Chicken covered in sugar water sounds like a good breeding ground for bacteria.
Might be food poisoning. I'm not sure how that translates... but I'm not saying someone poisoned you. Well, not intentionally... You know, like salmonella.
Or feces...

Yeah, I'm doing that. Tried some antiseptic throat wash too, but it's really persistent.

If you REALLY want to get rid of the sweet and sour taste, and I'm not trying to be an idiot, you can try a bit of dish wash soap. Like, that lemon stuff, or whatever it's called.
I mean, when I was little, that taste, well any kind of soap, just blew out any taste I had before. D:
