Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Jac was ready to leave the school, knowing he would be back in the morning to see about any last minute classes he could get, but when Delia mentioned she had something else she wanted to show him, he let her lead him off towards what looked to be green houses. He raised an eyebrow and looked around as they entered, feeling the moisture in the air increase.
"Agriculture? Didn't know you were so much into plants. You like to garden?" He asked her as he looked around, his eyes adjusting to the low light. It smelled nice in here, but not in a flowery sort of way. More like a damp earth smell, but for some reason, Jac liked that smell.
Marina Elemento Don't worry about it. Holidays have everyone busy. I haven't been on in ages either. I don't expect you've watched Fox and the Hound yet either, but when the new year starts, I would really like to start that one too. >-<

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia inhaled deeply, nodding in response. "I like lots of sciences, but it's mostly just a side hobby. Mom and I used to garden a bit in the backyard, but it's kind of overgrown since then." She ran her fingers through her hair subconsciously and bent down to look at a colorful shrub. "I'm surprised my sister hasn't decided to start gardening more yet. Then again, she is a little social butterfly, so..." It was then she caught herself babbling and stopped herself from going on about nothing. A sigh escaped her lips as she stood straight again. "Well anyway, Botany's a lot of fun here. There's surprisingly a lot of freedom with it."Kiyiya Sakura I understand! I'll try to find & watch it before I have to go back to school on Monday.

Jac watched her as she interacted with the plants, listening to her talk of her family. He smiled as she spoke of gardening. "My mom liked to garden too." He said wistfully, recalling the little garden that at the time was a jungle to him. He had played so many adventures when he was young with his two sisters, his brother being too young to partake. "I used to think it was cool, but everything I ever tried to grow never did well. Whatever I touched seemed to die." He said with a shrug, then thought about that statement more deeply.
It was true. Too true. About more than just plants. His mother, his brother, and too many friends. He leaned back against a door frame, eyes falling slowly to the floor, then after a slow moment, flicked back up at Delia. He bit the inside of his cheek, pushing himself away from the door frame, "I should go." He ducked out of the green house.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia was thinking about how nice it would be to have her own garden someday and her own house, somewhere cozy and peaceful, maybe even isolated from the rest of civilization. That would be too perfect, wouldn't it? she thought, pursing her lips as she delved more into the idea. Her thoughts were cut off however when she snapped back to reality and heard Jac's words. She had a tendency to daydream ridiculously around him, which probably wasn't a good thing. Her eyes searched his face and she watched him dive into thoughts as she was pulling herself out of her own. Before she knew it she was following him out of the green house. She reached out to touch his arm gently. "Wait, Jac.. what's wrong?" Her brows furrowed as she watched him tentatively, wondering if it was something she had said. Kiyiya Sakura Happy New Year! smile ...Good news! My friend found me a link to The Fox and the Hound online!!! (apparently I suck at finding these things sweatdrop ) If all goes well, I can watch it tomorrow and we can start rping! Hope you're not mad at me for it taking so long. sweatdrop

Jac was feeling guilty, and he hated feeling guilty. He was using her. This young, hopeful woman, looking to better her life by pursuing an education to do something meaningful. And he was using her to keep away from the mess he caused. Shirking responsibility as usual. She was going to get hurt. One way or another, they all get hurt.
When she grabbed his arm he stopped, answering her concerned question a bit too quickly,"Nothing." he lied. "It's getting later and I need to wash my clothes for tomorrow." That was not a lie. His few articles of clothing were all dirty, and he needed to find a laundromat. He really wanted to get away from Delia though. Looking at her reminded him of how much of a sleaze he was. How much of a rat, a dirty dog he was to take advantage of her like this.
There were real feelings there though, which worried him more. If he continued to fall for Delia, he would be in more danger, and so would she.
Marina Elemento Sweet! I'm excited. And I'm not mad. If you seemed like you were taking to long, I would ask if you were still interested and if you would feel upset if I looked for another partner. But I wouldn't get mad. smile

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia bit her lip and nodded. "Oh, right... good point." She tucked a curl behind her ear. There was obviously something else on his mind, but she wouldn't badger him about it. If he wanted to tell her, he was perfectly able to do so. And anyway, she had a roommate to get back to. God knows what she's thinking right about now, Delia thought with a small smile at the thought. Her eyes met his again and she gave him a soft nudge. "Okay, tour's over," she said quietly, "But don't leave without saying goodbye." She leaned on the balls of her feet slightly to give him another sweet kiss on the lips. Kiyiya Sakura Ah, good. sweatdrop Thank you for understanding.

