Bailey remained behind Erin and Roulin as they made the small journey back to the motel. She had spoken her piece and therefore, there was no need to speak anymore on the subject. She merely listened as Erin spoke of her past and her reason for being. She seemed to talk about her sister and herself as if they were merely machines created for a single purpose. While that may have been the case, Erin had managed to break away from that purpose and make a place for herself in this world. Yes, she might have been struggling, trying to find herself, but didn't that prove something? Didn't that prove that she wanted something different with her life? Her sister might follow that purpose, but it was clear that Erin wanted to help Elle no matter what it took. The fact that she had not followed in her sister's footsteps was one of the factors that proved that Erin was a strong person.

The trio soon arrived at the rundown motel. Bailey could understand why Roulin would want to find them better accomadations. Roaches seemed to come by the hundreds, and spiders as well. They made it back into the room, which held beds and a small ratted out couch. The blankets had holes in them and were very thin, and the television barely worked aside from a few channels that none of them cared about. The bathroom...the bathroom was...well...no amount of scrubbing for two weeks would get he grime off of the shower wall and the sink. Bailey unlocked the door and stepped inside keeping the door open for the others. Bailey, herself, didn't have very many belongings, aside from maybe two extra sets of clothes and a few toiletry items.

A small roach scurried across the room causing Bailey to close her eyes and shudder in a calm manner. Since they were most likely never going to see this poor excuse for a motel ever again, with any luck...Bailey began to pack what few little belongings she had. She made a mental note to wash everything she had twice...no three times once they reached their new temporary home. After packing making sure everything was packed, Bailey stood and walked over to what could be the cleanest place of the room and leaned against the wall playing absently with the hem of her skirt as she waited for Roulin to make the reservations.

Nik smiled lightly, even when Anya shrugged his hand off her shoulder. He chuckled lightly at her response and said, "No I can't talk to plants, but I could at least try to understand what exactly is wrong. But I can't do that unless you tell me." Nik smiled and looked over Anya's shoulder at her, but is eyes caught sight of her somewhat hidden injured hand. "So that's what the loud banging noise was..." he said with a sigh, wondering why Anya was always so stubborn about everything. He just wished she'd let him in a little, instead of putting up a wall of stubbornness to keep everyone out. He thought he had made a little progress back in Rome, but that seemed to be undone with the Herald incident. Sighing again he asked, "Would you like me to bandage that?" He seemed to be bandaging Ana up quite a bit, but the only thing he really had a problem with was that she got herself hurt enough to actually need bandaging. Nik continued standing behind Anya; if she didn't want him there he'd leave, but he thought she wasn't angry at him, but something else, he wasn't sure what though.

Chris Shadowheart
Demios turned as he herd Genya's cry of pain. He was shocked to see the blood from where he had been hit. "Genya!" He yelled as he quickly pulled the young owl towards him. "What the hell was that" He said to himself. He knew he didn't have time to question what was going on. "Hold on alright, I'll have you fixed up as soon as I can" Demios said. He looked at the Golem "Cover us" He said loudly. He then held his hand over the injury "I want you to heal....heal.....HEAL" he said. He frowned knowing it would burn for a few moments as the bullet was forced out and then the skin began to slowly patch itself up. "Don't worry Genya I wont let them hurt you again" He said. He then stood his hands crackling with energy. "Who goes there, who dares attack me here!" He yelled. He held his hand out "razor wind!" He said quietly sending sharp gusts of wind around surrounding him.

((Other - Genya))

And meanwhile Genya was just screaming his head off..because he was a crybaby and it hurt. The Golem moved to cover Genya and Demi protectively. Bullets wouldn't be able to go through it because of its composition.

Anya said nothing, trying to decide whether or not to tell Nik about the voices in her head from the earth. And she actually was about to until he caught sight of her injured hand. 'Crap.' Anya cursed mentally. Why did Nik have to worry so damn much? it was really irritating sometimes. "Oh this? You don't have to bandage it. I was about to do that myself when you came upstairs." Anya replied, studying her injured hand a little bit to see how bad it really was. It was going to hurt in the morning. "Do we even have bandages for something like this?" she asked Nikolai, actually looking at him now. Right now, she wasn't so much mad anymore as it had somewhat dissipated with the distraction of her hand. She was giving the Dancing Owl a questioning look about the bandages. But she was still kinda worried about how she was going to go about explaining what the Herald status had given her as new abilities. Before Nik could voice anything in terms of a reply to her questions, and before she could talk herself out of it, Anya rolled her eyes in exasperation and finally said, "Fine. If you help me bandage my hand, I'll tell you what you're trying to find out. But when I say help, don't do it all yourself."

