As the Hispanic dreamt it was so strange for him to truly have such sweet dreams, so much so that he would truly believe that this is reality. It seemed that they were having a small gathering on his parents private lot of beach where he grew up. They were celebrating their visit back to Spain after so long and as was true with dream logic nobody seemed to question Jordan's presence. They would all laugh and have a good time, he and Virgil would have their usual back and forth. The smell of the ocean, the scent of fire roasted pork, Jordan's obnoxious flirtatious lines towards Vivian. Even Dante seemed to enjoy helping his Aubela and Aubelo with the pig, the two grandparents teaching him proper roasting techniques. During the dream Marcel would stop by the open fire and exchange a few words with his Father and as the two spoke something stuck out to the Hispanic which was something his Papá said "I'm glad that you've come back mi hijo, it warms my heart that you've accepted who you are" the line stuck out to Marcel "Papá what do you mean..." before he could finish his question however Vigil called out to the Hispanic to join himself, Jordan, Vivian, and Dante on the towel. Then just as he turned back around his Mamá had already taken his Fathers attention and so Marcel simply brushed it off and joined the others under the umbrella. One thing Marcel truly thought though was that this was his paradise, at the end of the day the Hispanic was a family man. He longed to have his own family back together as well as the few people that were precious to him. In the waking world Marcel's face would grow a small smile in his sleep as he snuggled closer to his Boyfriend as he whispered those words. Sweet dreams indeed. Dreams seemed to go by so quickly when they were good and he and Virgil would be in the middle of a laughing fit with Vivian and Jordan when suddenly the sound of birds seemed to reach his ears. That was odd, the only birds that ever appeared here were seagulls. But soon enough it would grow more incessant and a sound of annoyance would boil from his throat as the dream dissolved away to the blackness that was his closed eyes. It also seemed Virgil was just as annoyed as he felt the blanket go completely over the two men and Marcel would snuggle into the larger man in a vain attempt to block the sound out. He was having an amazing dream and he hadn't even gotten a chance to have some of the roasted pork that had been sizzling away!

Sadly all good things came to an end and Marcel would end up opening his eyes and simply stared into the other man's chest for a moment in wonder. On one hand he just had a good dream and despite how tired he felt the Veteran felt amazing otherwise. But then there was also a small part of him that longed for that dream to become a reality and it left a small ache behind in it's wake. Still though Marcel smiled as he glanced up at his Lovers face, maybe one day. They still had their whole lives ahead of them after all. The Hispanic close his eyes again just to try and pass the time and maybe force himself back into at least a semi sleepy state, however after awhile longer of laying there Marcel would begin to feel antsy and that was when he knew that it was time for him to get up. Once woken up Marcel had no way of truly going back to sleep, as if it would ever be that easy for him. The former Lieutenant wasn't sure how awake Virgil was but still he might as well be careful as to not disturb him hopefully. Marcel would slide off the air mattress and looked around the area, the birds were still chirping and he could barely see the sun rising over the tree line. With it still being so barely lit out he did feel a bit of the early morning chill set in. Now that he was not under the blanket or wrapped up with Virgil it was rather cool outside but he wouldn't let it bother him too much. First thing was first as he ran to the tree line and undid his shorts a bit to do his business. Once that was done Marcel would stop by the fire and saw that it was all charcoal and ash now and completely cooled. He'd let out a small hum before making his way to Virgil's truck and threw his abandoned shirt back on to keep the chill off of himself. The Hispanic man would then open up the cooler and snatched a bottle of iced tea and began to sip on the bottle as he sat himself on the side of the truck, overlooking the whole campsite. It was a strange feeling, knowing that the two men had been fighting for their lives against a ghost werewolf only hours ago in this very same area. He barely saw the spot where the entire thing had taken place, the indents in the ground where Virgil and Matthew fought were barely noticeable.

Virgil was awake enough that he was at least simi-aware of his surroundings and caught the small noise coming from the other. He’d hoped Marcel would have been able to sleep through all the ruckus but it appeared he had about as much luck with it as he did. Despite being unable to go back to sleep, he persisted with laying there with his eyes closed. He still felt fatigued after everything that happened during the night and it felt nice just to lay there and rest even if the air mattress wasn’t as comfortable as the couch or bed back home. He didn’t plan on moving any time soon until his body or his lover started to make demands of him. The barest hint of a chuckle left him as he felt him weasel his way out of their makeshift bed like he was trying to avoid waking a hibernating bear. Not that he didn’t appreciate his efforts in being careful to not disturb him. Virgil spread out to take up as much room as he could on the mattress once he had it to himself. The blanket slipped to pool around his hips as he stretched out his body, his back arching while his arms reached over his head, one draping his eyes afterward. His wounds from the fight were completely healed, nothing but pink scars remaining where the worst of them were and those would be gone soon enough. The swelling and bruising from his broken nose had faded away and the area was no longer painful though if it was still broken or not was beyond him. He wasn’t about to poke it and find out! He was able to continue to rest for a grand total of five minutes before his stomach started to quietly rumble, which had him scowling a bit. As miraculous as his regenerative ability was, how much of his it took from him to heal himself could be annoying at times. If the former bounty hunter had been one of those people who didn’t enjoy eating then meeting the requirements of his body would be torture. He managed to squeeze another minute out before it became too much and he couldn’t avoid it any longer though he still took his precious time with actually getting out of bed. His shoulders and head hung a bit once he up on his feet and groggily made his way over to the truck. Virgil was seriously chewing himself out for not thinking ahead and buying some bottled coffee for their trip. Tea hardly had enough caffeine in it to make him feel alive! He did have a small pot where he could brew coffee with a campfire, but he didn’t have the energy to deal with that whole process that morning. ”Mornin’,” he muttered softly once he noticed Marcel sitting on his truck while he began to riffle through the bags that held their snacks. S’mores and sour gummies definitely didn’t seem appealing nor did the barbecue chips. The obvious choice was the beef jerky, he shouldn’t even have bothered with looking the rest. He pulled the biggest piece he could find out of the bag and stuck it into his mouth before he picked up his boxer briefs and eyes them critically. They were still as dirty from the fight as he’d left them and there was no way he was about to put them back on no matter how much he disliked going without the added layer of protection. He tossed them back into the bed of his truck and put on his jeans instead though he left his shirt off. The early morning chill didn’t bother him in the slightest. Rather, the wolven male enjoyed it. Snuggling with Marcel was enjoyable and he wouldn’t trade it for all the money in their world, but without the air conditioning, it hadn’t taken him long to realize how hot it could get under the sheets with their combined body heat.

