There hasn't been a multi-player kirby since Superstar and it's remake, and those were 2 player. And now we get 3 new characters to play as, which is sorta better than turning baddies. In addition to that EVERYONE can be a different color Kirby, so you can both have your own powers. It's a lot like the other Kirby games because it's the same formula, but this time it's looking like it'll be the definitive edition. Also big power attacks, and brand new powers! Oh, and you can suck up your buddies and use them as projectiles.
People don't look at NSMB and say, Looks like another side scrolling Mario, I'd much rather just play Mario World. And they don't say that about DKCR either. Wanna know why? Those games are ******** great. I rest my case. SUCK MAH D.

[Kegan] People don't look at NSMB and say, Looks like another side scrolling Mario, I'd much rather just play Mario World. Actually I do say that WHOOPS. I don't even really see the draw of a multiplayer Kirby game. This isn't Metal Slug, it's not like Kirby games are very challenging. New powers and stuff is a cool though. I hope they bring back combining powers, but I haven't heard anything about it. We'll see.

Kirby Superstar is by far my favorite Kirby game of all time, because of its multiplayer. My friends and I played that game an obscene amount, and gettin Crystal Shards after that was a huge let-down. Combining powers was kind of neat, but what's great about Superstar, Squeak Squad, and maybe Nightmare in Dreamland is that you don't just have one or two moves as any given power. In Superstar there are a ton of moves, a lot of which I didn't know about for a long time, for each power! I hope more stuff like that comes back, because while Squeak Squad and Epic Yarn were fun, they don't hold a candle to Superstar in my book.
Crystal Shads was alright, looking back on it, but it was just a pretty big letdown for me because I wanted a 3D Kirby game. I get that they didn't do that either, but it still felt slow-paced, and the power combining, while neat, felt like it fell a little short. "Oh hey, these two powers turn Kirby into a fridge and he dispenses food. ....Okay next." In Superstar you can get ice power, and do a running flurry, shield as a block of ice, freeze enemies with any attack, do a spinning snow jump and breathe normal snow. I want more stuff like that, and more stuff like Squeak Squad's environmental destroying. Cutting/burning grass and the like.
HEY GUYS LET'S TALK ABOUT KIRBY GAMES I LOVE THEM

Four player co-op is a pretty sweet bonus, though. It would be even sweeter if I had three friends that I could play with. I like that you can just be Meta Knight or Dedede too, or you can all be Kirby, as well. It looks a little slow paced too, but adding co-op to sidescrolly games of yesteryear is a great addition in and of itself. DKCR was pretty much perfection, and NSMBW was a blast, too.

And who says the Wii doesn't have enough games, again? I'm sorry, when's the last time we got two main Kirby installments on a console? Along with all the other myriad s**t we've gotten.
It's times like these I wish I still talked to people like Sauvie, just to see what they are scrambling to complain about now.

i liked crystal shards specifically for the fact every power could combine with others to make neat stuff.
bomb and cutter. Splodin' shuriken well the list could go on but most of my fav powers involved cutter anyway xP
kirby and the amazing mirror had a nice set of powers to use, and the fact you could do multi on it was awesome, it only sucked cause you were bound by a link cable, and for 4 you'd need 3 of em.
if they make another multi kirby but no power combining, maybe power fusion, where one players uses theirs on top of another players for a powerful attack.

20 dollar amazon store credit. What do I preorder?
I'm kinda keen on SF643D, but I'm thinking we may see a price drop on that too..but maybe not, since it's the first big game following this massive price drop.
I should preorder sooner rather than later, so I'll snag any temporary price drops that happen between now and when it ships.

I HATE KIRBY BECAUSE IT'S SUPER ULTRA MUCH FUN BUT TOO SHORT AND BECAUSE IT HAS CO-OP BUT I DON'T HAVE ANYONE THE ******** TO PLAY WITH EVER BECAUSE EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD IS A GIANT DOUCHEBAG.
I also actually legit hate Kirby Canvas Curse sad That one level, I think in World 7 or something (it's been many years)? The ground and the walls ALL HURT YOU, so you have to ******** FLY by using the damn stylus but your ******** rainbow has a limit so you can't make it all the way and I almost broke my DS in half. It was scary because my DS lite wouldn't have been that hard to break had I gotten any angrier
I also really really want to try Air Ride... I haven't tried Crystal Shards, either.
