James jumped, and he turned around and put a hand on his pistol, "Oh... Valkar it's you." he said, and he leaned against a building, and he sighed, "I was thinking, what if..." he stopped, "Nevermind, I'm just thinking nonsense."

James looked at him, and he said, "Nothing..." he looked back, and he pulled out his gun, "Crap..."

Three hooded figures, emerged from the alley, you could see their eyes glint from beneath the hoods. They had they're swords raised and pointed at James, "Let's make this quick." one of them said, "James Meade... someone put a pretty healthy amount of gold on your head." he said, "You can have your friend leave, we only want you."

James pushed Valkar away, "Go, I can handle this." he said, keeping his pistol aimed at the three killers.

Valkar blinked a couple of times as he now came into exsistence. He merely smiled at the new killers that came into view. "A dangerous game to be playing, friends. Never 'ask' my partner to do anything that refers to me," he said as he grabbed James's hand and pushed it away. A crazied look came on his face like the day James asked about his father. He drew his katana, newly sharpened, glinting in the moonlight. "Time to kill," he screamed as he faded into the darkness. The lights among the alley seemed to just become snuffed. The darkness eating away the light. Soon, it was completely pitch black. The only sound was Valkar's hysterical laughter.

Only bloody screams filled the night air at this point. Sounds of thuds, gun shots, and piercing flesh could be heard. "James.." Valkar's voice called out into the darkness. "Embrace the darkness, James. It will not hurt you." The voice seemed to echo like a void.

The darkness only crept closer and closer to James until it devoured him. The darkness was an empty void. Valkar slowly walked towards James as if he was the only light source. "I told you not to be scared of it," he told him with a normal smile. He placed a hand on his cheek and gave him a kiss. "Now, rest," he told him as he pressed his eyes shut. The darkness dispersed as they were back in the room again in bed.

Valkar turned over in his bed and looked at James. "Its better not to think about it," he told him as he laid his head on James's chest. "Don't worry.. you're ok."

Valkar smiled as he twirled his finger in circles again against James's fur. He kissed his neck and then fell asleep on his chest. Valkar's ear twitching at small sounds through out the night.

Valkar was sprawled out on the bed passed out completely. The only noise he made was the subtle sound of snoring. His snoring stopped as soon as he heard James's voice. "Eh.. what love?" he asked still a bit tired.