The Hispanic could admit that he really did miss the convenience of coffee in the morning without any fuss. Part of him would wanna stop at a fast food chain on their drive home for some proper coffee but that could be so long away and he wasn't sure that he'd want any later on in the day. Ah. Who was he kidding? The Hispanic could always go for coffee! Nonetheless though there wasn't going to be any coffee this morning so he'll just have to settle for the iced tea for now it seemed. He would simply let his gaze drift over to his Boyfriend and smirked a little bit as he watched the other man lay there on the air mattress. It was amusing to see how the other man could be so adorable yet drop dead sexy at the same time. The look on his face and how he was sprawled out was kind of cute, especially with how content he looked. Then at the same time the way the blanket rode low on his body, just teasing so slightly what was underneath. He would promptly take a gulp of the iced tea before laughing to himself, no matter how many times he saw Virgil naked or in any state of undress he would always be awestruck. As he quietly sat there watching Virgil Marcel would sit there with an amused look as he watched his Lover slowly pull himself out of bed, clearly not too keen on the idea of getting out of bed. As he sat there though a look of realization crossed his face, had Virgil not had any nightmares? He hadn't woken the Hispanic with any cries or flailing in the middle of the night, had the two men truly both had a full nights sleep? Well as full as they could because of those damn birds and their singing. Still though the thought suddenly made the Hispanic feel almost giddy in a way, the fact that Virgil had managed to truly sleep without the need for alcohol completely inebriating him. Marcel would smile a little bit at Virgil and let out a soft hum "Mmm....Buenos dias Querido" he sighed out as he looked up at the now pinkish sky, taking in the first rays of sunlight. This was way too early in his opinion "The one bad thing about this trip, if we were home we'd still be in bed sleeping..." that felt almost odd to say considering that the Hispanic was a horrid insomniac and Virgil didn't have much luck with sleep himself. Still though he would simply chuckle a bit as he watched Virgil strut around as bare as the day he was born without a care in the world, clearly the other man was in his element. Once the other man finally got into his pants Marcel couldn't help but shake his head at the other man. How could he go without a shirt? It was way too chilly! But then again the Werewolf was a living radiator so that may also be the case, it didn't help that no matter how long he's been away Marcel will always be used to the warm climate of Spain. Either way Marcel smirked a little bit at the other man "Going commando? You're already halfway to being a model soldier!"[/grey] he teased a little bit. It was true that most soldiers just chose to go commando as finding a clean pair of underwear was just too much of a hassle when deployed. As he sat there he saw Virgil begin to dig into the beef jerky and it was then that Marcel would feel his own stomach growl just a little bit and frowned as it had dawned on him "We never packed anything for breakfast" it may have been pointing out the obvious but he couldn't help it, the two men were clearly a bit on the dense side to not think ahead. He had no desire to have any chips and candy for breakfast and a single bag of jerky wouldn't really do much between them so the Veteran would just continue to sip on the last bit of his iced tea before setting the empty bottle into the bed of the truck. Finally Marcel would look around and sighed a little bit "We should probably start cleaning up soon..." truthfully all they had to do was pick everything up, deflate the bed and dismantle the tent. Truthfully the tent was the one thing he truly didn't want to do but there was no way he was going to let their money go to waste by leaving it there. Marcel would let out a small groan and shook his head a little bit at the very idea of doing something like that. Then on top of that, trying to shove the dismantled tent back into it's bag? That was going to be a major headache waiting to happen. Still though the Hispanic did want to at least make a pit stop at a fast food place to get some coffee and a proper breakfast at some point "Start the tent now or later?" either way the two of them would have to make their way home so they could properly prepare for work tomorrow and the thought of possibly having students in his classroom was not something he wanted. Being able to skip out and still be paid for the day was one of the nice things they could get away with.