i hope that's not going to end up biting me in the a** in like 15 years lol

I don't think it's unusual for 19 year olds to not want to get married.

I'm 20, and I don't even have the desire for sex, so I might be a little naive, though.

Relationships period are just so much hard work. It's weird to want to be wanted. It's annoying to have to deal with other people, and deal with their sensitivities, and it's just a hard game to play. You bring something complicated and largely irrational like romantic or sexual desire, and you're just making it more of a head ache.

I guess for some people it's just hard to make it alone, or even to think you can, because singles are portrayed as miserable and lonely.

But I might be apt to oversimplify these things...

It's just so hard to get close to people, anyway-- for me, at least.

lolwat. This definitely makes sense. People get married because they are foolish young lovers and have irrational desires as you said, and most of the time they just get divorced, from what I've seen. :/

But not everyone. Some people really do just seem to love each other forever, and it has nothing to do with sex or needing to feel wanted. Not many, though.

Really, who knows about that stuff. Marriage itself really is kinda pointless, though. You don't need to go through a huge ritual to live together or have children or whatever it is that people get married for. I guess it's just awkward to refer to them as your "partner" forever.
