Vence remained lying face up while Mayloo stood up to stretch. He still needed a few seconds to relax before starting the day. Especially sinse they might finish the day early; the wind was in their favor, at least.
"More or less," Vence answered, suddenly stiffling a yawn, betraying the fact that he actually didn't sleep as much as he wished. As if the faint dark circles under his eyes weren't enough. Finally drawing some strength, he sat up on the edge of the bed, content to stretch from there. Listening to Mayloo's suggestion, he smiled a little. Maybe a little stroll was what he needed.
"Not a bad idea," he responded, pushing himself to stand.

Her stance and expression looked nothing like you'd expect from someone who just woke up. The only thing that truly kept anything distinguished was her messy hair and slightly wrinkled clothing.
"Well then off we go?" Vence finally was able to depart from the comfort of the bed all together. Taking his hand, Mayloo began dragging him a towards the door, but then stopped to allow him to move at his own pace. "I'll await your arrival"
And off she went out the door and back up to the deck to find a seat nearest the cabin entrance.
((That's disappointing considering I'm expecting a book page length each time! xD Nah, that'd be to crazy. ))

Vence watched as she left him to follow at his own pace, but paused a moment. As she made her way up the ramp-ladder, he leaned aginst the doorway, breathing a sigh. As much as he wanted, he couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness.
He shook his head, pushing himself back upright. He would just have to put it out of his mind for now. He closed the door behind him, and made his way up.
"Sorry for the holdup," Vence said as he popped up to feel the breeze. The morning was cooler than lasts, and the sky was clear. On either side of him, grassland was present, and to the north a ridge on the horizon hinted of the forrest there.
"Welcome to the Brenethel Plains," he said to himself, and emerged fully from below.

Mayloo was about to crawl over to the hole to see what was taking him so long but she thought it might be rude to rush. A few moments passed until his head popped up to greet the sun from the burrow. ((groundhog reference? ))
He was fully extracted from the deck and gave an area update. "Are we getting close then?" She stood up to join a place besides him and viewed the surroundings. Her heart was alittle in a flutter of some nervous nature she had yet to realize.
People around them were talking casually of the new morning and ship's whereabouts as if they traveled often and for less unsettling reasons then they.

"Closer than I anticipated, actually," Vence answered, turning back to Mayloo and leaning against the wall. "With any luck, we should arrive at the lake by mid-afternoon."
He turned to see the front of the ship, looking on the horizon for some sign of the lake's edge. He would be able to see an old friend before the sun would set that night, something he had hoped would happen for months now. He couldn't help but smile as he suddenly recalled how much trouble the two of them had been when they were younger. Yep, definately a handfull.
"So, would you like some breakfast?" Vence asked, returning himself to the world.

"Oh?" At first she listened and gave a nod at the estimated duration they had left to endure before following his gaze to make it more believable. There was in fact a visible sign they were to arrive.
Smiling when he did, Mayloo was glad he didn't seem all to out of everything like earlier. There might've been something on his mind. However, his offer reluctantly pushed it aside for now. "Yes please" To his side she returned to hug him having not realized the morning hunger she harnessed until he brought the meal up.
"What exactly does a ship serve?"

"I dunno' exactly. Seafood?" Vence suggested, waving his hand to the water below them. He grinned, admitting to himself it was a bad joke, but hey, it was humor.
"Let's just find out," he finished, taking her hand and waving the other down the side of the ship. The other side would have the messhall...why is was called that, he had no clue.

Mayloo couldn't help but push him aside from the boat's edge for she was the water bender, but she was sure to flash an entertained little smile to him to show his attempt in joking was funnier.
She was pulled along by him, watching his further actions curiously till the cafeteria came into view. "Yay" Her exclamation wasn't all that loud but still held a hint of relief to it. Morning hunger was to be resolved gratefully.
Moving ahead of Vence while keeping their hands linked, she entered in a took a big whiff of what seemed to be the norm of breakfast foods. "Does this come free with the ship? Or shall I treat us both this time?" Which was funny considering Vence still had her money.

As Vence sniffed the air to detect the various aromas (nice word razz ) of the morning, he heard Mayloo beside give a sort of relieved comment, and smiled in agreement. You could only tell how hungry you were when you actually smelled the food, and after the night, he was particularly hungry. Apparently, the food here was as normal as any other place on land.
"Well, the ship crew has to make a profit somehow, right?" Vence replied, smiling as he glanced around the area for the various dishes that had been served. If this was free, it would be one Void (No such thing as Hell here xd ) of a deal.
"If you want to pay, that's fine," he added, pulling out a small bag of coins and holding it out to Mayloo.

