Divash I've only driven through Michigan on the way to Toronto, and I'm sure the experience colored my perceptions very negatively. There were four traffic accidents. The trip that should've taken about 10 hours to drive wound up taking nearly 20. Horrendous. Once you get past the Metro Detroit area, people drive very well. In that 45 minute to an hour bubble any direction from Detroit (via driving), people can't drive worth a damn. There are a lot of people either 'just off the boat' who somehow get their license, and people who don't have them at all and just drive anyways, in addition to the older assholes who just drive like crap, anyways.

TheShrike Eh, my friend lives twenty minutes outside of Detroit. So, I can't really blame him... but I still intend to torture him. I'm a great friend! I drove across Michigan to go to Lollapalooza. Construction.... 80% of the way. Yep. There are two seasons: winter and construction season. The state motto: Road Work Ahead. State animal? 'bob' the barrel. We named the traffic barrel. The list goes on and on. They sell t-shirts.

The one thing I want more than anything is this Vivienne Westwood lighter, it is shaped like the orb, it is on a huge necklace chain, is super rare, and runs about 3-4 grand USED. I can pretty much only get it from Japan.

Yep, the traffic was awful. Pretty scenery, though, once we weren't in Detroit anymore.
