Kageko read through the letter, getting more torn as she read further into it. she thought to herself as she tried to organizer her thoughts. The letter basically asked if she wanted to join the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. She really wanted to go and improve herself, she had heard about the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and about their strength, but she also abhorred leaving her best friend.
What if something happened to him? Something that she could stop? He was really lazy, who would be there to kick him in the shin to wake him up and get him working? Vincente was an assassin, and didn't specialize in weapons. Plus, he didn't specialize in either water or wind jutsu so the chances of Vincente going were null. Not to mention, she would also be leaving behind her other friends and going somewhere she was unfamiliar with. The unknown slightly scared her and, in truth, she needed her friends just as much as she tried to help them.
However, on the other side of things, this was a great opportunity for her to train and she couldn't see anything bad about it other than the fact that she would be leaving all of her friends. Mist was known for its weapons styles, out of all the villages it had the most, so it would be the perfect place for a weapons class like her to train at. Not to mention, she had the chance of joining the famed Seven Swordsmen. Even if it was just as an initiate, that was more than she had ever hoped for.
Kageko let Vincente snatch the letter, while she looked up helplessly, hoping for someone to help her make the decision.
(OOC: No I don't have to kill Rei :rolls: . I'm just worried that she'll get you as her sensei since Giro, Vincente, and I are already a team. Well, actually I'm not sure stare . Depends on whether or not Kageko accepts the decision….)

(OOC: Yeah, but it's your secondary. Your rpc doesn't know about his secondary element until he's a chunin, right?)
Kageko thought dispiritedly to herself. If she stayed in Konoha, it would just take a couple minutes for her to meet up with Vincente. She had heard what Shenma had said about how this was a great opportunity, but she wondered how she would live with herself if Vincente got hurt, like when she was asleep at the memorial. She remembered the fight with the seven-year-old puppeteer and how she had been asleep when her best friend was kidnapped.
Then, she realized that even if she was awake it really wouldn't have mattered. She would have been too weak to have even helped out. She clenched her fists. She was too weak to even help stop a mere seven-year old and it was because she wasn't cautious that Vincente got caught in it. If she had been as alert as he was, she should have predicted that someone would come and wouldn't have kept her friend from hiding. If she had been more careful, her friend could have hidden himself instead of warning her. As she was, she really was pretty useless, whether it was compared with an Uchiha or anyone else for that matter.
Kageko had her reason now, but, for some reason, she couldn't say that she would go. Her throat seemed blocked and her mouth glued. No matter how hard she tried, neither of them would relent. she thought to herself as she tried to state her intentions, At least, that's what she thought to convince herself, but the inescapable fact was, she was scared. She was scared to leave her village and travel into the unknown. To leave the familiar and go somewhere new. That's why she cared so much for her friends, she didn't know what she would do without them. Really, that was the main reason why….
And she was repulsed by that thought, revolted that she had been thinking that. She couldn't believe that she was so loyal to her friends only for herself. No, she refused to believe it. If that thought was true, if she really was thinking like that whenever she was helping her friends, then she would do everything to get rid of that part of her.
Her eyes burning black from her determination instead of their usual white, Kageko quietly answered, "I'll go," as she tapped something out into the wall. She figured that Vincente was probably leaning on the other side of the wall, if not, then no harm done. It was a code that the two had, a code that they'd developed together whenever they actually decided to work together and pull a prank on one of their other peers. This time, Kageko rapped out the pattern of sounds that meant something like, "I'm going in," hoping that Vincente understood. She might have been determined, but she still couldn't bear to tell her friend. True, she wanted to see him at least one last time before she left the village, even if it was just temporarily, but she still felt as if she couldn't stand to tell him directly. As she listened for whatever response Shenma had, she was also waiting for the response that usually followed such a message. It meant something along the lines of "roger" or "I understand" or "go ahead" or something of that sort. Right now, she was more focused on Vincente's response than what Shenma was saying, not sure if her friend would choose to respond at all. By now, her eyes had returned to their original silver color.
(OOC: Eheh, sorry for the late post but, as you might have guessed, this took quite a bit of time to write sweatdrop . Sorry, but this is a pretty demanding decision for Kageko sweatdrop .)

Kageko nodded absently to what Shenma had said and stayed where she was when he left, waiting for Vincente to reply back to the code that she had tapped out... or to not reply. Kageko then left the hokage's office as well. However, she wasn't heading to the gates, not yet. Passing by Vincente, she gave him a timid glance and a smile. "I'll see you later," she mustered out as cheerfully as she could before she left. Then she headed towards the apartments.

(OOC: Okay, Ultima. Would you mind pming me whether or not your rpc replied? If you're wondering what the hell I'm talking about, read the last post of my super-long post. That should have the info you need. I just want to know so it can affect how my character reacts to various situations sweatdrop . Oh, also, my character left something for you at your apartment, which I am guessing that you have. If you don't, then just let it slide this one time, please sweatdrop .)