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. For once confusion didn't strike him. Virgil wasn't so ignorant of his boyfriend's native language that he couldn't understand simple greetings and pleasantries. Well, a small handful of them. He was beginning to regret hiring a translator any time he traveled to a different country, it wasn't doing him any favors now. He had to say it sounded a lot better than his gruff Southern drawl did first thing in the morning. "Yeah...I'm usually past out drunk somewhere by now that I kinda forget about how noisy these lil' assholes are." Getting up and firing off one of his guns to scare the birds away from the area had crossed his mind shortly after waking, but thankfully his sleepy state hadn't clouded his mind too much or else he might have woken Marcel the shittiest way possible. Content with his half-dressed state, he focused on digging out the next largest piece of dried meat. Now he at least had a small hint of food in his stomach, he was able to properly focus his attention on the one person who truly deserved it. "'Sides them, how'd ya sleep?" Marcel didn't look nearly as haggard as he had the first few of nights they'd slept together. Actually, it looked as if he was happy and relaxed this morning despite the rude awakening by nature. If the other had ended up having any bad dreams, he had slept deep enough to be unaware of any distress he might have gone through. Thinking he could have possibly slept through something and the Hispanic might have needed him wasn't exactly a thought he was happy with. His nose wrinkled a bit at the comment about his lack of underwear. He'd always wondered if the phrase had any link to the military though he didn't know how he felt about having the one small curiosity satisfied. As if soldiers didn't have enough to deal with on top of not having any clean underwear! "What's th' other one? Blind obedience?" Virgil winced shortly after speaking and shot him an apologetic look. His sarcastic wasn't the most tactical without the aid of caffeine in his system. He continued to pick through the bag and eat the choice pieces. "Far as I know there's no rule t'what food can be eaten at what time. Food's food, right?" He smirked though something more substantial than jerky would be nice. Beggars couldn't be choosers though. The big brute was about to pop another piece in though he ended up pausing and glancing back at him before he set the bag down into Marcel's lap. Everything in him wanted the whole bag but he refused to give in to his greed. As long as he could keep his hunger from turning painful, he would be fine. Or would be if someone wasn't ready to get busy so soon! All it earned from him was a disinterested grunt. He could understand that the former soldier was probably used to getting to work shortly after waking up back in the military but the werewolf obviously didn't operate like that. Still, he didn't know of a reason why they should continue to linger in the spot so they might as well. At least he would be able to relax somewhere comfortable sooner than later if they got started now. And better food...that was really all the motivation he needed, sadly. "Later...or ya could get started on it while I take care of packin' up th' rest." Taking down the tent seemed so simple in theory but he was certain there was a reason he was dredging doing it. Virgil wouldn't leave him to do all the work with it but he was kind of hoping the Hispanic would get the process started and finish with the whole terrible thing by the time he was done loading the truck. He went to unplug the stopper from the air mattress before he gathered their bedding and carried it back. "Anythin' ya wanna do in town today? 'Cause if you're feelin' like jus' goin' home an' plantin' that fine a** of yours on th' couch I won't argue."

Marcel couldn't help but grin and chuckle in amusement at the other man's comment. The birds really were noisy little ******** and it was something that certainly irritated him considering the fact that he'd actually had a true good dream "Next time remind me to buy us some ear plugs" their next camping trip he certainly wasn't about to deal with that s**t again! If this whole thing of getting a full nights sleep was to continue then there was no way he'd ever deal with chirping birds again! The Hispanic would then let out a small content sound from the back of his throat when Virgil asked about how he slept "To be honest, I slept great..." despite the fact that many people tended to forget their dreams after waking, Marcel's good dream had stuck with him up until then. In fact the more he thought about it the more he realized that his past nightmares had all become a bit of a blur to him with only specific events sticking out to him, the one from the other night where he dreamt that Virgil had killed the Hispanic's son and began to molest him. Dreams of Jordan's death, warped visions of reality, it really all did become hazy to him with time which was something he was thankful for. This dream however stuck with him, it probably would for a long time as it was his first good dream in a very long time "I...had a good dream with you in it..." he smiled fondly at the thought "Jordan and Vivian were there, and Dante, hell even my Papá and Mamá were there.." the Hispanic let out a whimsical sigh "We were all having a good time on my parents private beach. They were cooking a whole roasted pig while Jordan, Dante, and Vivian played in the water..." the whimsical smile didn't last though as his Fathers strange words echoed in his mind for some reason "My Papá said something weird but I suppose that just goes with dreams..." he wouldn't know of course but he knew that dreams did tend to be at least a little bit odd. Either way The Hispanic would shake his head and smiled at Virgil "What about you Querido? I didn't hear a peep from you all night, you slept well?" if he hadn't then Marcel must have slept through it all which was horridly unlikely considering how wrapped up in each other they were. Any cries or struggling would have woken the former soldier right up.

