Ark and Nezumi

Ellie smiled back as Ark turned to open the door. They both left quickly, and Ark returned 45 minutes later.

He closed and locked the door, and went into the kitchen to get something to eat.

"D-do you really not remember what happened the other night?" Nezumi asked when he heard Ark enter the kitchen; he was working on his dishes, so he didn't really see the other.

"No?" Ark said, confused. "Unless you mean that night you accidentally slept in my bed, but that didn't bother me or anything."

"Oh, well I guess you don't remember," Nezumi said blushing, glancing over at Ark. He stepped a little closer to the older boy asking, "D-do you want you to r-remind you?"

"Uh..." Ark looked more confused than before. "If it's important to you, sure," he said. "Did we have an important conversation or something?"

Nezumi stepped close enough that they were touching chest to chest. "I-i told you t-that I l-like you," Nezumi whispered leaning on his toes, as he gently pressed his lips to the others.

Ark pulled his face about an inch from Nezumi's. "Oh, well, that explains how you've been acting," he said. "What do you want?"

"I just w-wanted to get this off my chest," Nezumi said still blushly slightly. He glanced down at his feet, wondering what Ark was thinking.

Ark pat Nezumi on the head. "I'm glad you did. It'll probably help me understand things from your perspective," he said.

"W-well I need to go work on my garden!" Nezumi said quickly turning from Ark and running out the door; his face was so red, it felt like it might burn off him.

Ark looked after Nezumi with surprise, yet again. He didn't understand why Nezumi was so...fidgety. He was going to ask him if he wanted to go out to dinner with Ark and his sisters, but figured he'd wait until later; it was still pretty early in the day.

So, instead, he went and took a shower and got dressed, glad to be able to dress casual after the long week.

Nezumi sat down at the pond, his feet in the water. This was his thinking spot, even though he feared falling in. He couldn't swim and the memory of him almost drowning as a child didn't help. He frowned thinking about Ark and what he said to the older boy. He wondered if things would change between, hopefully not for the wrost.

Ark sat in the living room, reading. He had decided if Nezumi didn't come back in by noon, he'd go find him and ask him. He wasn't sure if Nezumi needed space or not.

Nezumi ended up falling asleep in the warm grass, thanks to the warm sun. He was having a sweet dream, so he had a sweet little smile on his face.

At around 1:00PM, Ark went outside and saw Nezumi sleeping on the ground. He went over and called Nezumi's name, trying to wake him up.