"Yeah, okay." Jac answered quietly, accepting the kiss, returning it softly. He already couldn't let go. He had just gotten to know Delia and she was already the most frequent thing on his mind. I want to see her. When are we going to bump into each other again? I want to touch her, I want to smell her. Those were the thoughts he had, though he wished they were the only ones of her. I need to get away from her. I don't want her to get into this mess. She is going to DIE, and it will be my fault!
He closed his eyes tightly, trying to block those horrible words in his head out. He looked down at her and managed a smile. " Thanks for the tour. I'll see you tomorrow."

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--"Okay," Delia replied. She stood on her tiptoes to give him one last kiss on the cheek before she turned to go back to her dorm. Part of her wondered what time it was; it had to be after nine o'clock at least. Another part of her didn't really care. She had this indescribable happiness inside of her she wasn't able to muster, like it was bubbling inside of her waiting to escape in the form of uncontrollable laughter. When she entered the room, Danielle was laying in bed grinning devilishly, as if she had been waiting for her. Delia raised a skeptical eyebrow but was unable to wipe the smile from her face. "So how'd it go?" the blonde asked, before Delia had a chance to say something. "What do you mean?""You kissed him, didn't you?" Delia blinked in surprise as she set her things at the foot of her bed and took a seat, running a hand through her messy hair. "It's that obvious, huh?""I knew it!" Danielle leaped on to her feet like a little kid on Christmas morning. "I totally called it." Delia rolled her eyes and lay back into her bed. "Yeah, yeah. Bask in the glory of being right." Her head hit the pillow and exhaustion immediately took over. It had been a long day, and a lot had happened, considering. Danielle said nothing else about the subject, which Delia was thankful for, and they laid there for a while, listening to the radio and staring at the ceiling until they fell asleep.

Delia went for one last kiss, and Jac kissed her back. What was he thinking? t was already too late. All he could do now was make sure she stayed safe. There was no backing out of this now. "Goodnight." He told her as she left for her dorm. He walked back to his room. Mog was there, watching t.v. with a beer in his hand. When Jac closed the door, Mog looked over at him, eyebrows raised. Jac shook his head and went to gather his clothes. "Got a job." Mog said, watching his friend. "Good. where?" Jac asked as he found a plastic bag to put his clothes into. "Mechanic off of fifth street. Alex's Body Shop." Mog sat up and cracked his fingers. "Starting pay, ten bucks an hour." "Nice find." Jac answered absently. It was silent for a while as Jac tied the bag of clothes and headed for the door. Mog spoke before he reached the knob. "Whats up with you? I can't tell if your pissed or walking on air. You seem distant bro." "I kissed her." Jac answered, hating himself. "Sweet homes!" "No, man. Not sweet." "Whucha mean? You totally scored! She's a total hottie man! Chika bonita! I'd tap that." Jac whirled around to face him, his eyes burning in instant anger, "Shut up! You're disgusting! Mind your own business for once will you?" "Whoa man, calm down ******** off Claudio. You're such an idiot." He turned and left, slamming the door. He went down the stair, still in a huff and got to his bike, tossing the back in the compartment under his seat and taking off down the street.
It didn't take him long to find a laundromat. He parked and took his clothes in to wash them. He smoked a total of three cigarettes while waiting for his clothes to finish washing and drying, watching dark clouds roll in from the ocean. It seemed it would be raining tomorrow.
By the time he had his now clean clothes, it was approaching 11 o'clock. He dumped the clothes in the bag, not bothering to fold them, and got back on his bike to ride home. All that night, from the moment he had walked into the green house with Delia, he could not get a feeling of dread out of his stomach. It began to rain as he pulled onto the street. He cursed, having not thought of bringing a heavier jacket, and sped up to get home faster. An intersection away from the motel, Jac sat waiting at a red light, watching the cars pass by, their tail lights reflecting like a blur off of the newly wet asphalt. The light turned green and Jac his the gas. There was a squeal of tires, a bright light in his face and the next thing Jac knew, he was spinning, then sliding across the pavement on his side. He lay there a moment, head spinning as he looked back at where he had been. At first, he could not understand what he was looking at. Then, as he sat up, he saw it. There was a car in the middle of the intersection, it's right headlight smashed. A few feet away, there was his bike, the back wheel and fender bent horribly. Jac's jaw dropped open as he sat there in the middle of the road. People were getting out of their cars and dialing on their phones. He was bleeding from his forehead, cheek, all down his arm and leg all on his left side of his body, his jacket and pants ripped from the friction of the road as he skidded. Could today get any worse?!
Standing, he felt the pain in his side and felt his bullet wound. It was also bleeding, but no more than the rest of his left side. He gently pulled up his shirt and looked at it, relieved to see that it would not need new stitches. The wail of sirens caught his ears and he sighed, the adrenalin wearing off and the pain of his new wounds causing him to wince and double over. Shock was setting in, but not from his injuries. From the mere act that he just survived being hit by a speeding car on a motorbike.
Marina Elemento Excitement! I felt like i was boring you, and I feel like its a bit early in the relationship for the plans I have in store to be put into play.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia tossed and turned during most of the night, unable to stay fully asleep. Her mind was racing with all kinds of thoughts, most of which were about her situation with Jac. What would happen now? What was she going to do? Who was she going to tell? So many silly, pointless, even ridiculous questions streamed through her mind as she did her best to sleep soundly in bed. At one point, not long after she drifted to sleep, she awoke with a start to the sound of sirens coming from somewhere in the city. After they died down, she groaned and turned on her side, reaching up to turn off the radio that was still playing. No wonder she had trouble sleeping. It was all white noise now anyway, nothing good to sleep with. Finally managing to turn the darn thing off, she slumped back into bed and pulled the covers over her head, which was spinning from sleepiness. Kiyiya Sakura Oho, that was intense. eek Poor Jac. heart (I still haven't watched the movie yet. Stuff keeps getting in the way. I plan to this friday night though, and if I don't by then, then feel free to kick me to the curb.)

