And from the post it seems like they just wanted it to be about the cool s**t people are doing with Kinect. It's not like a contest where whatever did it first wins, they're just acknowledging that there is some cool ******** s**t people are doing with the Kinect. Most of them having nothing to do with gaming. XD

ok good
as far as gaming goes though, there are tons of awesome Wii games with motion controls, whereas my experience on the Kinect was like some bizarre other world where everyone in the room seemed to think it was the funnest thing ever but me
Granted that was just one game, but everything I've seen in videos doesn't really look all that fun either.
I just don't think it's fair to whine that people did stuff like that on the Wii first, because the stuff they are doing on the Kinect just works a hell of a lot better because it is so much more precise. Now I haven't tried Wii Motion Plus yet, and if it really is 1:1 they could probably do some cool stuff with that too. But the stuff you're referring to was before that was a thing, so yeah

It was really neat to mess with, but I can't imagine playing any sort of substantial game with it.

I beat the chicken level!!!
Now that I've seen more of it, this game isn't terrible. Especially for one starring the Pink Panther. I wanted to just pretend that I didn't remember it and tell everyone that Sonic was my first game, but no longer. I now accept myself for who I am: a poor fool whose very first video game did not have "Mario" in its title! >:0

Gee, I sure hope I can get a 3DS on Sunday, even if I barely get to play it for a month. I'm in Ottawa for its release and I don't really know how to get around here, or whether the few game stores I know of here have midnight releases for consoles.