Nik smiled widely when Anya presented him with a deal. He chuckled and replied, "Deal, I'll help. Be right back." Nik quickly headed out of the room and into the bathroom of the cabin; opening the medicine cabinet and taking out the necessary first aid supplies. He made his way back to Anya's room and shut the door behind him again in only about a minute. He set the supplies on the bed, and started helping Anya with the bandaging. Within a few minutes, her hand had been treated and bandaged. Nik set the supplies aside and sat down on the bed next to Anya, still smiling, he asked, "So, I helped, now can you answer my questions?" He waited patiently for Anya's response, figuring she'd need to think about it before she put it into words so he could understand it.

Anya was already seated on the bed by the time Nikolai returned with the first aid items to bandage her hand. While he had been out of the room, she had been trying to form the best way to word her explanation, but so far had been unlucky in that respect. Letting out a sigh, the Poison Owl waited for Nik to get back. And when he did, they began working on bandaging her hand. It went by quickly due to the fact that the two of them were working on the task. Much to Anya's chagrin, she hadn't come up with a way to describe her situation to Nik in a way that he would understand the best. She watched Nik for a second or two. He was, of course, still smiling. Anya frowned, but not because she was annoyed with him. Because she was still trying to figure out how to word what she wanted to say. At a loss with how else to say it, Anya shook her head and just said the first thing that came to mind in terms of a description. "For the past two months, I've been hearing things. I've been constantly bombarded with annoying voices talking and singing and everything." Anya paused and looked over at Nikolai sternly, "It'll probably sound crazy to you, but those voices are from the earth. Don't ask how I know that. All I can tell you is that I learned that when I left for a while."

Nik listened to Anya's description quietly, he nodded when she was finished and replied, "I see, well, that does sound really REALLY annoying. Like more annoying than me, which is saying something..." Nik silently thought to himself, thinking of how he could help. After a minute or two he slapped himself on the forehead and said, "I'm an idiot. I know how to help you. Be right back. Again." Nik stood and headed out of the room, his shadow stayed behind to clean up the medical supplies and bring them back to the bathroom. He headed into his room in the cabin, reaching through his bag and finding what he was looking for. He headed back to Anya's room and sat down on the bed next to her again. He chuckled and handed her the headphones he had bought her, along with the MP3 player. "These should help drown out the voices. I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. What I generally do to block things out is turn the music up a little louder than normal, and just try to concentrate on the beat of the song, bass, drums or guitar generally work well for me. I think it will work." Nik smiled and leaned over, kissing Anya on the cheek before returning to his original position and saying, "I wish you had told me earlier. I wouldn't have thought you were crazy or anything, remember, I'm the crazy one here."

Aeon wasn't aware of the leak in the tank, but when Cecilia had mentioned it she studied it. "Okay, watch Aiden" she told Cecilia as she began to walk out of the aquarium and back into the opening of the zoo. She looked around as many people walked past her. She made her way to the information desk as a teenage girl stood there popping gum. "Excuse me ma'am, but there is a leak in the aquarium, I think that someone should come and take a look and try and to seal it" she told her. The girl looked at her blankly and picked up the phone.

"Hey" the young man said. Elle smiled. "Hello" she simply replied. Well this was awkward. "I couldn't help but notice you, you must be new around here" the man said. "My name is Charles and your name?" he asked with a coy grin. Elle looked down. "I'm Elle and yes I've been here for about two months, maybe a little longer but yes I tend to stay at home in the outskirts" she told him. This was the first time she had interacted with a boy other than the Jailyn. "Well I was wondering if you'd like to get something to eat, there's a nice little place we can go grab a bite to eat. he said nervously the teal haired girl.

She moved around and looked at him and smiled weakly. "Yes that would be nice" she said quietly. Charles smiled at Elle, "Well let's go shall we" he said in an excited tone. Elle stood up and followed the young man.

Soon Aeon returned with a few people who came towards the aquarium. As soon as they saw Cecilia they began to stare. "What in da hell is dat?!?! one said with a heavy accent. "She's a person, now address the issue at hand and fix the damn tank" Aeon had barked. They had paid good money to come here and she would not stand for bigotry in her presence.

Amara looked at Vincent and the young child as they proceeded further into the abyss. "I wonder how many people are in this vicinity" she said to no one in particular. Looking at Vincent she smiled. "You really have grown up a lot Vincent, I'm really proud of you" she told him with a smile. "Well I guess it's time that we proceed further" she said as they began to make their way down the corridors.

It relieved Anya to know that Nik didn't say that she was crazy or anything or make fun of her. Granted, she had known he wouldn't, but it was natural that somebody would think that even the person they trusted a whole lot would think that they were crazy. "It IS more annoying than you! At least you don't talk about nonsensical things." Anya agreed, crossing her arms over her chest and scowling while Nikolai tried to think of something to help her. Anya didn't think there really was anything he could do to help make the voices stop their incessant babble. However, Nik proved her wrong and announced he had an idea, calling himself the very thing that Anya called him on an almost daily basis. Before she could ask him what his idea was, Nik had already hurried out of the room, leaving his shadows to clean up the mess from the first aid kit.