Marcel would be somewhat caught off guard by the others quick and sarcastic comment and he saw the apologetic look the other gave him. It did sting but not nearly enough for it to dampen his surprisingly good mood, instead he chuckled and nodded his head a little bit "Yeah, that sounds about right" blind obedience, it was funny just how truthful that really was. For a soldier his superiors orders were law, even if you didn't agree with it. There was a lot the Hispanic didn't want to do but had just follow orders with blind obedience as it was expected of soldiers like him. To think he was one promotion away from being the one giving orders. He supposed the honorable discharge did him a favor, the Hispanic couldn't possibly bring himself to give those kinds of orders when he himself hated following them in the first place. He'd be pulled from his musing when the other man had placed the bag of jerky in the Hispanic's lap which caused him to smile a little bit at the other man "Gracias" thanked his boyfriend grabbing a couple of the pieces that were left and popped it into his mouth, his stomach appreciating getting something put in it, no matter how small. As he popped another couple pieces into his mouth the Hispanic would drop the now empty bag into the bed of the truck and hopped down from his spot and smirked a little bit at the other man "Oh I see, leave the hardest job for me I see!" he chuckled and leaned up to plant a kiss on the others cheek as he carried the now empty air mattress "You're lucky your cute" he stated before he walked over to the tent and unpinned it from the ground and began to dismantle the entire thing. It was proving to be much more irritating to take it apart than it was to put together for some reason. Marcel would pause in his work for a moment as he thought about anything that needed to be done. Honestly the only thing that needed work was the door that Virgil had broken but he didn't consider that much of a priority personally. He'd shrug his shoulders lightly as he thought of some papers he needed to fill out "Not really, I'll just have to write out some checks for the bills and I can mail those on pay day" he explained as he undid all the rods that held the tent together. A small growl would emanate from his throat as one of the things refused to disconnect which made the Hispanic's good mood evaporate more than any comment ever could. At the very least most of the tent was dismantled and it was just this last bit that was giving the Hispanic some trouble. Eventually Marcel would be able to force them apart and by then the Veteran would stand up and place his hands in the air "I took the entire thing apart, you can try and stuff it back into it's bag" he would reach into the back and retrieve it for the other man. You could say Marcel was a bit frustrated, he preferred putting things together and not taking them apart. At least unless that thing was a car.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Virgil visibly perked up when he told him he hadn’t had any problems with sleeping and, surprisingly, had a good dream. Marcel would have his undivided attention while he described what had happened in his dream although the talk of a private beach threw him off for a few seconds. Surely that had to be a dream thing, right? Only the top one percent, people with serious cash, had things like private beaches. In America, anyway. He needed to remember things would be different in Spain. Still, it kind of worried him. He didn’t know if he would be able to provide his young lover with anything luxurious than they already had if he was used to it and his parents had any decent amount of money. ”Remember what he said?” The short tale had certainly stirred his curiosity and he wanted to know what the dream version of his father had said to him even if it didn’t really carry any weight hear in the real world. Dreams were supposedly the subconscious way of expressing itself and it seemed to him like the veteran might be missing having his family together more than he let on when they had talked about it. Not that he was about to suggest that he should call his parents right now. Reminding him about the important phone call he still had to make wasn’t something Virgil wanted to do. Of course he would call his damn doctor at some point but he didn’t want to risk getting into another argument about it this early in the morning. He nodded firmly. ”Aye. If I had any dreams I don’t remember ‘em but considerin’ th’ theme they’ve had lately I ain’t complainin’.” Honestly, he hoped the dreamless sleep continued since he figured he’d experienced enough horror in life that his dreams wouldn’t be happy and peaceful more often than not.

His assholeish comment might have not truly upset his companion but his apologetic smile briefly returned anyway. ”Jus’ one more thing t’check me off any recruitment lists.” Not really, but he could hope! A very small part of him was ashamed of his unwillingness to help serve and protect his country but there was little to be done for it now. He’d gone most of his life believing the way he did about certain things and it was doubtful he was going to change anytime soon. He chuckled somewhat at being thanked for sharing.”Welcome, darlin’.” The lycan did his best not to think about how good those last few pieces would have tasted while he went about getting the whole process of packing up their things started. ”Oh, hush! It’s only one thing!” He would call out on his way back over, pausing as he neared him to be the kiss. Virgil offered what he hoped was a boyishly charming grin when he was called cute. ”Am I, aren’t I?’ Laughing softly, he set down the items in his arms on the tailgate. The sheets and pillows were put in the middle of the seat inside of his truck before he climbed into the back to put the deflated mattress into the tool box. His portable grill was the next thing to be put away along with some of the smaller items they had used last night. Living his life mostly on the road wasn’t easy or comfortable at times, but at least it had taught him to pack efficiently and quickly. ”s**t...is it time for bills already? I hope ya will accept cash for my part of ‘em. I don’t have checks.” Or a bank account, for that matter. Virgil simply cashed his paychecks and then put the money in his lockbox. A lockbox he really needed to find a better hiding place for because if his truck was ever stolen he would be seriously ********. Again. But that was one reason he’d purchased the used and older vehicle, to deter any would be thieves. Hopefully. Not having the money at the time to afford anything nicer or import the one he owned back in the states was the other reason. Hopping back down to the ground, he went to go get the ice chest though he ended up stopping to watch Marcel with the tent. Until he heard the irritated growl coming from him, that is. The noise had him grabbing the chest and going to load it as fast as he could before he could get roped into helping him dismantle it. ”Son of ah b***h,” he huffed out as he turned around after shutting the truck’s tailgate. Why hadn’t he remembered putting things back in their bags and boxes was always the hardest part of anything? ”Are ya really goin’ t’let ah lil’ thing like that defeat ya?” he playfully teased, paying no notice to Marcel’s less than pleasant mood at the moment. Walking over, he put his hands on his hips as he studied the dismantled tent and the bag it needed to go into. If he went into this expecting trouble then he was going to but he wasn’t about to let an inanimate object bet him! At least not while he was sober. ”Alright. Stand back an’ watch ah pro work!” Flashing Marcel a grin, he set into motion. The tent would be folded twice before he rolled it up and put it into the bag. It didn’t easily slid inside though it wasn’t nearly as difficult as he first thought it would be. He added the rods on top of it and zipped it up, Virgil smirking up at his boyfriend as he did. ”Easy peasy lemon squeezy.” He sang out while wiggling his hips tauntingly after he stood up and picked up the tent to go put it away. ”Hey, ya think it’s too early for th’ liquor store t’be open?” Yeah, Virgil had his moonshine and a couple of other bottles of hard alcohol but he really starting to miss the everclear. He didn’t have to drink nearly as much of it.

