Interesting. I'm going to listen to the cries and compare to their Japanese names.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 08, 2011 1:58 pm

Freezer, Thunder and Fire lol. Shoulda kept those names for the translation, very original.

Clefairy's cry totally sounds like "Piipii", but you know how kids who speak English would have laughed and laughed at that. I still remember laughing even about PP (power points). gonk

Anyway, the cries are just really weird. It's like the Pokemon are awkwardly singing their names in 8-bit.

For the 20 dollars I'm expected to pay for a USED copy of Dark Cloud 2, I could get Desperate struggle new, and in a way be supporting the developers. I could buy SO MANY new games... I would in fact, not feel bad emulating Dark Cloud 2.... If I ******** knew where and how to load the stupid bios for a playstation emulator.

I love how perfectly impossible that is for me, and yet I hear dumber people talking about emulating Final Fantasy IX or some dumb s**t.

The point is. I have a deep sense of non-closure related to that game. I remember it probably more fondly than it deserves, and I never finished it.(Dark Cloud 2.)

Guys, the Spirit Temple is hands-down the best dungeon in the entire Zelda series. In my experience, at least. It's done so well and is so much fun. It probably helps that you have most tools in the game by then, and you actually have to use most of them, too. Even the Bombchus!

Did anyone else notice Skyward Sword Easter eggs in OoT3DS?

Their business just strikes me as kinda criminal... And I kinda hope they flop and go out of business after digital distribution destroys their used game scam. AND THEN THEY ALL BURN TO DEATH BURN FIRE DIEEEEEE--

I'll settle for out of business, though.

I hope there will still be room in this world for some kind of small game boutique, though... I would love to have a place around that maybe sells good old physical games. There are actually a lot of good boardgames which noone has ever heard about. Monopoly and all that other s**t are like garbage by comparison.

Also there's trading cards, which are far too expensive of a hobby for me, and of course comics, which I always feel weird for not reading more of( (I feel weird, because I find the wiki pages and TVtropes articles so damn fascinating and I don't even read the damn things.)

In my opinion, there is something special about holding paper in your hands... But something I can not be a**-ed to seek out from my local library, so I just download PDFs.

I know you guys make fun of me for being so stingy, but I could never keep as many irons in the fire as I'd like if I did not spend my time and money carefully... Even if it means I have to spend a bit more time thinking about how I spend my money razz I AIN'T GOT NO JORB. THE KINDNESS OF RELATIVES RARELY COMES BUT FOR 2 TIMES A YEAR.

I don't think brick and mortar is going anywhere, for at least twenty more years. Getting games online is pretty handy, but the only real advantages are not losing the actual physical copy of the game, having it in your collection to show off to people IRL, and not having to go to the store.

I really thought digital distribution would take off with cheaper prices, and Steam has kind of done that with their constant ridicudeals, but on the whole, it's pretty much the same.

That said, I don't like Gamestop much either. They rip you off in trade-ins, they rip you off in used games, and they rip you off with membership cards.
