To me, Netflix is purely a streaming service so I'm seeing no difference.

Xilo The Odd yeah but i heard they are increasing the monthly charge for it. i don't remember when its due to go into effect though. but its like a 50% increase. As far as I understand, the price hike is only for those with streaming and still mail order dvd rentals. I know a lot of people still do that, but I'm not one of them. My monthly sub. is untouched. The price plan for pure streaming doesn't seem to be affected by the price changes.

Newest season of Doctor who is the best... they get progressively worse moving back from there.
And now I run away before David eats me a alive for even IMPLYING such a thing. (You know it's true. You know the new series is better!)

No, I agree. After Steven Moffat took over it was like night and day. I still love the old stuff, but for the most part it's really cheesy compared to Series 5 and 6. And Matt Smith is probably my favorite Doctor now, he's great.

Me and David agree that if you start with the first episode of the 2005 series you will think the show is retarded.
Buuuuut.
A trashcan eats a dude, and it's totally hilarious.

Series 5 is a pretty good place to start, I think. It is more or less a relaunch. Everything before is canon, and they reference it a bit, but other than that it feels like a brand new show.
But also watch Blink from Series 3, because it is amazing

Meta_Fish Gonna watch Trigun, FLCL, and maybe some Doctor Who. What else!? You should totally watch The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. Unless, you know, they took it off again...

for doctor who, it picked up for me when david tennant took the role as The doctor, so at any point from there would be a decent start. matt smith did a good job as well.
i miss trigun... i think i'll download it as i've never truly seen the whole series.
FLCL i implore you to put your mind in the gutter.
as for other things...
i remember samurai shamploo being a decent series, but it was long ago when i watched it.