Marcel would think on the dream when Virgil had asked what his Papá had said to him and he shook his head "He said that he was glad that I came back home and that..he's happy I accepted who I am..." it was a strange thing for him to say, even in a dream. It wasn't like he ever had issue with his sexuality, Marcel had accepted who he was in that regard a long time ago. And on top of that his Parents had been completely accepting of him from the start, his Mother was Bisexual as well after all so he had their complete support. He had a hard time thinking about what it could have meant but then he realized that there was also a chance he was just overthinking the entire thing. It was just a dream after all but even then it had felt so real to him, maybe that's just what having a good dream was like. It's not like he could even remember the last time he had one. The entire thing was just something he'd probably just have to write off as nothing, right now he had more important things to worry about. Like taking apart the tent! Granted though Marcel was rather pleased to hear that Virgil at least had a dreamless sleep which caused the Hispanic to smile a bit. He was glad to know that his Lover actually had a nice full sleep with no nightmares, the two of them finally seemed to have been given a break at long last. The Hispanic would then roll his eyes a little bit as he planted a kiss on the others cheek and smirked a little bit "Careful there, don't let it get to your head!" he chided the other man a little bit. He might be cute but he should still watch himself! Finally as Marcel considered the bills the Hispanic would nod his head a bit before shrugging his shoulders "Sure, I can do that. I'll just keep the money you give me and deposit it into my account afterwards" he stated with a thoughtful expression "I'll let you know how much to give me when we get back and I look at the bills, OK?" the Hispanic would let the thought of bills stick in his mind for a little bit as he had begun to take apart the tent. Eventually however his mind began to shift over to his frustrations with the tent until he couldn't help but become wholly irritated by it. Finally when the Hispanic gave the remaining work to his Lover and couldn't help but roll his eyes a little bit at the others teasing "I am a man who can accept defeat when I see it's a lost battle!" he without a doubt wasn't just being lazy! Nope! He'd then smirk a little bit when the other man would get to work on putting that damn tent back in it's bag. He watched as the other man managed to place the dismantled tent back into the bag it came from and Marcel couldn't help but let his smirk widen a little bit at the others proclamation "Oh really now? Then I guess you just volunteered to handle the tent from now on!" he smirked cockily at the other man. Well if it was so easy then the other man could deal with it from now on, he didn't just set Virgil up! Not at all! Marcel would then blink and thought about it for a moment and shrugged his shoulders a little bit "I don't see why not, why you looking to get smashed on a work night?" he would grin a little it as the Hispanic leaned against the truck with an amused look on his face, if Virgil wanted to partake in some day drinking who was he to judge? The Hispanic had done more than his fair share of drinking without any thought.

But at least it was only ah dream so I wouldn’t worry about it t’much.” Marcel didn’t strike him as someone who was denying some part of himself, but what did he really know? Very little in the grand scope of things. If the Hispanic wasn't going to fret over the meaning behind the dream then he wasn’t going to as well. Besides, deep thinking while trying to pack wasn’t his forte. But the ex-bounty hunter could always be a smart a** no matter what he was doing since it required little to no thought and almost came naturally to him. The warning to not let it go to his head made him scoff.”Sounds like someone doesn’t want me t’start thinkin’ better of myself an’ ditch his sorry butt,” As if either of those things would ever happen. Even if the scarred man did somehow gain his self-confidence again it wasn’t as if he would ever leave his boyfriend for someone else. It would take something traumatically drastic for him to think about ending things between them. His wicked tongue would settle down over the talk of their responsibilities though. Unpleasant ones that almost made him wish he was still roughing it out in the wilderness no matter how nice the amenities of the apartment were. The werewolf hummed in response to confirm his plans for how they’d pay the bills were alright with him while he kept himself busy before going over to assist with his tent. Virgil rolled his eyes at his claim of accepting defeat, getting a feeling that wasn’t always the case. After all, Marcel could keep running his mouth sometimes during their back-and-forth when it was clear the older man was the one who was right! A loud bark of laughter escape from him Virgil he was done packing the last item and his lover made his newest proclamation. There was no way he was about to fall for his trick! ”Nope,” he smirked back at him. ”Ya can jus’ get used t’sleepin’ outside on th’ ground if that’s th’ case, sweetheart,” he would sass as he pulled his T-shirt back on. Trying to out stubborn him on the matter of the tent would be a losing battle. He wanted little to do with it after the anxiety the damn thing had caused him last night. His grin returned when Marcel confirmed it was possible to buy alcohol this early. ”Can’t see ah better way t’relax before ah long week of work. An’ if I drink t’much an’ get sick then I jus’ have an excuse t’call in, right?” Yeah, right. Getting sick from drinking was damn near impossible for him. ”In fact…might as well get started on this whole relaxin’ thing.” Turning, Virgil reached into the ice chest and took out the bottle of Jager he’d opened last night. He couldn’t be faulted for being committed to something he was passionate about! As he opened it and took a drink, he looked around the area to make sure everything had been put away. Aside from the circle of stones that made up the fire pit and a couple of places where the grass was pressed down, the camp site looked untouched by man. ”Ready t’head home?” Minus at least one stop, of course. He started to dig in his pockets for his keys only to pause when he couldn’t feel them, having forgotten he’d given them to Marcel so he could take off the handcuffs. ”Or not...think I mighta dropped th’ keys somewhere.”

