Paper screamed at him to move forward as she thrust he body upward and let an arrow fly.

That was all Jonen needed to see. So leaving Paper behind, Black was near and he grabbed a halberd with a delighted look on his face.

He could only smile to himself as he heard what Black said and Jonen rushed to Praline's side, longsword ready.

Seeing Paper's arrow fly and Parline and Jonens' charge Black dashed at his enemy. Hoping Praline, Jonen, and Paper would somehow follow through, black sswitly cut at a tentacl with his blade and then jumped on its head stabbing into the tip and then fleeing behind it, hoping that having enemies on two sides would addle it a bit.

Watching Black attack and flip to the other side of the monster struck Praline as a good idea. They'd have a better chance surrounding it than concentrating on one side of it.

So, rushing forward she swung her swords ahead and beside her hitting 3 tentacles on her way, grazing them.
Dashing around and between, she made her way to Black's side and gave him a small nod while readying herself to attack again.

Jonen didn't immediately realize what Praline and Black were doing and wondered if he should follow. But he decided to stay where he was, closer to Paper.

As limbs flew at him he displayed his large blade in one hand while making stabbing movements with one of the smaller blades Black had lent him.

He managed to cut a tip from one tentacle and cause 2 smaller ones to bleed.

Paper didn't feel she was doing very well from a distance and decided to get closer and use her crossbow.
She loaded a bolt into it and ran forward shooting. Then, she ran from where she was farther right, continously spraying the small arrows.

The monster was hit in a steady line and she managed to lodge 4 arrows into it's body, and 2 into a tentacle. Other's had been hit away.

Putting her crossbow to her back she grabbed her staff, swinging into the air at any passing parts. A hard enough hit could damage muscle and cause a tentacle to be useless. She wasn't really sure if there was bone in it's limbs so she wasn't counting on any breakage.

Black murmuring a slight incantation and his blade glowed are strong dark aura. He went right to a tentacle and cut straight through and had to dodge quickly breathing heavily now he had to wait just a bit to recover form the enrgy used with the spell, but boy was he p happy to have his halberd back.

Praline slashed and tore into ten'acle flesh.
Swinging both swords in a centered arc Praline severed off more than half of one of the major tentacles and blood sprayed everywhere for a few moments.

Jonen wanted to be able to do more damage and couldn't think of anything better than a tearing stab. But in order to make it count he would have to get close to the main body and that would put him in harm's way.

"Paper!" he shouted, "Cover me! I'm going to try for a gut wound!" And without waiting for confirmation he ran towards the beast.

Barely having any time to react Paper dropped her staff and brought back her crossbow and shot at the tentacles flying towards Jonen's quick form.

Trying to dodge her own tentacles while trying her best not to hit Jonen, a piece of debris was flung towards Paper. She could either dodge and miss covering Jonen, or get hit still covering Jonen while she was so close.

She decided to get hit.

Arriving at the belly of the beast Jonen wasted no time and immediately sank his longsword into the monster.

He tried his best to drag the blade deeper and farther across it's body, but it proved difficult and Jonen jumped away, yanking his sword along with him.

A tentacle flew towards him quickly and he found himself dashing to Praline and Black's side of the ten'acle. While running he looked back to Paper and saw her down on one knee.

Has suffered a small flesh wound to her left thigh and deep bruising. Character can still function, bleeding though not heavily.