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Jac just wanted the night to end. The ambulances came, along with numerous police officers and a firetruck, all coming to the aid of accident that left his bike bent and unridable. He just wanted to go home, it was just up the street, but the paramedics insisted he go to the hospital and have his wounds taken care of. "I need my bike." He stated, looking over to it. "It will be taken care of. You can pick it up after your taken care of too." One of the paramedics told him and steered him towards one of the ambulances. They wanted to put him on a stretcher, but he refused to get on, so in the end, he sat in the back of the vehicle while they cleaned him up a bit.
At the hospital, they looked him over, making sure he did not need stitches. They asked for his name and at that point, he was so ready to get out of there he almost gave it. Then he stopped himself, knowing it was dangerous as the media might get a hold of it and he be doomed for sure. "I'm fine. I'm going home now." He told the doctor, taking his ripped clothes and walking out, ignoring the protests and cautions they threw at him.
Having to walk home from the hospital was the icing on the very bad and painful cake that evening had turned into. He got home well past midnight and still had no idea where the impound was to get his bike, which also held his clothing. He was stuck in these bloody, torn rags until he could find a way to get to his poor bike. When he entered the room, Mog was snoring. "Great." Jac grumbled, going to the fridge and was at least a little elated at seeing three bottles of beer. He needed to wind down. He popped one open and sat on his bed. By the time the bottle was empty, Jac was ready to pass out. And so he did.
"Whoa man! What happened to you?!" Jac startled awake at the sound of his Mexican friend's voice. "Some idiot knicked the back tire of my bike with their front fender. Sent me flying." He recalled Mog's new job. "Think you could take a look at it when I get it back?" "Sure thing homes. You need to go to the hospital?" "No. Already did. I'm fine." He looked at his bandaged arm and leg, and the gauze on his face and side, all on the left. "I need clothes. Got any?" "Yeah. Hang on." Mog went to the dresser by his bed and pulled out a plain white shirt and a pair of jeans. "Might be a bit big on you so get the belt on the floor of the bathroom."
Dressed in the baggy clothes, he stiffly walked out of the motel and down the street to the college. He still meant to sign up, as he had said last night, and given that it was seven in the morning, he hoped Delia was still asleep, so as to avoid making her worry at the sight of him.
He stood just inside the gates and looked around. He should have asked her to show him the admissions office last night. All of the buildings looked the same to him.
Marina Elemento How's this. I'll give you a week from friday, bcause I know how family and school is, and if by next friday you still haven't watched it, I'll post up the thread and make it first come first serve. That way,if someone else IS interested, I have a partner, and if you are still interested you could try for the position anyway. Fair?