Virgil was right, it was just something stupid that was said in his dream, it was definitely not something he should concern himself over no matter how much it bothered him. As the two had their little back and forth Marcel couldn't help but let out a bark of laughter when Virgil made his next comment and smirked a little bit "Damn! You've figured out my master plan!" he'd smirk a little bit "Now I have to tie you up...on the bed...with no clothes on....so you can't hide anything..yeah, let's go with that" as if the Hispanic would do something like that. And if he did it would most likely be for different reasons. Marcel would proceed to roll his eyes and gave Virgil a single eyebrow quirk "Oh really now? And if it rains? What, we'll try to sleep in that cluttered truck of yours?" he'd challenge the other man boldly. What? It wasn't that much of a secret that Virgil's truck was not the cleanest in the world what with all the discarded bottles and what not on the floor. He couldn't help it though, poking fun at little things like that was just very amusing to the Hispanic for the most part "Besides, we paid for it and we're gonna use the damn thing!" he shot back one more with before chuckling a little bit. Honestly if it was too much for Virgil then Marcel would oblige the other man and sleep under the stars, he just liked to see if he could push a few buttons here and there. As Marcel leaned against the truck the Veteran smirked a little bit and rolled his eyes a bit at the other man "Hmm I believe you have other reasons to call in tomorrow, correct?" it was a very gentle reminder of Virgil's agreement but Marcel didn't want to make anymore of it than he already has. He knew that Virgil didn't care all too much for hospitals but it was their agreement after all! Marcel would then smirk before hopping into the back of the truck on opened the ice chest and brought out a bottle of Jager for himself "Well I'm not about to pass on some day drinking" it's been nearly twenty four hours since he's had a drink! That's just plain inexcusable for him! Once Marcel took his first swig from the bottle the former soldier would would nod his head when the other asked "You know it, I miss my TV already!" however just as the Hispanic was going to get into the passenger seat he'd blink a little bit and looked at Virgil for a moment and stared blankly "You're kidding..." that was when Marcel had remembered that Virgil had given him the keys after the fun yesterday. s**t! Instantly Marcel would rest his bottle on the side of the truck and looked around in the grass for the glint of keys "Perra!" he grumbled a little bit before looking over at Virgil "You sure it didn't get mixed up with anything" this wasn't good, there was no way in hell they'd be able to get a tow truck all the way out to this isolated area of the woods. Marcel was NOT walking all the way back to the apartment!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Both brows raised as Virgil glanced over to him with a small grin playing across his lips. Being restrained did make him a little apprehensive but the Hispanic's faux new plan for dealing with him didn't sound bad. At all. "Don't threaten me with ah good time." Even if they weren't just joking around he would need to try harder to intimidate him. Not that he believed for one second Marcel would do something like that. Or could since the lycan had a firm belief in his ability to escape from such a fate. He let out a soft scoff when his refusal to deal with the tent ever again was countered, which he should have known that his witty love would have something to say on the matter. But he wasn't about to take it from someone who's coffee table was just as bad if not worse than the floorboard of his truck! "I don't see why not. Besides, th' seat ain't cluttered an' it ain't like ya don't sleep on top of me already," he would argue back only to end up chuckling as the fact they already paid for it and owned the damn thing was thrown in his face. Well, the big brute couldn't argue with that logic! His humor was quickly forgotten as he was reminded of the one important thing he needed to do today. "Guess it depends on when they set th' appointment..." Hopefully, it wouldn't be for tomorrow. If he was lucky, his doctor would be fully booked and he would have to wait before he actually got in to see the man. This was the one thing the older man was actually going to let himself hope for. Maybe if he actually believed in the good for once then it would come true! Virgil didn't say anything when he claimed he was going to join him with drinking and liberated another bottle from the ice chest. The ex-Marine was a grown a** man and could make all the poor choices he wanted to, after all! Seeing how eager he was to be reunited with his television somehow made the fact he'd lost the keys even worse. His free hand scratched the side of his head as he tried to remember the last time he'd had them. "Yeah, I'm sure...wait...you're th' one who had 'em last, aren't ya?" He hoped he still had them because he had absolutely no clue what he had done with them otherwise. "If we can't find 'em in th' next few minutes then we can jus' hotwire th' ********' thing." It was a pain in the a** to do, but the former outlaw would go through with it just so they could make it back to civilization before too much of their last free day was wasted. While Marcel searched through the grass, he began to look in the bed of his truck. They weren't in the obvious open spaces so he reached in the small crevice between his toolbox and truck, making a happy noise when his fingers brushed against metal. "Found 'em!" The keys and a bonus item! Virgil held up the handcuffs which still had the key lodged in the lock as he looked at his boyfriend. "Tryin' t'steal from me, Lieutenant?" He teased with a chuckle as he separated the two items and went to go start the vehicle.

Marcel couldn't resist rolling his eyes when the other man simply had to make his obviously real threat into a joke. He could if he wanted! Then the thing's he'd do to the man....OK so maybe it would be a good time "Ugh dammit you're right...for once" the Hispanic would concede, only with his own amount of snark and sass of course. He couldn't just tell Virgil he was right without some reminder that the Veteran was obviously the smart one in the relationship! Completely ignoring the fact that he was learning new things almost everyday with his lover. He had to admit that there was never a dull day when he was with Virgil, there was always something to make things interesting. Even if that something was an angry ghost of his Ex who became a Werewolf to kill the former soldier. The use of that silver dagger had become very apparent when the ghost had attacked and Marcel was eternally grateful that Virgil, even in his panicked state in the basement had the thought to grab it. Marcel would eventually scoff a little bit when the other man countered his argument with his own. Didn't this man learn that Marcel was just as stubborn!? And he believed that he had proven his point when he called out the fact that they had paid for and bought the damn tent. Hopefully that would prove the point that Marcel had won that debate! Of course eventually his mind was drawn to other things like the mention of the others doctor appointment that he'd have to set up. He was thankful that the other man was at least willing to go through with it and Marcel would nod his head a little bit at Virgil's comment "Well hopefully they can get you in as soon possible, better to get it over with now than later" he commented with a thoughtful look on his face. Honestly he just wanted to have Virgil get it done so that they could just get that damn thing out of his chest. Marcel would then blink a little bit when the other man had mentioned that the Hispanic had been the last one to have the keys which reminded him that it was true "I was?" it took him a moment before the memory of earlier had hit him and instantly he felt his stomach drop as he saw the other man reach in the hiding spot. Marcel felt his face begin to burn a violent bright red when the other man produced the handcuffs and keys. He'd quickly turn his head a little bit and refused to look at Virgil "Just...let's go!" he barked out a little bit, grabbing his drink and pulling himself into the truck as he sat back into the seat with his red face. He just remembered what his original plan was, how had he not remembered to take the keys out of the cuffs!? Great, now Virgil had discovered that Marcel had some less than pure intentions for the other man with the discovery of those handcuffs.