i was the same way, physical classes are much more fun, and you meet people, make friends, and have someone to cheat off of.

My school is known to be a place where it's difficult to make friends, and I'm terrible at talking to strangers irl. gonk
I've never taken an online course, though, so I don't know for sure how it would compare. I'm imagining that the online course of the future would involve video conferencing. That would probably be pretty cool.

some high standard universities already do that, only its usually jsut the prof. instructing the students and then the students would IM the prof. with any questions.
but yeah friends are easy to acquire and lose, some people observe the general demeanor of those around them and adapt, others wait for the enevitable guy that makes you feel welcome to a new place.
best way, if someone goes onto a topic on something you know about and you happen to be near them, chime in.

3 pictured. I hadn't finished the fourth yet.  Not fired yet, but I'm gonna do them in a sienna colored glaze, and then put a coat of really cool indigo on over that, which will show up in the depressions of the design. IT SHOULD BE REALLY NEAT.

Thats some nice craftsmanship thar! heh the last thing i made out of ceramics was my own mortar and pestle. its broke though...

I think this is similar to how my bowls will turn out, only with the design being spirograph instead of dots.
