Sheridan sat at his desk, tapping at the glass of one of the jars with his pen. He wasn't sure what to think of the creatures or the professor at this point (beyond the fact that he did not want them running around his room).
A twitch of his tail, a brow raised as the remaining dust bunnies suddenly retreated. Oh of course, why not, it figured the creatures were under the Professor's control all along, of course they were. Why was he surprised? Truth was he wasn't, but at least they weren't big enough to actually eat students, unlike skitter sharks and giant plants. Did every professor have sharp toothed creatures that they could and would send after students during classes? He was rabidly coming to this conclusion.
Despite the other thoughts going through his head, the dragon was paying attention to the professor, scribbling a few notes in his now very damp notebook.
And then the homework. Study, he could do that, it was what he was best at after all. Wait, they had to do this with a partner? He wasn't sure he liked that idea. It wasn't that he didn't work well with others, or that he really objected to studying with another student. It was more that he did not know his partner. Damien, the name seemed familiar, vaguely, he was sure he had heard it in his other classes.

All that trouble, and the teacher could have recalled the bunnies at any time? Why or why was the jikininki surprised? He really should have been by this point, it wasn't as though the very same sort of thing hadn't happened in that gym. Dropping his chin into his upturned palm, the boil rolled his eyes. Not at what their teacher had to say, the eccentricities of the faculty as a whole and their extremely hands on methods of teaching their students. Then again, perhaps they were doing them all a favor, preparing them for some unknown challenges they may face in the human world. Hey, could be.
Didn't mean he wasn't going to huff at the practice of it.
When the class was dismissed and the assignments delivered the boil got back to his feet, offering a hand down to Junko to help her up as well so they could go and look at the board. Dragging a finger down the list until he came to his name, then read across to that of his partner. Lattice? Not someone he was familiar, so surely one of the newer faces among them.
"Mm, Lattice?" He called out to the classroom at large, figuring the quickest way to find this person was simply the most direct means. He hoped so anyways, raising clawed fingers to scratch softly at the back of his neck.
------------------------------
Hadiyya had sat quietly at her desk after catching her rabbits. Hands folding over the damp surface of the wood before her as she'd looked on in amusement as her friends sought to catch the last of their own dusty little creatures. Specifically a certain grumpy reaper, not that any such amusement would be present on exotic features as he returned successful to his seat. Offering merely a proud little smile in her own capture, nudging her jaw so as to draw attention to it. "Pesky little things, no?"
She would of course turn her attention back up and towards their teacher as she addressed them all, chuckling softly as she called the remainder of the dust bunnies back to their lair beneath the bed. Now hadn't that been easy?
She listened intently as their assignment was given out, and then stood to follow the pale reaper up to the board so she too could check on who her partner shall be. Lips pursing gently when she came to a somewhat familiar name. She knew who the fire demon was, had watched her during class as she'd reacted to the water, but did not know her a person. Ah well, she would soon find out, she supposed.
Glancing around the room it appeared that the other demon had already left, so Yaya would just have to seek her out later. For now she would return her attention to the list to spot the name Johan had pointed to. Grinning as she recalled the igors reaction to the reaper on the boat they'd all shared before. That was an interesting match, then again she had to admit that a water demon and a fire demon paired together was also an interesting match.
It made her wonder if their teacher had selected the pairs at random, or if there was some subtle reasoning to whom was teamed up with whom. Considering the faculty, she could rule out the later.
Her own partner absent, Hadiyya turned and returned to Johan's side. Wiggling fingers in a small wave to Christof. She hadn't seen much of him since before their summer break, and it would appear his maker had gotten rather creative with the new upgrades for his progressing into the next year.

Kaiyumi The whistle...couldn't the professor just have done that from the start? Of course she could have--the problem was that she didn't want to. Sighing, she glanced around at her classmates--all whom who had been, like her, chasing after the dust bunnies to collect a few for their jars--and then shook her head. She supposed that that part had simply been a part of the lesson.
Whatever the case, it looked as if their captured dust bunnies were a part of their homework. Group homework, apparently. Though she couldn't help but hope that she was paired up with a friend, Xiu wasn't really disappointed when she was partnered up with a ghoul named Astra. She vaguely recalled seeing her around, and...she seemed pretty nice! Sitting up straighter, she scanned the classroom for her new partner. Perhaps they could exchange phone numbers?
Picking up her dust bunny-filled jar, she pushed her seat back and stood up. Where was she--oh! There she was! Timidly, the ghoul moved over until she was standing in front of her partner's desk. "Umm...Astra? I'm Xiu!"
(( Minipet SN: Kaiyumi ))
By now, Astra was quite used to the sadistic natures of the teachers, so Savages behavior hadn't surprised her in the least. But it was still really annoying.
Still, she didn't dwell on it, as she was now looking at the jar with her three dust bunnies inside. So they had to study these things with a partner? It sounded interesting. And she didn't have to worry about trying to find her partner, as she had already approached her. "Yup, thats my name!" She replied to the baku ghoul with a bright smile. "Hi Xiu. It looks like we get to be partners"

West was glad he was in the back of the room again when he finally noticed the trollapus. He was also glad its attentions had never been turned to him. Several students in the class looked intimately familiar with it. He shuddered. Tentacles.
The bit about the beds left him a little stumped, but so had his previous Human Studies class. What was so scary about the space underneath a bed? West could hardly picture himself crawling out from under one in order to scare people. He wouldn't look scary doing that, just really, really stupid.
At the mention of group work, the demon let out a soft sigh. He had no desire to mess around with these dusty bastards at any point outside this class, let alone do it with a partner. He took one of his bunny jars up to the list in the front of the class with him, tapping it on the top of each desk as he went.
Lizzy. He knew the ghoul well enough to pick her out of a crowd, and had even vaguely addressed her after he had dropped out of the sky during paintball, but they had never had a real conversation. West supposed that was about to change. He peered around the room, eyes narrowed, looking for the ghoul's cotton-candy-colored hair. When he found her he nodded, heading across the room toward her.

The dragon was indeed still in the classroom, at the moment occupied with carefully placing the three captured dust bunnies in his bag. The jar with the particularly aggressive received a threatening glance, try anything and I'll feed you to my cat.
Jars, notepad, and pen safe in his bag, Sheridan stood from his seat, hoisting the bag to place the strap over his shoulder. It was then he heard his name, tail twitching as his eyes narrowed on the one who had spoken. Hmm, logic would dictate the one who called his name was Damien.
"I am Sheridan, you are Damien yes?"
He had not raised his hand as requested, the other could see him just fine without it.
"Suppose that means we're partners. I suggest we find someplace drier to work on our project."
