The cat was out of the bag.... so to speak. "It's kinda hard to explain. I was raised by humans, as a human. By some sort of wind manipulation i could not tell myself from them. I grew up not liking humans. Not all humans are bad, but they are just so full of themselves. Not to mention how 'important' outward appearances are. They dont even get along with themselves most of the time. But anywho, I digress. i started hearing about furs and then I got a close look at them and they helped me see that I was a fur all along. I was so happy to know that I wasnt human. even with the current 'popularity' of furs."

Zoe's head tilted to the side as she paused. She looked at Od. "So, you've always had fur features, like the ears and the tail, but you didn't know you had them until recently?" She continued walking and shifted the wood in her arms. Her tail swayed gently as they came to the entrance of the cave. She set the wood down next to Mason and crouched with her hands on the ground. She shook out her fur, the straw-like needles falling around her. She stood and walked over, sitting on an old crate. She waited for Od's answer.

Mason grabbed the wood and put it in pile, lighting it. He grabbed a piece of metal and laid some pieces of deer meat on it. He began to watch it sizzle.

Well I grew up in the woods with my mother, my grandmother and my sister, adn they all treated my like i wass human. After years of being treated that way, when I looked in the mirror I looked human. I cant say what everyone else saw but now im furry. And I still dont like humans.

Zoe nodded. "Well, that's interesting.." She rubbed her arm. "I've always known I was a wolf. So I don't really know what kind of advice I can give you. But I'm sure you'll get used to the ears and the tail soon. At some point the instincts will kick in."

"It will kick in, but be ready because it's a kick it the a**," Mason grumbled as he cooked the meat. "My brother didn't always know he was a wolf either. I was the only one in my family who ever did." He hugged his knees and continued to poke at the meat with a stick.

"How come they could not tell they were wolves? Where you all raised by humans too?"

"No," Damon said and continued poking the meat. "They actually were able to change into human forms and wolf forms. My mother and father were born in human forms and never knew they were wolfs until they had me. I was born in wolf skin and never granted a human form. My parents tried to change into their wolf form but could never figure out how." Damon flipped the meat again.

Becoming fascinated by his story he sits next to the cooking fire. "So, we can all change back and forth? Or is it some of us?"

"Some," he told Od. He placed the meat on a plate.

Zoe cocked her head slightly and stared at Mason. "I didn't know your parents were human.." Her mind was trying to work out the details.
