The Hunter Clan Casino (An RP)

[The Mage of Space]

Brett nodded, grasping Aashar's hand. "I'm Brett. I get around, so I know plenty about Byako. What exactly is it that you want to know?"

Smiling a small bit, Aashar speaks in an even tone "Blin here has painted Hunter as an organization that I would like to join, do you know of anything that might change my mind? any hidden agendas or the like?

Krinna, sitting on the table, nodded her little cat head and wrapped her tail around her paws. Though she was going to have to have a couple questions of her own answered before she could really say for sure that she wanted to join.

"Not that I know of, no. Besides, if we did, I wouldn't tell you anyway. We're kind of...Low on members. We lost track of a few when the Flyin' Fortress fell, and a few more have gone inactive since then. So, we need any able bodies we can get our hands on, and some non-able bodies, too." Brett laughed nervously.

Aashar's eyes spark bright green for a moment, "That you are candid about such things is good, many of my favorite employers were so candid. If I might ask, what is the Flyin' Fortress and what happened to it?"  

[Blight_of_Luca]

Blin raised his hand. "Flyin Fortress was the former headquarters of the Hunter Clan until recently. It was a large monolithic structure that floated in the sky that was heavily armed and capable of transforming." Blin cleared his throat. "I have no idea who attacked us but the base was lost, having crashed into the ground and forming a large crater. In fact..." Blin pulled the steamer trunk off of his back and opened it up, revealing a piece of strange stone and metals meshed together. "After searching the crater in hopes of rebuilding it this is the largest piece I found..."

Krinna blinked at the piece of wreckage and sniffed. "So... where are the headquarters now?"

"Starship Aria. From what I've learned, she was actually part of the Flyin' Fortress before it fell, but she managed to get free of the wreckage before she fell with the Fortress. At least, that's what I think. Could be wrong." Brett shrugged. "Anyway, I joined after the Fortress fell, so I don't know much about it. However, I do know that if Aria is as...Erm...Large as she is, the Flyin' Fortress must have been gigantic. Oh, Aria isn't in space right now, I don't think. I'm pretty sure it's in the airspace above Byako."  

[SleepingBlade]

with a look of mild curiosity, Aashar asks "You keep referring to it as female, is this Aria sentient?"

"I'm pretty sure, yeah. Unless that was Desta talking over the intercom. I don't think it was, though."  

[SleepingBlade]

giving a slight nod, Aashar asks "Would it be discourteous to request to meet her? I enjoy talking with sentient locales."

This was getting interesting, but Krinna didn't really want to interrupt in the conversation again.
She looked to see if the other person there, the otter-type, would perhaps talk to her and answer a couple questions.

"I'm not sure." Brett turned to Blin. "Hey, Blin, are we allowed to have non-clan member on board Aria for orientation purposes?"

Blin thought about it. "Well if we keep an eye on them it should be okay. They just cant wander freely alone if I remember right." Looking over at the feline, Blin approached with a smile. "Do you have any questions?"

"Yessir, I do." Krinna said with a flick of her tail.
"I want to know what advantages one has by joining the clan, rather than just completing missions. What kind of compensation is there? Room and board or a salary or something...? And do members have to go on any mission that is requested of them, or can they refuse if they find one objectionable in some way?"
