gonna work on it alittle more then do that. Will getting some abilities be necessary or would it be best to just start from scratch
I would say that starting from scratch is a good starting point, but having like 2-3 demons from the start isn't a bad idea. So that would be a good start. o mo b

time to read up on the arcanas and battle system lol. So much prepping in these roleplays lol
Arcana is for flavor, and the battle system here is rather simple. We do battle in 'Turns', much like the mainline persona games.

I actually saw a mention of that somewhere but haven't remembered which thread I saw it in lol.
haven't played much of any persona game. Only SMT strange journey and some of persona 4 and dds 2 and the soulless army one.
Havent gotten too far in persona 4 cuz its on an emulator so its REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY slow lol. That and it starts off super slow paced on top of that. 1 hour in and I hadn't really made any decisions for myself as a player yet. I wasn't sure if I had the right game xd

Personality: Oddly motherly even as she attempts to harm you. She has a tendency to disregard one's personal space and/or sovereignty/will in favor of doing what she believes is best for all. She has a strange habit of treating animals and people, especially young ones.. interestingly she is also very good with children, crying babies, animals, and child-type demons of any alignment.
Bio: Long ago a pebble on the roof of a cave had been shown the light of Amaterasu. For all its existence there had been nothing and now it had realized that it was surrounded by many things. The light of a goddess had awoken it and started it along its path to enlightenment. It basked in the light for 7 days, which felt like an eternity for a pebble with no concept of time, but then the light vanished. The pebble dislodged itself seeking the light that had given birth to it.
Through the ages, one incarnation after another, what was once a pebble that had become aware of all around it would take so many forms. A comb that learned of art and beauty, a doll that learned of love and responsibility, a stray dog that learned kindness and determination.. each time she found the light she had sought for so many incarnations sometime later vanished again.
Much time had passed since the 7 days in which the pebble had felt itself be born. Many times born, many times dead again. Never taking its memories but always passing its virtues and good karma from one incarnation to the next. Finally it had ascended to a human form. Or at least as human as the daughter of a cultist could be.
Now a human existence called Hikari by the man that had forced himself upon and eaten the one who she had called mother the evil of this world became apparent to her and yet she possessed the patience to endure this horrific reality and accept what she was without losing herself along the way. Her... father... wasn't such a terrible person to her. Rather he was a misguided fool like the others of her village. Day in and day out she was made to help care for and prepare the bodies of the people they had murdered in their rituals. There was no escape.. not for a young girl who knew nothing of the world at this time. But she had an innate awareness of a greater light than the false one these people worshipped.
Across japan a band of terrifying demons had taken up new forms and had forced, coerced, and seduced humans into worshipping them and helping them to unleash their plot to brainwash mass numbers of humans for some unknown end. On the day this was to happen the members of these villages were placed in a deep sleep for the final ritual but the plan had already been discovered by the Yatagarasu and they had set in place a countermeasure to fight back against this threat.
Now 12, and trapped in a dream-state to be made into one of many sacrifices she found herself face to face with the demon that had been manipulating those around her all her short life. She could feel it seeping the little remaining essence from her as she struggled to continue existing. It demanded to be worshipped by the lowly human before it but she was unmoved by its overwhelming presence. She knew not where but the great beast before her seemed to be nothing more than an ambitious usurper rather than anything that had impressed itself upon her being so many incarnations ago. The demon roared, filling her with terror, demanding to know why she does not worship. She knew not how she understood the words it spoke nor how or why she was able to respond simply "I am far beneath you great one.. but even still you are unworthy". The space she occupied was filled with a great, palpable rage like nothing she had ever experienced... but this only served to awaken the virtues within her. The monster before her, even as it prepared to forcefully erase her existence and consume her spirit, had seemed to become nothing more than a small obstacle on her path to be reunited with something greater than herself. An obstacle that not the strength to face its own shameful state. She accepted her fears and an unyielding blossomed from her will to save this demon from itself.
Taken by the beauty of the birth of a heroic spirit the demon of a Yatagarasu agent had been drawn to the realm in which the childs spirit was face a great demon from the mazelike world he had become entrapped in. A demon that served him, a great and strong woman on a horse, declared that it had wished to become this girls ally. Though she had great courage, she was ultimately a burden on the group who had come to save her as they fought valiantly against the master of that dark realm. Gravely wounded in the battle he realized his mission wasn't over. Having retrieved a strange object he entrusted this object and his last remaining demon to her, the valkyrie that had been drawn to this place as well as his badge. This request to deliver this object was her first encounter with the Yatagarasu as well as her first mission, though unofficial she managed to defeat what remained of her father and his followers in order to meet with the ally of the man who had died to save her and contribute to the unraveling of at least a small part of a heinous demon plot that the yatagarasu would continue to pursue long after she had been released.
She awoke in a dark, cold hospital room she had never been to before. She couldn't talk or move anything but her eyes. In the room was a glowing mass, a ghost that did nothing but complain what a slavedriver someone he called "the boss" was. She had been taken in by a sect of the yatagarasu that oversaw their activity in the Osaka region where she would be given agent training and shelter in exchange for handling any mission she could now that she found herself both having technically passed part of the tests to join and had technically completed a mission. She was found to be most useful in investigations and assaults and was even highly dependable and trustworthy. Unfortunately, she also had some very interesting and perhaps dangerous habits that lead to a 95% mission completion rate but somewhat frequent violent or stalkerish tendencies that would weigh down her early carreer. However, even in her less glamorous moments she was far from erratic or unreasonable typically killing out of self defense even if she had done something to provoke an attack, supposedly for good reason. She was forbidden from operating in some areas in the human world for some amount of time.
Then 22 she, an agent of the Yatagarasu, had been well acquainted with their disciplinary arts and spiritual teachings. She seemed to think of herself as a sort of police-priestess according to her latest psyche evaluation which wasn't entirely inaccurate or bothersome. Having so often been the source of needlessly violent occurences earlier on she had often been tasked with the tedious work such as cleaning and purifying crime scenes which would later become something she would do regularly. It had initially been a punishment but now it was used both as a way to honor her caretakers and their way and it was also to honor those whom the Yatagarasu served and cared for.
Now 26, After her rehabilitation she remained closely monitored even taking a more sensitive mission on occasion. It has been noted that she has a strange infatuation with youthful males and still has some kindof creepy moments but this tends to be overlooked since her ways seemed to have an overwhelmingly positive effect on communities she interacted with and made managing and extracting information from youths both demon and human alike much easier especially in emergencies. She would soon be further tested once more in a more publicly involved field mission as a candidate for future mission well fitted to her skillset and personality. She is recommended for use in larger scale busts, messy investigations, and in situations where extreme corruption is involved or someone trustworthy cant be found.

She is required to practice some form of meditation daily when not on a mission, partly to redeem herself for the lives she's taken, partly just to ensure that she is of sound mind which has always seemed to be the case without fail since her induction into the Yatagarasu.. regardless even if she never shows such signs it was deemed necessary for her healthy development much like medicine would help a sick person. Her chosen type of meditation is gardening. She also assists with zen gardens from time to time or some other random volunteer work. Because of this she has a range of training in some oddly helpful skills for assisting civilians in their everyday lives and caring for hurt animals, people, and demons alike. She often participates in community projects to help her mesh better with normal society as this is a necessary skill for her work.
Professional crime scene cleaner/purifier. She can quickly make scene notes and remove any trace that something happened there without drawing too much attention. She can also purify some locations as long as the curse or barriers aren't too strong.
Has experience with human and demon anatomy. She is good at investigating bodies.
Low level demons and human trainees develop skills slightly earlier while under her care
