If I like listening to Sonic CD's NA soundtrack on my mp3 player, does that mean I have crap taste in music?

yes

No, but really, the music taste is a difference of opinions. I don't think that the level design is as much, because I know I'm not a mutant, and so a lot of other people probably got confused and lost just like I did really often, got frustrated by being pushed into certain paths they didn't want to be on because you didn't know how to actually get to them when a launcher shoots you out really fast, etc.

I don't care for the music much, though.

I also like listening to the options theme from Sonic Spinball, but that's mostly just because I think it's funny. I imagine someone calling it a beautiful piece of music, and then I derive pleasure from comparing it to Ring Around the Rosie.

The Genesis has a really unique sound to it, which I kinda like, but mostly don't like. Some games use it well, because they make it their own, but multiplatform games don't do it a great job.
