We should have a Minecraft party on the 31st or 1st.

It'd probably have to be the 1st to make sure everyone can get updated. That's a great idea though, I think we should do it. mrgreen

i work the 31st so the first will be good with me.

since i walk a good distance home i'm pondering taking a costume with me and then trick or treat on the way home if tis not too late

My server is updated for all who want to join.

Edit: Hellgates don't seem to work on SMP yet. I can make one but can't use it.

Edit2: Well, it seems that you can't connect to servers at the moment. And someone appears to be ******** DDoSing Facepunch again so I can't ask some of the more experienced server operators for help.

Edit3: Notch confirmed portals won't work in SMP for now: http://twitter.com/notch/status/29215347020

Edit4: Shutting down the server until I can figure out how to fix the connection problem. Going to go play singleplayer now...

Edit5: (That's a lot of edit.) Figured out why people can't connect. Minecraft.net got DDoSed by the sheer amount of people connecting to the site. Server will be back up either tomorrow or the day after.

I thought updates were supposed to fix things
I wanted to try the new s**t but a creeper got me and there's this great new bug where you lose your inventory when you die

like it doesn't drop, you just lose everything, i went back and it was gone, and i saw him tweet about it

I LOST MY DIAMOND SWORD

and I also had all my iron on me when another two creepers got in my front door and killed me again, so now I have no iron so i'm pretty much back to using stone tools

It's an inventory editor. It isn't updated for the new stuff but it does still work. (In fact, it even works for the new stuff. I had some(1x) lightstone dust in my inventory and used InvEdit to get 64.)
It's a decent alternative until Notch can fix the death bug.

Only after Notch fixes the death bug. At least in my opinion. It's really no worse than using the /give command in SMP.

I haven't seen any pumkins. Or fish. Or any monsters of any kind for that matter. But I did make a working nether gate and that was pretty fun.
