Media as in what you use to render your drawings, e.g. graphite (pencil), charcoal, ink, watercolor, acrylic, etc. I'm big on harder graphites (anything with an H~) and vine charcoal, as well as digital (Corel Painter Essentials 2 on my personal computer; Adobe CS5 in my university computer labs). I'm also a huge fan of GIMP. OpenSource software for the win~~ ☆

Depends on my mood and/or what I'm doing. Graphite, coloured pencils, pen and ink, and sometimes charcoal. Or digital.

I'm really bad with pen and ink... Though I have two or three bottles of india ink despite that, haha~ What's your pencil hardness of choice, by the by? My preference is HB or 2H, with a 2B thrown in when I need to do some soft shading via "pooling," as my high school art teacher termed it. Many people think I'm strange for preferring H grade graphites... But, since most standard, cheap pencils you can buy in bulk at a store - you know, the yellow ones for standardized tests - are HB, I find it to be a natural choice~ I have a pretty set of watercolor pencils that my mum let me have; they're no Prismacolors, but they layer nicely enough for me, and a bit of water helps them blend. Wowww, I ramble on about art, haha. ^^;

I've not actually used bottled ink, but I use these, which happen to be nice. I use a regular mechanical pencil for my sketching and outlines, then anywhere from 8B to 4H when shading. I use 2H for sketching, too. And I've never done well with watercolours...Never used watercolour pencils, though. Do they work better? o.o

I like Sakura Micron Pigma pens for calligraphic elements. >w> And when doing work with rubber stamps. owo I'm awful with watercolor paints... But I have a soft spot for watercolor pencils. They're generally smoother and easier to layer than standard colored pencils. The only pencils easier to layer that I know of are oil-based. And those are expensive~ The wondrous thing about watercolor pencils, though, is that you don't have to be good with watercolors to make a piece that looks like a watercolor. If I take a brush and water to a piece, done on the right paper, of course, just a once-over with the water will make it look more like a watercolor piece. And you can also take a wetted brush directly to the pencil and use it just like a cake watercolor, if you have the wish to do so~ I like them a great deal for the versatility they give compared to a regular colored pencil.

I use water colors sometimes, but only not if I'm drawing people, or animals....then, I never use watercolor, I don't use ink either, I need to erase a LOT.
