Demi had already began following Gil, before something grabbed her ankle, keeping her from going far.

"You're not going anywhere with him.." Laurent groaned, tightening his grip around her ankle.  

[Zahzi]

A foot was suddenly planted on Laurent's back.
"...I believe the Lieutenant gave an order, skipper." The Gray Baron said with an amused chuckle.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"He didn't say s**t." Laurent said with a growl, looking up at the Baron. "What do you want anyway?!"  

[Zahzi]

"Oh? I seem to recall him saying to let her decide~"

"He never said I must allow to have a choice. He just stated she can make her own choices, but I've been ordered to not give her any."  

[Zahzi]

"Ya know...If someone tried that kind of logic on my ship, they'd be hung upside down with their heads periodically dipped in boiling water." Gray said in a chipper, nonchalaunt tone.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Oh why do you care so much?!" Laurent snapped, glaring at him. "She's just so damn entertainment to you that you can't share with me!!"  

[Zahzi]

"Actually, this time I'm more or less just here because you're disobeying a direct order from a commanding officer."

"FINE! FINE! She can go if she wants..." Laurent growled with an eye twitching, releasing Demi's ankle...

...Who did not hesitate to back away at least ten feet from the two.  

[Zahzi]

"Ya see? Trying to keep lovebirds away will only result in pain for you anyway." Gray said, picking Laurent up.

"We're not lovebirds!!"

"Okay. Even I can call bullshit there!"

"...He has a point, ya know." Gray said before looking at Laurent.

"...Fact that she follows him around constantly should show that..."

"It's damn near impossible to not find them together!!" Laurent groaned, slumping over.

"You!!" Demi exclaimed, pointing at the Gray Baron as she glared at him. "What will it take to get you to leave me alone?!"
