They wanted to show off a new gimmick I guess. Weren't more than half of the PS3 launch titles compatible with, or pretty much needed, the SixAxis control back when the system came out? Though it's funny how the controller never really made a comeback as soon as Sony started selling the Dualshock 3 controllers.

Yeah, and I remember them trying to say they couldn't have both sixaxis and rumble. Their quick cash-in attempt to copy Nintendo's idea didn't work out then, so they adjusted, and focused for four years to make the PS3mote. Ridiculous. Meanwhile, the Wii Remote had motion and rumble, and a speaker and a pointer and it's really small. WHO THE ******** TAKES OUT RUMBLE

I wish handheld gaming had rumble. I want more rumble, in everything. I want my controllers to fight back. I'd love to own a steering wheel controller for a racing game that actually pulls against you and s**t, but they're expensive and I don't play (m)any racing games that would support it. Controllers should fight us. Buttons should be harder to press when you do more strenuous actions. Motion controllers should be able to get heavier. Science it.

In some situations, rumble actually scares the crap out of me. xD

Playin' kingdom hearts, set the controller in your lap during one of the long a** cutscenes so ou can like, stretch your arms out or something.

Wasn't it actually because of their lawsuit with Emersion? Like, I know they said you couldn't have both in the controller, but that was obviously a load of s**t since we have it now (and the wiimote had it since launch).
