She snickered at the comments he'd listed of her. Amentet is no trouble maker, the young Sir should be more careful whom he lets into his chambers. She gave the closest thing to a smile a dragon could give. But it seem to have made the point.
Clawing about in his hair, Amentet circled herself before laying down on his locks, blowing out a steam of stress that appeared over his head as a cloud of red smoke. Just as she thought, the void inside him was perfect to feed off her more carnal nature, it would provid a great escape for her, at least until the Mistress found her.
Amentet mentally shook from the thought, it would not be pretty.
"I am here to feed off your aura. It is quite nice, Amentet does not feel the need to go bitting the guest as she once did." She singsonged in his mind. "What is the young Sir doing?" She asked, as if the thought had just accured to her that they were not alone.

Aven smiled as she watched the small creature land on his head. "Nice to meet you Amentet." she giggled slightly as she bowed her head. She lifted a hand to Amentet and cautiously stroked the top of her head. "Oh, I bet you aren't as bad as Nicholas is saying." she said with a smile.

Nicholas tried to look up on Amentet as she clinged on his head while they walked around the halls. To some, it might be odd to have a ancient lizard dangling from ones hair, but on Nicholas' case, he didn't mind. What did get his attention however, was the feeding comment. "Feed on my aura? Why mine?" His was not the cleanest, or tastiest for that matter. His was tainted, blood-soaked, and coated with the endless cries of the damned. But beyond the demonic air lies a small spec of light. The heart of a human. "Me? You could say I'm just wandering aimlessly. You think your mistress would mind us lurking these unexplored halls?" Nicholas gave a small pout on Aven's comment. "Hey, I'll have you know that this dragonling is the cause of all that.. uh.. fuzz in my room."

Aven grinned and looked up at Amentet, "I bet you didn't mean to cause THAT much trouble did you?" she said with a wink.
And as for you Nicholas, why didn't you run from us? Surely someone like you could have overpowered us, even in the state we were in." she teased as she moved to face him and walk backwards, skipping slightly. She was starting to feel more at ease around him.

A light blush on Nicholas' cheek showed his embarassment towards Aven's words. True, he should have been able to counter such a problem. To him it was a sign of weakness. But it wasn't in his nature to harm anyone who poses no threat to him, especially ladies. Looking at Aven's grin made Nicholas look away while scratching his cheek. "I was.. caught off guard. I was bitten too mind you. Sneaky lil lizard.." He then cleared his throat and tried to regain his posture. "B-but for sure, this incident won't happen to me again."

Avens smirk was still there as she responded, "Oh..you mean no one could ever catch you off guard again? At all? Hmm.... just to prove you wrong..."
She stopped suddenly, causing Nicholas to bump into her, she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, then stepped back slightly. "Now, I can probably guess, you weren't expecting that at all." she finished with a smile, and went to turn around again to continue walking.

Nicholas was both shocked and a bit annoyed at what Aven just did. Another move he did not anticipate. "Oi! You're just messing with me now." He sighed at her and continued onwards down the hall. "You're really strange you know that?" He said with a small smile. For the remainder of the walk, Nicholas stared at the vast windows that bathe the halls in moonlight.

"Yes I'm strange, but the fact that you have let me follow you around for a while tells me that you might not mind it that much." She said with a smile as she continued walking. Because let's face it, if you were REALLY annoyed with me, you would have told me to leave by now." she laughed slightly and stuck her tongue out.

Nicholas shook his head. I hate it when she's right. He simply scratched his head and walked in a faster pace than Aven. "Weirdo." Eventually the two and the dragon were in a large spiral staircase. Nicholas took a few steps up to check the floor above. "I don't see anyone up here." He signaled Aven to follow. Upstairs were doors far larger than the ones on the sleeping chambers. The walls had enormous paintings hanging from them, paintings of which only one they all recognized. "Lady San.." The others were faces of people they aren't familiar with. "Hey Amentet, who are the other people in these paintings?" On the corner of each portrait and wallpaper was a date almost a millenium ago.