Sighing, Anya shook her head. "O-kay...." she murmured to herself. She had no clue what Nikolai could have come up with to help her. The Poison Owl flopped onto her side, head on the pillow of her bed. It was a few moments after that, that Nikolai returned from wherever it was that he had gone. Turning over onto her back, Anya looked at Nik as he handed her the headphones and MP3 player that he had given her. Giving him a questioning look, Anya took hold of the two item and held them in her hands as she sat up on the edge of the bed again, studying them for a couple of moments. From Nik's explanation, it seemed that he really had come up with a decent idea. After Nik kissed her on her cheek, she leaned over and gave him a quick hug. "Thanks, Nik..." Anya replied simply. But when she heard the last comment he said, Anya pulled away and rolled her eyes. "You're right. You are crazy. Any sane person would have called me crazy for hearing voices in my head." With that, Anya got to her feet with a light sigh to cover up her growing hunger for food before her stomach growled. "Well... I guess I could have some lunch now."

Cecilia took Aiden into her arms and bounced him lightly, making him giggle as she waited for Aeon to return with someone who could fix the tank. As she was playing with Aiden, she was also compressing the leak and preventing more water from spilling out. Soon Aeon returned with a few of the employees. As expected, a few of them were rather prejudice and looked at Cecilia with disdain, one of them even spoke in a spiteful manner, which Aeon also spoke in her own retort. The Cosmic Owl shook her head at Aeon and leaned over to whisper to her. "You really don't have to defend me. This is something I've dealt with quite a bit. It doesn't really bother me," she said with a small smile while shifting Aiden to her other arm.

Ember smiled, "now this sounds like an idea" she said shifting in her seat "i dont mind trying a bit of all three if i could, i haven't had a good fight in ages" she hummed finishing the drink as she ignored the fact that in her mind she had been fighting a mass of armed men an women merely days before, "Memorable is a good idea, weather i remember or not begs the question however" she smiled and pulled out the crumpled wad of money she had gathered from the wreckage she had caused, mostly from pockets of dead people. "here take this, i don't know how to use it so it is best that you manage it, not sure if ill be here long enough to learn much anyway, were you planning on going somewhere though?" stares at the mass of bags as she swung one leg under the bar. She really didn't think it was possible for a male to find the need to shop for so much, only women tended to accumulate such a pile.
Now that she thought of it however she wondered if it would be nice to get some new clothes while she was at it, the random lab coat along with her black shorts had been a good idea at the time considering she had nothing else. she thought about it for a moment before shrugging, clothes usually burned on her anyway, she really didn't need more than what she had on. "alright master tour guide, lead the way"

Danny was surprised to hear Nika say they should go back, "you alright Nika? you aren't still hurting are you?" he asked concerned as the canines he manipulated ceased their romping to look to Danny as he looked to Nika. she had been bed ridden for a month, and he had been scared through every moment that she would end up like all of his companions. She was one of the few people that still lived he liked, her unpredictable actions kept him entertained and happy. "if you are tired we could just call it a day, sorry i pushed you"

Elle didn't understand why she was going to dinner when she had just ate some of Nik's cooking. Perhaps it was the fact that she yearned for interaction. As they arrived at the diner she looked at Charles. They were escorted to a table and he smiled at her. "So what would you like to eat?" he asked her. "...Um I already ate, but I guess I could have desert a little later" she told him. She took a sip of water and looked around. "So are you from around here?" she asked him. "Why yes, born and raised. I work at the factory on the other side of town" he said. Elle smiled at him as she began to casually read his mind.

Aeon looked at Cecilia. "It's just not right for anyone to speak to another human being that way" she told her. Even if they did have super human abilities, they were still human. Gathering her bag and the babies she looked at the maintence men and began to walk off. Looking at Cecilia she shook her head and stayed silent. "So what's next? Do you both want to see the tigers or ape exhibit?" she asked the two of them, knowing that Cecilia would be the only one to respond, but Aeon often talked to Aiden, just to help with development.

Vincent followed after Amara as he kept his gun leveled. They wondered down a few corridors until Vincent heard something. "Amara hold on..." he said as he freed one hand. Turning the corner he extended his hand as group of soldiers were frozen in place. "You might want to help me get some of these guys things" he said to her as he began to disarm them.

