Dragon was bent over, sniffing the ground, when the tug at his leash caught his attention. He turned quickly to look at Phoebe and hurried after him when he saw him walk ahead. The demon eyed Phoebe curiously, moving at every angle while staring at him, silently asking him where they were going.

Once in the kitchen, the redhead tied Dragon's leash to the island, then opened the freezer and pulled out several steaks. He heated them in the microwave, then set them all on a plate and carried it over to Dragon. "Here, eat up!" he grinned, stepping away to make sure he was out of harm's way.

Dragon was scratching at his collar, trying to get it off, when he heard Phoebe. He turned quickly and eyed the meat that was laid out before him. Reaching the food in less than a second, he opened his mouth to eat it but stopped. The demon sniffed the meat then took a couple steps back, brooding over it. It wasn't cooked meat, so he could digest it, but it wasn't as raw as it got. His stomach growled and the demon realized he couldn't wait any longer and reluctantly took a bite of the food. Finding it acceptable, the demon sat down like a child and, holding up a slab of meat with both hands, bit into it.

Grabbing a red apple from the fruit basket on the island, Phoebe bit into it and leaned on the counter, watching the love of his life devour a raw steak. "How is this my life?" he asked himself, exhaling through his nose. "I never had a pet growing up, now I've got one that i sleep with. How does something like this even happen?"

The demon perked up when he heard Phoebe's voice, and curiously listened to what he had to say, a steak still in his mouth. He climbed to his feet and walked towards the lawyer, or at least how far his leash would allow, and set the stead on his side of the counter as a friendly gesture. He took a step back to give Phoebe room to take it and panted happily while awaiting a reaction.

Phoebe opened his mouth for another bite, only to find a steak on the counter. He looked to Dragon, who waited patiently for his response, then back to the red steak. It wasn't in him to eat something raw, especially since he wasn't a monster anymore, but he couldn't bear to hurt Dragon's feelings. So, with a determined demeanor, the male moved over, tore off a piece of the raw meat, and stuck it into his mouth, chewing and swallowing hard. He smiled as sincerely as he could at the man near him, reaching his clean hand out to scratch behind Dragon's ear. "Thank you, Dragon! Here, you can have the rest. I'm not very hungry."

Had the demon owned a tail, it would have wagged energetically upon Phoebe accepting the food. When offered the rest, Dragon took it into his mouth and scurried over to the pile of meat.
About an hour passed until Dragon finished all of his food. He licked at his claws then moved his hand away to observe the dried blood and fatty juices still dried to him. Growling condescendingly, he turned to Phoebe and clawed at his collar in hopes of getting unleashed.
Once he was, or at least had his leash lengthened, he went to the sink and eyed the faucet. A hesitant hand reached out once and tapped the silver, instantly recoiling in fear of something coming out. When nothing happened, he tapped it slightly harder, this time causing a knob to move and make water spew out. Again, his hand recoiled, but after a moment of observing the water he stuck his hand into the stream and let it roll down his claws. He stared at the water, captivated, and rubbed his hands, observing the flakes of dried blood that fell off. He did the same thing with the other hand, then even splashed his face. This must have been how he cleaned the blood off before waking up normally again.
Soon the demon was clean, but wet. He tapped the faucet until it turned off then took a step back to shake the water off him like a dog. Turning back to Phoebe, Dragon panted happily as he wandered back towards him, ready for the next event.

Water dripping from the front half of his body, Phoebe sighed once more and shook his head, then nudged the younger male to the back door. "Here, why don't we go out into the garden for a bit?" he suggested, pushing back his red hair and praying that he didn't look as stupid as he felt.
He did.

With a gleeful pant, Dragon licked Phoebe's cheek again then walked out of the door he was nudged towards. He sniffed the fresh air around growled contently. He walked further into the garden and sat down on the ground when they reached the center, turning to look at his master expectantly.

Once they reached the middle of the garden, Phoebe knelt beside his pet and started to untie the leash, leaving the collar on, of course. He'd buy Dragon a cuter one later, thought the lawyer as he set down the rope and ruffled the younger creature's hair. "Wanna play a game?" he asked, reaching for a random stick and waving it. Without warning, the man threw it about ten yards away. "Go get it, Dragon!" he urged, patting his lap.

The demon scratched at his collar when he felt the leash come off, hoping it would also come off. He exhaled slowly through his nose when he realized it wouldn't, but it all vanished in an instant when he saw the stick waving at him tauntingly. Silver eyes trained on it, his head moved in the same motion as the stick, following its every movement. When the stick flew into the air, Dragon quickly turned his head to follow it and ran after it. He grabbed it just as it hit the ground and made it back to Phoebe in less than a minute.

"Good boy!" praised Phoebe as he took the stick, shaking it around again before throwing it further. He stood uprigt and crossed his arms over his stomach, breathing steadily as he looked up to the sky. It was so peaceful, despite everything. How could anything go wrong?

Just as fast as the stick had been thrown, Dragon returned with the stick in his claws. He handed it back to Phoebe, but with less enthusiasm than earlier. The demon yawned, his razor sharp teeth shown to their full glory, then gave Phoebe a sleepily look.

Taking the stick, Phoebe smiled softly and turned to walk over a a tree. He say beneath it, then gestured for the Wendigo to follow him. "Come here, boy," he called, patting his lap for Dragon to rest his head on.

The demon followed posthaste and eyed the lawyer curiously when he sat down. He fidgeted with his claws, as if wondering if he really could lay down, then got down and rested his head against the man's lap. Now that he could rest, much of the demon's energy left him. His eyelids drooped, and he yawned again as he rested his claws over his chest. Silver eyes went to Phoebe for a moment, the demon nuzzled him affectionately.
