Kouga landed on the water's surface as he arrived at Kitty's house,
"Ah well, since Kitty's not here, I'll use her grounds to train."
He put his hands into the water and repeated the exercise that Ric told him to do, so his fire chakra immediately began to vapourise the water.

Kouga was concentrating so hard in refining his chakra control that he didn't notice the clock flying towards him...until it bounced off his head, leaving a giant lump behind and fell into the pond.
"AAARGH!! IT'S KITTY'S CLOCK!!" he yelled as he quickly backed away from the water with his eyes wide open.