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia's eyes flicked open sometime around six thirty. The first thing she saw that moment was a thick beam of sunlight streaming in the room through the window, lighting up each spec of dust floating about the room. Something blew the dust around, and she flicked her sleepy brown eyes over to Danielle's bed, where the blonde was doing several hair flips in order to dry her freshly showered hair. Delia rubbed her eyes in an attempt to wake herself up, and slowly sat up, leaning back against the wall. "What the heck are you doing awake this early?" she asked groggily, her throat still a bit dry from the not-so-deep sleep. "I should be asking you the same question." Delia merely shrugged. "Old habits die hard, I guess." She was referring to her lack of ability to fall back asleep once she awoke. Even when she was a kid, she hadn't been able to sleep much more than six hours a night. Now, of course, was at least a little different. Danielle smirked, pulling her sopping wet hair back into a bun. "Still thinking about that delicious kiss, I bet." Delia stood up to change her clothes and scowled, but changed the topic quickly when the blush threatened to creep into her cheeks. "Why aren't you using your hair dryer?""It broke." Delia raised a skeptical eyebrow as she changed out of yesterday's clothes (which she had slept in out of tiredness) and into a light pink three-quarter sleeve dress that went to her knees. Looking in the mirror, she couldn't help but to wince at the mass of disheveled nonsense her hair had become. She brushed through it a few times then braided it at the side. She turned to look at her friend, who simply smiled smugly. "Cute. Who're you trying to impress?" "Absolutely no one.""Uh huh. Sure." "I wonder if he's here yet," she said aloud before she could catch herself. "I knew it! So you're waiting for him. Is he coming here? Is he picking you up? Are you gonna go to the beach on a romantic date? C'mon, details!" Delia rubbed her temples and emitted a sigh. "Actually, he's going to apply to go to school here.""No way." "Way."Danielle grinned, slipping into a pair of Ugg boots. "Well, I guess that means I'll have to avoid our dorm whenever you two want a little privacy, huh?" Blush splattered across Delia's face like paint, but she glared at her friend all the same. The teasing was already getting a bit old, and she knew it would probably last long. Kiyiya Sakura Ahh, thankyousomuch. You're a grand friend & RP partner. 4laugh

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
After a moment, collecting his thoughts and bearings, he picked a building and made for it. It seemed only logical that the very front building should be the admission's office, so that was the one he was heading to. He ached all over, but he was beginning to get used to his body hurting, though on a second thought, h figured that was bad enough. No one should get used to pain.
He was also tired. He hadn't gotten home till after midnight, and wanted to go back to sleep instead of signing up to loose whatever outside life he had.
Jac pushed open the doors of the building and was met with that smell of vacuumed carpet and old paper. Smelled like school. He went to the first desk he saw and cleared his throat, "Hi, um where do I go to register to become a student here?"
The lady behind the desk looked like she also attended here. Perhaps a part time job at her place of study? "Oh, I can help you with that." She began to collect papers and packets, handing him the stack and placing a pamphlet on top. "What you want to do is make an online account at this website and click "REGISTER". Just follow the prompt and you'll do fine. Then, when you have an account, make an appointment for an assessment exam and go to orientation. Then you can apply for classes."
Jac did his best to follow and absorb the bubbly information that was very quickly thrown at him. He managed, nodding to the woman and turned around thinking, I don't have a computer...

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--"I'm gonna go get breakfast," Delia told her sternly, planning to avoid anymore teasing for at least now. "Did you eat already?" she asked, hoping she would say no so she could leave and eat in peace. Danielle shrugged. "I had some coffee earlier, but nothing fancy." "Alright, well I'm gonna get a bagel or something.""I'm heading the same way," Danielle replied, following close behind her out the door. "Okay." Delia wouldn't oppose. After all, Danielle was her friend, and at the moment she didn't seem to have any more witty Jac-related comments to spew. Delia made her way down the hall, but not before Danielle ran into a couple loud friends. She managed to avoid their chit-chatting and left the building without much hesitation. Her eyes scanned the gates ahead of her, but there weren't many people outside at the moment. It was pretty early, even for most classes she took, but she figured eating would be the only way to get her mind off things. The cafe was just beginning to open, the sweet smell of baked goods and chocolate lying just beyond the glass doors. Delia slipped inside without taking much notice to anything else, and picked up a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a cinnamon bagel. She sat there in the cafeteria for a moment, eating to get rid of her other thoughts, but the quiet hum of people talking and the radio blaring only made her thoughts intensify. Feeling antsy after her first slice of the bagel, she whipped out her phone and sent a text to Jac: Hey. You still stopping by today?

Jac was about to go off in search of a means to the internet when his phone buzzed in his pocket. He dug it out and checked the new message. He smiled, seeing who sent it and responded,
Yeah, just got the packet of info and looking for a comp with internet.
He sent the text and exited the building, wondering where to go. He saw the cafe Delia had shown him last night and it reminded him that he had not had any coffee that morning. He walked there, taking note of the designated smoking area off to the right of the entrance. Now he wanted a cigarette. He debated briefly which he wanted first, then decided to smoke first. That way he wouldn't have to carry his cup with him. He joined the punk looking girl that sat there already and pulled out his pack of smokes, tapping it on his leg before pulling one out, sticking it between his lips and lighting it. He caught the eye of the punk chick with the multicolored dyes in her hair and nodded a 'Whats up'. He received the same and the two smoked in silence.