Amara followed Vincent's lead as she took several grenades and guns off a few of them. Access cards were also taken, and the last thing she took was a uniform. They were resistant to most attacks, and without the use of her powers she needed as much aid as she could get. Soon the guards were there, frozen in place and unarmed. Soon the trio reached the end of the corridor they were in. Looking for a switch, Amara couldn't find one. She soon looked at the access cards and fished through them. Picking one, she placed it against the wall. Nothing happened. Taking out another one...nothing happened. Luckily the third one shook the wall as an opening was presented and the young trio walked through, deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Cecilia stood by what she said. She didn't care what anyone thought of her. Aiden looked at the maintenance men curiously not speaking a word. Of course since he was merely a few months old, he was unable to even if he wanted. She could hear them muttering curses, most likely about Aeon, herself, and even little Aiden. It was one thing to show contempt towards two grown women, but showing contempt for an infant who couldn't defend himself was going too far in Cecilia's eyes. She wanted desperately to lift them and throw them all into the tank with the sharks, but then that would only confirm their fears of all Owls. She glanced at Aeon, then down at Aiden. "What do you say, Aiden, my man? Do you want to go see some tigers? Huh?" She kissed his chubby little cheek before turning her jade eyes towards Aeon. "Let's go see the tigers first. I think I saw something in the brochure about a White Siberian Tiger. I've always thought they were quite beautiful."

As usual, Kate's reaction to the situation was both predicted and priceless. Che already knew of the woman's contempt for the Satan Owl, but Che knew that he needed him to survive this war. Deep down within the dark heart of the Russian girl beneath his arm, Che hoped that she knew this as well. The man had pulled too many strings for both him and her so far. If she didn't know that, Che wouldn't tell her. Kate was a smart woman and she'd figure out that the devilish blonde was more than just a pest. "That's the thing though darling. He doesn't have to know about this game. Besides agreeing to it would give you incentive to not lash out at him for his antics. I mean, you live through my stupidity right? Surely you can live through his," said Che was a playful grin before tickling the perturbed chin. "As long as he doesn't know and you stay out of the way, I doubt he'll bother you too much..."

Roulin continued to nod for the length of Erin's life story. While on the outside it seemed as though he was just gesturing, waiting for her speech to end, he was indeed listening with intent and interest. Even though she didn't consider herself an Owl, he knew what she was deep down. Programs were programs. They didn't disobey, they didn't learn and they didn't care. Erin, a program which she claimed to be, had already exhibited the actions of a human...a being unlike something scripted into the digital world. He didn't care if she thought this or not. If she didn't she'd learn soon enough just what she was with or without his and Bailey's help. "The destruction of Owls huh? Well hey, I haven't had a good fight in years. If your so-called programming decides to finally take over, you know where to find me. Til' then, I'd like to try to form some kind of non-volatile bond here. Owl to Owl."

When finally entering the motel room, Roulin found himself scowling with sheer, unrefined disapproval. This place was a dump and anyone with eyes could tell this no matter how half-assed the housemaid cleaned the place. The carpet, which obviously was red at some point, was burgundy with dirt, stains and holes in some areas. Even the ******** floorboards were visible just at the edge of the collection of dingy sheets and a mattress. This was not a bed as beds tended to be comfortable, odorless and not so close to the ground. Then....the roaches. Roulin couldn't help but snicker at the sight of Bailey suppressing her surprise at the sight of one. "Think it's going to bite you?" When Roulin noticed one, he pointed at it and put a burning hole through it using his photokinetic ability.

Taking a seat on the bed, Roulin went to the motel phone. His cellphone, as well as all of the revolutionaries cellphones, didn't work anymore thanks to government interference. Dialing the numbers to the somewhat better motel a few miles away, he waited until a soft voiced lady answered the phone. Looking up at Bailey with eyes that read, "just gimme a second here please" he began to negotiate things with the woman on the other end.

Bailey picked at her nails as Roulin spoke to the person on the other end of the line. Because of government interference, cell phones were out of the question as they no longer worked. Still, Bailey carried hers with her just in case there was that small chance that they would start working again. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of a small mouse huddled in the left corner of the room from where she was standing. It seemed to be nibbling on a small crumb left by either the trio or someone else who had stayed here before them. It was impossible to determine due to the horrible state of the motel.

Bailey's first thought was to kill it immediately, but given the fact that they would most likely never set foot into this place again, another tactic made itself known to her. One of her vectors emerged from her back and struck forth with the speed of a viper grasping the mouse in its ethereal yet destructive hand. While holding the struggling rodent in one vector, another vector emerged from the same place as the first one and phased through a few objects before opening the door. The other vector, which held the mouse weaved through the room until it was just a few inches outside before setting the tiny little rodent down before allowing her vectors to close the door. The two deadly, yet sometimes merciful vectors then snapped back like a tape measure, retracting themselves within her flesh again.
