The Naumend Motel

Looking into Paper's eyes something inside of Praline settled as she realized Paper could handle her own. She felt relieved. It would be alot easier handling what was coming if they all didn't have to worry about another person.

Hearing the choices Paper gave her, Praline dug around and pulled out a bow, with a quiver of arrows, a crossbow with bolts and a staff.

She handed over each piece to Paper and set to finding her own twin b*****d-swords.

Once Praline had secured those to her person she said, "I think I'm gonna bring along a few other things for Black and Jonen."

Items were often found in and around the Naumend Motel. Of these items, the weapons that were found ranged from ancient to modern. Digging around a bit more she picked up another longsword, a shortsword, 3 handguns with some ammo and a more recently appeared item, a halberd.

"C'mon and help me take these things out there two them. What they have won't be enough."
And with that Praline gave the guns to Paper and carried the rest out of the main office back to Black and Jonen.

Paper carried her own weapons and the guns out with Praline. She wasn't sure what was going on, what with the motel manager keeping a decent amount of weapons in the main office but right now, Paper didn't care.
She only cared about the situation at hand and not about what this place really was, at least, not right now.
She could only follow Praline out to Jonen and Black and brace herself for what was coming.

Something Has Happened
The asphalt is now churning quicker and a soft vibration can be felt in the ground. The center of the churn has deepened into an obvious hollow.

Not hearing an answer and being very worried about the saftey of the others he prayed that if he died here, it wouldnt be in vain. He jumped into the holow in the cent with arms spread waiting for the Ten'acle to give him a sign.

The girls were back and they came with weapons.
Jonen looked on surprised and anxious to see what they brought.

Praline laid the weapons on the ground and gestured for Paper to do the same.

"Take what you want, Jonen. Me and Paper already have what we're using," Praline said, nodding to Paper's weapons and her own.

Paper laid the guns down and looked into the parkinglot to see Black put himself right into the middle of the movement.

"BLACK!" she shouted, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"

Does he wanna die or something!? Paper thought to herself. So she began to walk out onto the asphalt to bring Black back to the group.

Jonen looked over what was on the ground and picked up the long sword and a handgun along with extra ammo.
He didn't say anything. He only placed the blades into his belt, the gun in his pants, and held the sword with both hands.

Something Has Happened
Suddenly the churning ceased as an explosion of asphalt and mud erupted out into the air.

The character:
Black

Has been thrown by the explosion towards the cafeteria.

The character:
Paper

Has been hit by a piece of flying asphalt in the chest. She is knocked down.

Something Has Happened
A 60 foot ten'acle, with 12 large tentacles and 18 thin tentacles has appeared!

Avoid the mouth beneath the head/torso!

Black went flying across the parking lot and landed near the outside of the cafeteria, hwere he blacked out for just a moment.

He got up just in time to see Paper get hit in the stomach with a piece of ashphalt, again seeing her in danger increased blacks fighting spirit. " LEAVE HER ALONE YOU b*****d," screamed black as he lunged at the tec'acle.

He jumped into the air right over the creature and unleashed a whirlwind of flame. Then jumping back he retreated to where Parline and Jonen where and excalimed in glee," My halberd, o this is going to be fun." And he sheathed hsi sword and swung the dark blade of his halbred.

Something Has Happened
Black's flame hits ten'acle!

But there is no noticeable damage except a drying of it's skin and the mud/asphalt on it's body.

Praline watched as Black was flung far and she didn't wait for anything more to happen.
As she stepped closer and ducked the flying debris, from the corner of her eye she saw Paper go down.

But Praline didn't hesitate. She lunged forward, both swords bared, ready to hack the monster.

Flame went through the air and hit the beast, but didn't seem to hurt it at all. So she pushed forward ready to strike at whatever part of it she came to first.

Jonen watched Black get tossed through the air and avoided the flying mud and asphalt. He stood for a moment trying to come up with some kind of strategy and already Praline had gone forward, her swords ready.

He was ready to follow her as he saw Paper get hit and he started towards her form.

Black went through the air and the ten'acle came through the ground. Everything shook as it rumbled upward and Paper steadied her legs, grabbing her bow, deciding to go for a distance attack.

As she reached around her shoulder she was hit by a piece of something and it pushed her body down. She fell and took a quick assessment of herself and realized she wasn't badly hurt. At the most she'd have a bruise and for now she had the wind knocked out her.

She could see Praline charging forward and caught the end of a great flame hitting the ten'acle. She hoped it did some good as she tried to get up. Jonen began to rush to her side and she screamed at him, "GO!!! GO JONEN GO! I'M FINE!!" and she dragged her body from the ground, trying to breathe. "GO!!!"

And Paper whipped her bow forward, grabbed an arrow and on her knees she steadied herself and let a shot fly towards the ten'acle's midsection.
