oO Lorelei Oo well the con was more uneventful then i would have thought and people were rude... some nice ones but a lot of rude ones..... i didn't stay the whole time.. even the gaia panel was eh.. more tomorrow but i dun want to pay another $35 just for that....
I go to cons mostly for the cosplayers, the artists, and the dealers' room.
Plus, at Ohayocon, we have a bunch of AWESOME voice actors that come back nearly every year.
You should come to Ohayocon 12 next year, Lori~
It's closer than Florida!
And I really like it, the people are fair nice, the artists keep good prices (and aren't allowed to vocally heckle you), some of the dealers are expensive as ********, but others keep fair prices.
And we get AWESOME cosplayers, and we have viewing/gaming rooms, and we get some really cool con-goer-run panels, as well as official panels that return every year. I dunno if we'll get the Gaia panel again, but it was pretty fun last year; which Gaia panel was it that you went to, Lori?
You could even cosplay with my boyfriend and I, if you wanted, we're doing Firefly again. :'D
Well, if my hair grows out enough by the con, that is... >>; *just realized downfall to haircut* Eh, whatever. xD

I use Google Translate.
A lot.
I even have it bookmarked.
But it really sucks at translating Japanese tweets.
I usually have to take the romaji words off to an online Japanese-English dictionary to figure out all the possible meanings and muddle out which one is really meant... .__.
The only words I can guarantee Google Translate will get right are places like Nagano. xDD |

I have until the end of January to let my hair grow out again for the con.
Or I may undertake a project if I can manage to get skinny before con-time comes around.
Meracle Chamlotte of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, in case anyone wants to know. I plan for her to be my first big cosplay project, whenever I can get around to it. Of course, I'd have to figure out and make a costume for my boyfriend in that case, too, though, 'cause he's lazy when it comes to costumes...
But my boyfriend and I have been planning out Firefly cosplaying again since this past con. :'D
'Cause I had fun being Kaylee.
The plan is for me to be River, and then my boyfriend and one of our friends, if we can talk one of them into doing Firefly with us, will be the guys that are after River that she refers to as "two by two, hands of blue."
We thought it'd be fun.
And we don't get heckled as much by cameras if we do random semi-obscure stuff.
Not that having people wanting my picture isn't fun, but, yeah, people phobias... >>; |