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Virgil returned the snark that was thrown his way with a knowing smirk. These rare moments when he was able to get Marcel to admit he was the one who was right made dealing with his sass and sarcasm all the more worthwhile, not that it bothered him to begin with. Always being the smart one in the relationship seemed like a tiring feat to manage to him so he couldn't bring himself to be offended over the reminder. Though that didn't mean he was about to turn around and tell the witty Hispanic he was right once again! The older man only grunted at the logical approach he took to the issue about his upcoming visit to the doctor. Getting the arrow in his chest checked out as soon as possible was the best thing to do, he knew that, but he didn't have to be excited about it or want it. Virgil blinked a few times when he noticed how embarrassed his partner seemed to be that he had found the handcuffs. Perhaps it was the lack of coffee in his system but it never crossed his mind that they were hidden so they could be used on him at some point. In fact, his trail of thought on the whole matter was rather innocent for once. Simply that the keys and handcuffs had gotten dropped and had fallen in the spot at some point. Once they were in the truck, he glanced over to the passenger side and his confusion only grew upon finding the normally tan face still a bright shade of crimson. He got that the whole experience could be embarrassing afterward although he was starting to wonder if there was some larger issue he wasn't seeing. The handcuffs and the case that normally went into were tossed in Marcel's lap before he put the vehicle into motion. There was only so much multitasking he could do while behind the wheel, navigating a makeshift path through the deep woods while drinking already took up a lot so he would leave the handcuffs his partner. The case itself was black leather similar to the type law enforcement used although the badge attached was different. A silver human skull with two swords crossed behind it and a dollar symbol on the forehead, an emblem used the world over for an agency of mercenaries and hunters that primarily worked for the black council. "Did ya not...like it or somethin'?" Virgil would ask after a couple of minutes, concerned with how unhappy Marcel appeared to be that the handcuffs had been found.

Marcel couldn't believe that he had completely forgotten about what he had done with the cuffs. That was embarrassing beyond anything he'd ever been though. ******** Matthew. His whole interruption was probably the reason he'd forgotten about his little hiding spot in the first place! He'd only entered into the truck to get a moment of peace away from the eventual slew of teases and smartass remarks that were bound to be coming his way. The Hispanic's red face sadly didn't get any better when Virgil got into the truck with him and placed the handcuffs into his lap along with it's apparent case that they went in. He was ******** doing this on purpose! The ******** b*****d! To try and distract himself from his thoughts, Marcel would look down at and open the case to look at it. The badge on it was the most standout feature on the case and despite the initial thought that it was a sheriff's badge of sorts - the human skull on it with the grim design with swords would tell a different story. Just as Marcel was wondering if Virgil was purposely trying to drag this out he'd turn his head and blink at Virgil in total surprise when the other man asked if he didn't like it. Was...was he serious? Then the concerned look on his face would be all that he needed to know the other man was serious about it. How could someone who was usually so sharp be so dull? Oh right, they did only wake up fifteen or so minutes ago so there was a good chance Virgil just wasn't his usual self. Still though Marcel's smile grew as the redness faded before he began to chuckle and then followed soon after by bellowing laughter. It was just something about the whole situation that tickled Marcel's funny bone. Once he finally was able to calm down and breath properly as the other man drove them through the park Marcel would grin over at the other man "Nothing like that Querido, it really was amazing" if there was a better word than amazing then that's what he'd use to describe last yesterdays fun "It's nothing important, don't worry about it" he would both reassure the other man and brush the issue off at the same time. As they drove their way back Marcel would place the cuffs back into the bag and looked down at it for a moment before letting out a small hum and placing the item in the glove box, there was no need to bring the badge up. He already knew about Virgil's past and he didn't need to pry open more wounds by asking about it. Maybe another time when it came up but until then he'd simply prefer the quiet of their car ride. The former soldier would then look over at Virgil and chuckled once more at how his worries had no foundation "How are you feeling Querido? All your wounds heal up?" he'd be sure to ask as his smirk would shift into one that was a touch more concerned for the other man. Had Virgil not thrown himself at Matthew then Marcel would have been the one who possibly sustained wounds that would more than likely have been genuinely fatal for him. He really was lucky to have someone who was so willing to do this for him. Finally Marcel would look out the window once things quieted down again and turned to Virgil "I'll be honest, I'm still starving. Let's stop at a fast food joint or something for a quick breakfast. What do you say?" he doubted there would be any objections to the suggestion but he still wanted to be sure and maybe even see if Virgil wanted to stop somewhere to sit in and eat or just stop at a drive through and push on home. Frankly the Hispanic was more partial to the latter but he was fine with either really.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It took at least two cups of strong coffee and an hour of relaxation for Virgil to start fully functioning like his normal self. Without it, he was left operating mostly on auto-pilot and would be stuck in a half-awake limbo for a while. His expression became slightly alarmed when his chuckling shifted into full-blown laughter. A small huff was released as he got a feeling there was some joke that he wasn't privy to or was at least blind to what so damn funny. But his mild annoyance at not knowing what was going on inside the other's head was soon forgotten once Marcel reassured him that not enjoying last night's antics wasn't the case. His lips started to form into a smirk as he prepared to tease him about his choice of words for describing what had happened but the whole issue was brushed off before he could utter one sound. His eyes narrowed a bit as he looked at him. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you're hidin' somethin'..." he muttered before quieting down again. Something in his mind was begging him to go back an examine the whole situation, that there was something obvious he was missing, but he disregarded the nagging sensation. Thinking any deeper than he needed to wasn't something he had the energy for right now. Virgil wasn't completely used to being around someone who was just as a smart a** as he was yet and it took a lot to keep up with the snarky wit, he was taking the opportunity the comfortable silence between them provided to rest his mind! He simply focused on not spilling the spiced alcohol as he drank from his bottle while steering them down the bumpy path with his free hand. He loved hearing the Hispanic talk about anything, but at the moment, he almost wished he hadn't voiced his concern. The relative quiet was nice, but it was mostly because he didn't know how to answer. It didn't take him too long to decide to simply omit some of the truth. "Better than I did ah few hours ago. Still kinda feel out of it, but at least I'm not ah bloody mess anymore, aye?" He offered a half-smile. Actually getting to properly sleep had done him a lot of good. It was the moving around too much that was screwing him over, annoyingly enough. The light-headedness and faint feeling that had struck him while they'd been loading the truck and looking for the keys had left him now he was sitting and barely moving. He wasn't going to let himself worry over the unnatural bout of weakness or mention it though. He was fine, everything was! At least, he would be once he got some food and caffeine into his system. Like always. That was what he was going to tell himself, anyway.

