The Eleventh AK No, I agree. After Steven Moffat took over it was like night and day. I still love the old stuff, but for the most part it's really cheesy compared to Series 5 and 6. And Matt Smith is probably my favorite Doctor now, he's great. Matt Smith is quickly becoming my Favorite Doctor. I thought Tennant was great, but Smith is just awesome. I'm currently on series 5. I just finished watching Vampires of Venice.

[Kegan] Me and David agree that if you start with the first episode of the 2005 series you will think the show is retarded. Buuuuut. A trashcan eats a dude, and it's totally hilarious. Actually, I loved the first series. Christopher Eccelston was an awesome Doctor in my opinion, and was my favorite doctor until Matt Smith.

The Eleventh AK Series 5 is a pretty good place to start, I think. It is more or less a relaunch. Everything before is canon, and they reference it a bit, but other than that it feels like a brand new show. But also watch Blink from Series 3, because it is amazing There's the whole problem with not knowing who River Song is, but they reintroduce her in her first appearance in the current series/season/whatever.