((Nice word from a nice person?))
She nodded and glanced around. Fruit looked nice, maybe even some eggs, but with cheese, those were always good... Her stomach grumbled and she blushed. You seem way hungrier when even so much as scoping out a meal.
Vence had offered her the coins back which she looked at alittle puzzled. "B-but I still don't know if it's free or not..." Mayloo took them anyways just in case and picked a coin out to fidget with as she approached the serving dishes. She saw no price nor number, just simple warm foods placed out for grabs.
With a smile of relief and a tiny deposit of the coin back into the bag, she looked to Vence. "I believe it may be free!" But even so, a sign of hesitation was noticeable while claiming a plate to place food upon.

Vence shook his head, chuckling a little. She saw it too; no numbers were present that suggested a price, and was set out more like a buffet-style restaurant. But of course, there are few things that are free, and there was a catch to this, he guessed...
"Be that as it may, so we'll have to tip the chef," he replied smiling. He wasn't too concerned about it; just a few bronze and maybe a copper coin or two would do. And that wasn't much consideing the quality of the food that was displayed before them. He took a plate after Mayloo, still smiling as he picked up a few utensils.
"Don't worry about it, Let's just enjoy the morn while it is here."

Xaio at first bit her lip, wondering if that really was necessary or not. He probably had a decent income already, but fine...maybe one tiny tip wouldn't disrupt their travels. "Ok then" Like she had planned before they left, he was to be the banker after all, and that ment giving him back her coins. "Here ya go again"
Well now that she glanced at the food again, it could be worth the tip and all. It would be like any of meal they'd have to pay for. Enough talk, her stomach still complained.
"Hm..." A mixture of fruit in the morning's air always went well with the eggs and pancakes she had been eying. "Yay hot food" She smiled widely at Vence before twirling her way carefully to a table chosen at random. Her plate was placed in waiting for she wasn't to begin her meal without her company. Mayloo had always been taught that.

Taking the coins back and placing them in a pocket, gripping a plate in the other hand, Vence smiled a "thanks" as he eyed the selection available. all the norms were here, making choosing a difficult task - a first for him.
He finally went for some eggs, over-easy, with cinnamon toast and bacon, and of course a glass of water. By the time he had obtained his choice meal, Mayloo had already seated herself at a nearby table, apparently waiting for him. Not wanting to seem rude, he made his way over quickly and sat himself down as well. And just in case, "Sorry for the holdup," he added, smiling.

"No problem at all if you took your time" She smiled before jokingly taking one of his pieces of bacon before cutting into her pancakes instead. Having already adorned them with a decent amout of syrup, she happily took a bite and waited a moment to savor. "It seems everything will be much more appreciated while traveling." There real journey had yet to begin but when it did, Mayloo felt like it should be exciting! It should be even better with a special someone besides her as well.
For a moment, she gazed peacefully at Vence. She wasn't going to mind adjusting herself abit for him. "So...tell me about your friend" He was pretty interesting himself, why not ask about how he came to be further

"Eh, you get used to it after a while," Vence replied, happily picking up a piece of his cinnamom toast and biting into it. It was delicious. "Sometimes it get's really annoying, but for the most part it doesn't bother you." He decided to dig into his eggs when he finished speaking, and smiled almost childishly as he watched the egg yolk pour over the toast. Others might have found it strange, but this would be counted as one of his favorite meals.
Then Mayloo spoke again, this time questioning him of his friend, Theil. He paused then, thinking how he would word a reply. She left the quesion pretty open, which begged the question of how much information was too much. He placed his silverware down non his plate, and placed his chin on his folded hands before him. A few seconds, and he spoke:
"Well, I suppose it's best to start with the basics. His name is Theil; tall, taller than me anyway, but a bit on the wirey side. He likes wearing baggy clothes to cover that up. He's older too; eighteen, if I remember correctly. He's the perfect woodsman, too. Carries a bow, and a damn good shot with it too. Wears camoflage, an expert tracker already, good with throwing knives, and an expert close-combat fighter. We used to spar together. Me and my sword, him and his bow and staff. And..."
He paused only a moment longer. Should he go on? Of course there was more to tell, and she would find out soon enough anyway. He looked at Mayloo, trying to read her features. She was interested, of course: curious for her age, much like himself. How much did she know of magic though? He knew that she knew she could use magic, and so could he, that was all, as far as he knew himself. But did she knew that she was part of a group just over a large handful in size? There was magic in this world, the most common was magician's magic. But an elementalist was different. A person capable of using magic in, around, about, and from themselves. The largely innate ability to harness an element's essence, and bend it to their will. How much did she know about that?
He decided to tell.
"And we fought with magic," Vence finished, lowering his voice only slightly. "I use my fire, and uses heis earth; the total opposite of fire. We would battle up in the Brenethel Plains, away from people. You could probably still see the results and effects today. Charred earth and grass, boulders and rocks smashed to rubble, that sort of stuff." He leaned back in his seat, taking the weight off his knuckles, still thinking. Water and Nature versus Earth...with enough training, Mayloo could actually overcome Theil on the magic front. Of course, unless she could summon Laviathan...
Vence shoved the thought aside. That wouldn't be for a long time, if at all. There were other ways anyway. He took a drink from his glass patiently waiting for some response from Mayloo.
