I think I made a neat choice for a present. I think that if I just told them not to spend money on me they would have gotten mad. This way atleast I get to play around/ add some new stuff to my computer.
I'm still not entirely sure why a 650 Watt power supply has SLI support, but I guess that if you built a very specific rig, it'd work. Plus the future may bring all sorts of more energy efficient cards.
In one day Kegan goes from knowing very little about video cards, to having the illusion of knowing what he's talking about.

Skyrim's not a game most people would use for benchmarking the power of a system, but I could run it just under 60 FPS at my full screen resolutions and high detail.
That's pretty good, I think.
I'm basing this assumption off a benchmark done by tom's hardware.
That computer had an overclocked version of my processor, though. I'm not sure that I even can with this board. The H series of sandy bridge motherboards somewhat limits your ability to overclock, but enables Intel HD graphics use, off the CPU.
That said, It's been a while since I read all the literature. That may simply mean that I can't overclock my graphics card after adding one. Or atleast not use intel's special "overclocking for stupid people" application.
I believe the commercial involved a grandma overclocking her PC enthusiastically.

If I kicked it up to "ultra" detail, I'd drop to the 40s in FPS, and that's not like, super terrible. It would be if I were running 3D, though. Because I'd probably get a headache.
Luckily, I lack the money for that to be a problem :B

Basically, at high detail, the FPS is about as good as I can appreciate with my current monitor. Which I believe only goes as high as 60Hz (Screen resolution 1980x1020)
I could be wrong.
Maybe the monitor guru will come and teach me in a moment.

Internet's back up already yaaay time to ramble about persona!
I played P3P for the first time in awhile last night. When I start playing a file that's already started and that I haven't played in awhile it's like "huh? *checks status screens*" for like five minutes and then once I get where I was going, it's like immediately some hands come out of the system and grab my head so I can't look away... and they also eat my soul. I don't know why, it's just so addictive and satisfying... I try to look at it with an objective mind and find flaws, and even if I do it's like, "but these don't matter! In fact, they probably add to the game's addictiveness!" It's like, magical. I mean, I still don't quite understand how it is that I can play that game for days on end and only stop to sleep. I like video games a lot, obviously, but I'm not hardcore gamer person eat sleep game bleh. I take frequent breaks, no matter how perfect a game. But last year's Christmas break was just insane. My family started to make fun of how completely glued I was to my PSP ( it had nothing to do with the PSP itself because it is a shitty system, aside from the fact that it's portable). I'm trying so hard to grasp exactly what makes it that way, and I can't. I really, really hope Persona 3DS is going to be a 3D port of P3P, except bump it back up to PS2-quality since 3DS would be able to handle that. It would look too amazing in 3D... I'd probably just start bawling. Most of all, I want it to come to the 3DS so it can reach a larger audience, such as yourselves... maybe you can tell me that the game is not that entertaining. Maybe you'd be lying. Oh please Atlus, give us P3DS! Please announce that when you're done with all the Sony P4 stuff!

Also I played Skyward Sword for like two seconds again. Every time it's just like... when a game is truly satisfying, it's like you can feel it the whole time, and it's one of the most pleasure-filled experiences... there are a lot of fun games, but so few seem to give me that feeling of pure bliss.
Sometimes I forget that I only have one life to live, and a certain amount of minutes to spend playing video games. I really need to stop wasting them on games that I KNOW are just gonna be "okay" unless there's really nothing better to do.

Ah, all the reviewers P3P an 8.5. I'd give it a 9.0, but that's cool with me. And Persona Portable got a 5.0 from Gamespot lololol! I'd give it lower than that because it's like, unplayable.
Aw man Persona 2 got a 5.0 as well? I was hoping it would be a lot better. I guess P3 and P4 are the only Personas worth giving much attention to.