The question would be answered by the engine revving as he whipped out on the highway and started to speed back to the town they lived in. "Hell yeah." Obviously, the werewolf was willing to chow down! Well, kind of. Along with frozen dinners, fast food really was near the bottom of the list of things he liked to eat. But he knew a restaurant wouldn't allow him to bring in his drink and consuming alcohol was something he very much wanted to keep doing. Taking a break would get him closer to sober than it would drunk and that couldn't happen! "I'm gonna stop by this one joint first. We can go somewhere else if ya don't want anythin' from here." It was an America franchise that was close to being popular the world over though the older man couldn't fathom why other countries would want the cheaply made attery-clogging hamburgers and fries anywhere near them. There were other items on the menu, of course, but he was certain the company even managed to make their salads unhealthy. Slowing down, he pulled into the parking lot and went for the drive-through. There was one good thing about being awake this early- no lines. Virgil took a few seconds to scan over the mostly foreign menu after the employee asked him for his order, but it didn't take him all that long find the one thing he would eat from this place."I need two number nines but without th' drinks. Ah large coffee an' uh...:hold on." Pausing, he looked to Marcel and tilted his to the side. "What's it goin' t'be, darlin'?" The two meals were for him because he wasn't a pompous a** that ordered food for his companion unless asked. Being a glutton had little to do with it, damn it! "Th' sausage biscuit with egg an' cheese is good. Th' one with lil' syrupy pancakes for buns is better." Virgil grinned a little. What? There was something strangely appealing about eating some of the more well-known breakfast food at the same time.

Marcel had to admit that he kind of liked it when Virgil was this out of it in the early morning, it was kind of cute to see him try to puzzle over what was going on. The Hispanic would then smirk a little bit when his Boyfriends's eyes narrowed in on him which caused him to chuckle a bit "Nah, you're just imagining things" he plainly wrote off before his smirk grew a bit more wicked "Solo estaba planeando esposarte y doblarte para darte la noche de tu vida" as usual Marcel would revert over to Spanish when he had much more naughty things he wanted to say. It was always so fun to know that Virgil was entirely clueless about what was being said to him. Still though he knew it wouldn't be too much longer until Virgil's mind finally cleared up and he'd be able to think about the situation more clearly. Then he'd give the Hispanic hell and probably tease him relentlessly for it which meant Marcel would have to come up with some good snappy comebacks ahead of time for the inevitable. But until then Marcel could sit back and relax a little bit as Virgil would tell him that while he wasn't a hundred percent he was better "Yeah at least you're OK. How about when we get home we just cuddle up on the couch, some TV in the background, and you just focus on feeling better if you're still out of it it sounded like a date to him. He liked being out and about with Virgil but for the homebody nothing quite beat just reclining on the couch with the person he loved. He notice though that Virgil was definitely more out of it than he let on, even the night when the demon first attacked them Virgil hadn't been this worn out looking. It was a bit worrying for Marcel and he knew that Virgil wasn't the type to openly admit to things such as how he was feeling at the moment. But as long as nothing bad happened he'd let it slide, it was partially why he suggested that they recline on the couch for the day until Virgil felt better. Marcel would chuckle a little bit as they all but ripped out onto the empty highway, gunning it back to their town. He'd shrug his shoulders at the other man's explanation "I'm too hungry to be choosey, I'll take anything honestly" much like Virgil, Marcel wasn't too fond of fast food joints. If he was going to get easy food then he was going to call take out, at least the food tasted better and was of a marginally higher quality. Once they stopped in the drive through of the fast food joint the Hispanic would briefly skim the menu as he tried to see something that caught his eye. He'd listen to Virgil order and glanced over at him for a moment and his face scrunched up at all the menu items. Well this was going to be more difficult before Virgil made his suggestion and nodded his head "Just get both of those for me as well as a number five with a large coffee as well" Marcel was feeling just as gluttonous as his Love at this moment so he figured screw it and go with it. Once the orders were made he'd quickly lift his hand up to Virgil and reached into his wallet and pulled out a credit card "Save you some time count the cash" by now he knew Virgil almost exclusively carried cash only so he'd but their breakfast if the Werewolf allowed him.
