so i just got some good news, my dads gonna help me afford a new desktop sometime within the next few months. finally a system where its gonna be the softwares fault not my fault that it isn't working!

I think that may be unrepresentative of actual traffic in some way... anyway, for one creator to get a tenth of the traffic of all of newground is frankly astounding.

Also, if the ranks are by how many links in there are, then you may wish to consider that one is essentially a flash media site, and the other is a webcomic, where people don't usually use links on other sites to get to.

And if bandwidth needed has anything to do with it, then that's probably an issue.

Regardless. Hussie seems to have crashed Newgrounds.

Right. Because Newgrounds already gets ten times his site's daily traffic. Did you not see my entire point? It couldn't handle an entire fanbase of people constantly refreshing (as if that ever helps) the page in addition to the much, much, much, much (and so on) larger amount of traffic that it already gets.

There's still plenty of single authors who get more or comparable amounts of traffic.

VGcats barely even updates and it gets more traffic than Hussie. Homestuck's fanbase isn't large. Rabid, absolutely, but they're just really vocal.

I agree with that, actually. I'm surprised people even visit it anymore (even though I do it myself once in a while).
