlantic Acanthurus coeruleus), royal blue tang, hippo tang, flagtail surgeonfish, pacific regal blue tang and blue surgeonfish. As a juvenile, its diet consists primarily of plankton. Adults are omnivorous and feed on plankton, but will also graze on algae. Spawning occurs during late afternoon and evening hours. This event is indicated by a change in color from a uniform dark blue to a pale blue. Males aggressively court female members of the school, leading to a quick upward spawning rush toward the surface of the water during which eggs and sperm are released. The eggs are small, approximately 0.8 mm in diameter. The eggs are Pelagic, each containing a single droplet of oil for flotation. The fertilized eggs hatch in twenty-four hours, revealing small, translucent larvae with silvery abdomens and rudimentary caudal spines. Blue tangs can also, when faced with danger or dark spaces, make themselves semi-transparent, in order to help with evasion and light passivity, respectively.
Cecilia turned her head to look at Aiden who was giggling as he waved his tiny hands at the many colorful fish. She sat down on a small bench , placed near one of the aquariums and stared at the aunt and nephew. Would this war end soon, or would Aiden be forced to endure it as well once he grew older? Would he be forced to witness the pain and suffering of Owls and humans alike? What's more, would he ever know his father who most likely didn't know that he existed, and would he ever see his mother again who had disappeared without a trace? Or would he never have the chance to know them? She knew of many children, both Owl and Human who had never set eyes on their parents. Aiden was still very young, but Cecilia sometimes wondered if he dreamed of his mother who had only held him for a brief moment, did he see her face? Or had he forgotten her? Cecilia stood from the bench and walked over to another large aquarium, which was host to a few species of sharks. Yet she was so deep in thought that it was as if she wasn't really looking at them at all.

Roulin and Bailey, his new annoyance turned student, had exited the small restaurant. The long haired young man was full thanks to his breakfast and his coffee. Mostly, it was his coffee that gave him the satisfying sensation of being full. Sighing in relaxation, he looked over his shoulder at the little restaurant that was dwindling on the horizon. For the waitress, who probably only wore her smile because it was seen as attractive to both customers and higher ups, received a nice tip for her troubles. As a man that still didn't like to be served by someone else, Roulin made sure to leave something nice for the girl. With Bailey by his side now, it was time to continue the trip to their current residence.
"Hey Bailey. Do you even like where we stay? It's filled with roaches and things you know?" asked Roulin as he strolled forward toying with the lint that lined his coat pockets. "I can buy us a better place to stay. If I do though, food might not be as easy to attain. More than half of what I have will go to something nice for the three of us."

Bailey followed Roulin out of the restaurant and walked alongside him down the busy sidewalk, which was bustling with activity; normal everyday New Orleans life. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her jacket, shielding them from the cold December air. Christmas was just around the corner, yet Bailey had a feeling that they wouldn't be celebrating it. Then again, she hadn't celebrated many holidays for many years. Instead, her mind was upon the task that lay ahead that she almost didn't hear Roulin's question. "If you want to obtain a better place for us to stay, you can. Of course I'm used to staying in much worse places than that motel so I don't really care. The orhanage, or foster home that I stayed in as a child wasn't exactly the ritz either," she said casually as if this was a normal everyday conversation. Deciding to change the subject, she found herself glancing at the long raven tresses atop Roulin's head. "So are you going to keep your hair long like that or cut it?" she asked out of mere curiosity. What he chose to do with his appearance was up to him. If he wanted to shave himself bald, then he was free to do it. If he wanted dreads, more power to him. "Oh and I know a place where we can go. There is an area of Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans that is quite secluded. Hardly anyone goes there anymore since Hurricane Katrina a few years back," she suggested.

As she leaned back to her seat, Kate noticed Che's reaction to what she had just said and did. She resisted the urge to give a smirk of satisfaction at embarrassing Che for once. Instead, Kate went back to that bored expression from earlier and leaned an elbow on the table, and supported her chin in that manner. It was only due to years of her stoic and depressed mannerisms that she accomplished that tiny goal of remaining neutral. "You look like a character from some American film, Che, with your new hairdo..." she commented, trying to poke fun at Che for his embarrassment. She could not remember the name of the silly movie was, but hopefully Che would know what she was referring to.
Looking back at her cards, Kate gave a small sigh. Whether it was out of impatience or boredom, one wouldn't be able to tell. Only after taking another peek at his cards did Che finally turn them over. "A pair of twos..." Kate remarked in a flat tone. It was the worst hand in the game. When Che was done showing off his lousy hand, Kate rolled her eyes a tiny bit. Now that everyone else had finished revealing their hands, Kate paused for a split second before speaking once more. "It think this shall be my last hand." Kate stated in a dismissive tone, adding on another sigh. Her face appeared almost sad and kind of annoyed while she fanned out her cards over the table. The hand Kate played was a high one: four of a kind with queens. Ignoring the sighs of frustration and exasperation from those around the table, Kate stood up from her seat. "Shall we go Che?" Kate asked in a rather bored tone.

Damn those voices! After her small borderline argument with Nikolai, Anya had retreated to her room to avoiding actually yelling at him. Once there, the door was slammed shut and out of habit, Anya locked it too. She knew it was a silly thing to do because Nik could just use shadows to get himself inside the locked room anyway. But hopefully, he could take enough of a hint to leave her alone right now instead of coming to try and talk things over. Those voices were jabbering away. Some wondering what had happened and why she was angry. Some saying random things or singing. But it was definitely a chaotic cacophony of voices in her head, and that was giving her a growing headache. Without really thinking of the consequences, Anya's fist swung forward to punch the wooden door of her room a couple f times. It hurt like hell after wards and her knuckles were bruised and bleeding a bit from it, but Anya didn't care. Letting out a growl of frustration, Anya couldn't help but shout out. "Ugh! Just shut the f*** up already!" Of course, she was talking to those annoying badgering in her head, but no one else could hear them. As such, Nik or Elle might hear her yelling or something. Anya didn't really care that much at the moment. She just wanted some peace and quiet.

After a while of watching the funeral, Erin could no longer stand to watch. She turned away from the graveyard and started walking. She didn't really have any place in particular that she had to go now. As such, the only place she really could go to was back to the motel where she, Bailey, and Roulin had been staying. True, it was rat and roach infested, but Erin didn't mind it too much. There were only a few other places Erin ever actually went. Most of them were either deserted or barely populated at all. It was these places where she had been training her abilities. Mostly her psychic ones, but she did do some of her blood manipulation as well. Granted, she hated using those abilities now since what happened in Rome, but she used them like she had used them before that incident just to make sure she didn't forget how to use them. It wasn't that she was afraid to use the blood manipulation, Erin just didn't like using them as much anymore because of what she had done. Though, in the back of her mind, Erin knew that she might just have to use that portion of her power in the future. Didn't mean she had to like it though.
Letting out a long sigh, Erin continued walking down the street. She was wearing her sunglasses again to cover her eyes from prying tourists and other people. Besides, she didn't want to attract too much attention to the fact that she was an Owl. The United States was in a state of turmoil, no thanks to the ever expanding New Exire, so most humans hated Owls or were afraid of them. As she was walking through the streets, Erin looked down at the ground instead of up at anyone walking by her. Her mod wasn't all that great. Or maybe it would be better to say that Erin had never been in a good mood since leaving Rome.