Scanda and Xenya carried Zenas body up the stairs walking past some people hoping they wouldn't focus too much "She isnt dead" Xenya kept saying to himself incase anyone asked and then opened the door to Zenas room "Put her on the bed" Scanda said as she was put down Xenya closed the door as Scanda started to freeze over Zenas legs " A little help..." Scanda said as Xenya started to freeze over the arms and then the chest "Wait..." Scanda said as Xenya stopped freezing as Scanda poured some water over Zenas face "What was that?" Xenya said "It's a type of water that goes into the skin of somebody going into cryo freezing that lets their body survive during the duration of the freeze" as Scanda froze over the Zenas head the two walked out "You get some rest Iam gonna take a look around try and see if Chiefs done anything different since my...disappearance" as Xenya went into his room, Scanda set off looking around the castle.

As Nicholas set off at a faster pace, Aven shook her head and smiled to herself. "And to think when I first saw him here, I thought he was going to be really mean."
As they topped the staircase, Avens eyes immediately fell upon the paintings. She had never seen such large works, then again she hardly had ever seen ANY to compare. She stopped in front of the one she guessed was Lady San, she had heard this name many times since arriving, but had yet to meet her, "Lady San...she runs this place doesn't she?" she asked out loud. Half to herself and half hoping that Nicholas could answer.
Slowly and carefully she ran her fingers along the bottom of the frame, still gazing upwards to the face. This part of the castle, the feeling of being watched was absent.
As she was about to turn back to Nicholas, the creature from earlier topped the stairs, Scanda as she recalls, only this time he was carrying a body. Setting off at a brisk pace, she went over to Nicholas and stayed close, hiding slightly behind him and whispered, "Him...that's who I encountered earlier before you found me...". That fear was coming back, slowly but surely.

"Mistress of Castle Neteru, Lady Sankofa. Not only does she run the place, she owns it." Nicholas said as he observed how time didn't change the castle owner's appearance. He then faced Aven. "You should meet her sometime, for when something happens, you're gonna need to talk to her." Suddenly, Nicholas' senses sharpened as he felt the presense of a third party motioning nearby. The dark figure paced towards the halls, as if looking for someone. "Is that the person you saw earlier?" He felt Aven's fear, which made him even more cautious. "Let me try something.." He muttered as he piered into the hooded man's soul with his crimson eye. With a single gaze, he has read more than enough about his past and his present intentions. Holding onto Aven, Nicholas escorted her away. "Unnecessary conflict. Let's keep moving."

Aven nodded and let Nicholas guide her away, she stayed close to him, thankful for the kind gesture. "Yes..thats who..or what, I saw earlier...I've never seen him here before..." she trailed off.
Shaking her head to try and get calm again, she broke the silence, "Before we walked off, I heard you say something about 'trying something'...what exactly did you do? Your whole person seemed to change after saying that...something felt off.."
In the back of her mind she was also wondering when she might meet this Lady Sankofa, and why she would need to if something happened..."This place never runs out of surprises does it?" she thought to herself as they continued on.

"Oh this?" Nicholas then stared at Aven with one eye closed. Deep within the red pupil of his left eye were conjunctions of several ancient markings in a form of overlapping circles and triangles, constantly rotating in a strange uniformed pattern. "I use this to see into people." For a moment he was silent as he looked at Aven's reaction. "N-No! No! Not through clothes or anything! Don't get the wrong idea!" "The book I was reading called this ability The Devil's Gaze. It allows me to read a person's soul wave to determine their actions, both previous and future ones. Kind of like mind reading, only I can burn the person inside out if I wanted to." Nicholas covered his red eye and opened his other eye. "Damn, it stings.."

Stepping a bit closer to examine his eye, she tilted her head to the side and said quietly,"I could...try something to help with the pain...no guarantee it would work though, seeing as I haven't really tried it before...if it's ok with you though." She had tried earlier, but didn't see any signs that it had worked, maybe this time if he allowed and knew it was happening.
She then tilted her head back up and asked, "Also...if you can read peoples minds in a way with that...what do you see when you look into mine?" She knew it might have been to forward, but curiosity was taking hold. Maybe he could see something that would help her know why she was here.
