[RAID] A Legendary Heist

The teen startled at the Keldeo's sudden, aggressive movements, his hand automatically dropping to the pokeballs attached to his belt. His gaze darted over to Tambrey who appeared to be doing the same thing but didn't give any signal to act.

Don't hurt it, don't hurt it, don't hurt it!

Was the saying on repeat in his head even as he was thinking of which pokemon to call out first if the need arose.

Kyle kept an eye on the pokemon, though his team mates would be covering that much more effectively, what Kyle's attention remained on was the two women he had followed closer. watching as Noel's shoulders sank... it appeared they didn't know what would be coming out after all.
He was actually surprised that he felt a little sad that it wasn't the Legendary that she wanted to see... or course who knew if she was really telling the truth, or if it was for the enemy.
she was after all, the enemy... the beautiful enemy... so Beautiful enemy, what was your next move huh?

Riviere, caught off-guard by the strength of such a small thing, fell back on his tail. Whoops. He winced and ducked the water blast, but only then remembered that it would shoot outside his illusion limits.

In a panic, the Zoroark changed his illusion to make it appear as though the Keldeo had (with slightly-off timing) bucked its back legs to shoot a stream of water behind. At the same time, he charged back toward the actual pokemon with a Faint Attack.

Riley's eyes went wide as saucers as the pokemon was presented. A real legendary.. "It's so...cute!"

When it suddenly reeled and attacked, however, she tensed and took a step back, looking over toward Izaya, her hand going immediately to her side where Molly and Mia's pokeballs were attached, her heart pounding. Oh they were close. They were so, so close....!

Sensing something was wrong, Nakura tensed, his hand on a second ball. Moving slowly forward, as if to get a better look at the Legendary (illusion), he rolled said ball into the boundaries of the illusion.

Celty, startled, came out to find the Keldeo fighting Riviere. Noticing the young dark-type having trouble, she quickly attempted to use Hypnosis on the Legendary.

Watching as the Keldeo reared back, Rory's hand went straight for his Absol's pokeball as he waited to see if the code would come over the intercom. Looking around the crowd, his attention darted between the pokemon and the other agents down near the activity just in case.

Lily's shoulders similarly sank a little, and she lowered her hand to her Audino's head as she glanced up at Noel briefly to ask quietly, "What now?"



[Claire > Aulus, Tambrey, Rory, Kyle]

"Keldeo, a water- and fighting-type," Claire announced coolly over the earpieces. "Not necessary to acquire the legend itself, but still preferable. Be careful."

Lu's eyes widened when he saw the legendary- maybe he would have been in more awe of it's appearance had he not been attacked by a beautiful legendary very recently. The fact he had indeed been attacked took away the magic. His heart was racing, ready for something to go wrong, and he slipped both hands into his jacket pockets, ready to release his pokemon should the need arise. He glanced from the legendary to Zacharie and Tambrey, then back to the legendary, hoping his worried expression wasn't too suspicious.

No one had said the code word yet since Rory hadn't spoken up and no outside trouble had shown up yet but that didn't stop Xander from palming Conrad's pokeball just in case. He didn't put his full attention on the fight but kept it mostly on the crowds.

It wasn't difficult to see that something had quickly gone wrong, and the ranger's hand went to one of the pokeballs on her belt, "Everyone, please stand clear!"

Noel shrugged in response to Lily, inclining her head softly to a side. "I suppose we stand back."

The dark-type attack, less effective against the Keldeo's type mixture, mostly served to increase its strength thanks to its ability. With a harrowing cry, it reared back again, aiming a series of strikes against Riviere with its Double Kick. Hypnosis's relatively low rate of success returned no results, serving only to incense the legendary further as it realized that it was being attacked from two directions.

"There?" Riley asked Aulus, looking at the Ranger.

So were they relying on it being one of the lake guardians... huh. He had to wonder why, normally one wasn't picky when it came to the power of a legendary.

The team trying to get a sample didn't seem to be having a smooth start.
Kyle put a hand on his belt, but held his ground for now.

The Double Kick hit the Zoroark square in the stomach, causing him to double over as the illusion fell. Celty was frantic, about to use Ominous Wind before noticing all the people around. She didn't want to hurt anyone innocent!

"Oh, s**t," Nakura muttered. He noticed an empty vial and a broken one next to the curled-up Zoroark. "He didn't get the sample. We gotta try something else."

Zacharie's eyes snapped over to the ranger that had called out for everyone to stand back, his gaze automatically dropping to where she was reaching. "..That could be the Keldeo's pokeball." He reached out to touch Tambrey's shoulder, hoping that she'd heard him.

If... if they could knock it out they could haul the damn thing out of there and deal with it somehow on the boat. He spotted the Galactics whispering, though he couldn't hear them, and that... that meant they were out of time, they couldn't let them act first!

Aulus swallowed again, plucking four of the six pokeballs from his belt.

He nodded to Riley; "Maybe," he hissed quickly, "we need to get to her and find out, get that pokeball if possible but don't neglect samples."

Nothing else for it now.

"Avengers, Assemble!"

With that exclamation he released Tortie, Char, Paul, and Discord into the display area and sprang forward, heading towards the Ranger himself. s**t, s**t, s**t he hoped this was the right move to make... but what other move was there?
