I'm about to move on from my book about the Green River Killer to a book about the Unabomber. Sometimes I think I should try to pursue a career in law enforcement... AND. And idea has come to me recently. We should totally start a guild book club. Because books are cool, man. I doubt an idea like that would gain much momentum, though... cat_sweatdrop

Which is why I've never taken part in a real life book club. cat_xd Because, I mean, who in their right mind wants to read a book endorsed by Oprah? And considering that in my area books with titles like Occupation Nurse are popular, I'd have no hope of a book club picking something I'd like. Also, I'm not kidding, there's a book my mom bought from a library for a quarter to give to my grampa's wife that has the title Occupation Nurse. It's some kind of romance novel, and that's the kind of stuff women around here LIKE. My beau makes fun of that book, saying he'll only read about a professional like "Job Doctor," not about "Occupation Nurse." He's kinda a goof, but I still laughed. >>; I'd rather read my book with Cthulhu stories in it that I bought at Goodwill, though... Or one of my dozens of books by Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett. They're such amazing writers. *drools over their writing style* You're probably already aware of the fact that I practically worship Neil Gaiman. >>; Who recently developed a game! I MUST HAVE IT. MUST. *trying to talk beau into pre-ordering it because I know he wants it too*

I mainly read books about fantasy and sci-fy and nothing else. Sorry I'd write more, but I feel like I'm gonna vomit.

Yeah, it's really too bad that Neil is already married and that I happen to like his wife, too... cat_xd Her name is Amanda Palmer, she's a super amazing musician and artist. I love fantasy books, and many sci-fi books; I've even managed to gather a good collection of old sci-fi mags~ And got them for free. >3> *offers jasmine pearl tea* I drank that last time I was ill, it helped me feel a tad better, and my beau likes jasmine tea when he's sick because it usually helps settle his stomach. I usually go for greens and herbals when I'm sick; they're lighter, and herbals require little sugar or sweetener, which sometimes exacerbate the problem. Clear, light broths and stocks are usually easy on the stomach, too. If you've got some ginger root, making tea with a few slices of ginger ought to help, too. Avoid acidic things, too; you prolly already know that, but can't hurt to state. *knows lots of random home remedies*

People think it's weird when I ask them questions about why they feel sick and tell them what to do. Don't worry, I'm feeling a bit better (I ate Saltien crackers) When I'm sick, I usually try to avoid any food, even Tums (I know, not food) I really don't try to have anything liquid, like broth sweatdrop I do want to try ginger, as bitter as it is...

I take enough drugs just for headaches, so anything I can do without killing my kidneys and liver with chemicals is good in my books. I hope you're feeling okay now~ My beau, his mum, and myself all consider ginger to be, like, the all powerful god root of home remedies, it can help with LOTS of stuff. If you don't much like the taste of ginger, you can just grate a little into foods with stronger tastes, like stir-fry and foods with Asian sauces. You could also try candied ginger; it's sweet with a little bit of kick, kinda like chocolate with cayenne (one of the absolute best ways to have chocolate, in my opinion; the Maya have had it right all along!). Those are the ways I like to have ginger, at least, and if you ever decide to have tea with ginger, stronger flavored teas will mask the ginger taste. c;
