Actually pirating old pc games is incredibly inconvenient on newer systems, but the GoG team does bugfixes in order to make them playable for anyone, at an extremely affordable price.

I used to pirate all my DS games and now I have no DS games except for Pokemon HGSS and Black because I actually bought those. I also had Pearl, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Chrono Trigger at one point but they're gone now because I figured I didn't need to own them anymore if I could pirate them. Except for Chrono Trigger, which has piracy protection. Who knows why I sold that.

Imagine the *real* library I could have had if I had actually bought them instead of depending on this sketchy little cartridge that doesn't work anymore.

I guess it was kinda worth being able to try all the decent DS games that were out until the point where it broke without spending a fortune, though. I even got to try some Japanese stuff.

Not that I plan on ever pirating again. I didn't have money back in high school.

Probably a side effect of years of collecting, but this is where you completely lose me. There's plenty of stuff out there that's not really worth the money, but if I really like something I generally want to own it. Yeah, I could pirate Pikmin 2 or Persona 4 or whatever and sell my copy, but I love those games to much to even consider getting rid of them.

I wouldn't be able to pirate a game that I really loved either.
